Trouble getting games on my Nano.

I bought Zuma the other day for my iPod. It's downloaded, it shows up on iTunes games. My Nano came with games already on it, so I'm guessing it must be game compatible. How can I get the game from my computer to my Nano? I've tried importing it, I've tried syncing multiple times, nothing works.

This crops up quite a bit here. I wonder why when folks buy games they don't see this warning?

  • Is there any way to get games for iPod Nano from apple?

I got an iPod Nano fourth generation but I cant find games for it anymore, is there any way I can still get a game for it?

Clickwheel games (which worked on the 4G Nano) were removed from the iTunes Store last October and they will likely not be coming back. Sorry.

  • Can you get games on the iPod Nano 2nd generation?

This is probably a simple question, but can you get games on an iPod Nano 2nd Generation?

No, unless you previously bought iPod click wheel games and still have copies of them. Apple no longer sells those.

  • Trouble downloading any music to nano

I just bought an ipod nano and I'm having trouble getting it to download ANY music. I transfered store-bought cds to itunes and imported them into the library, but my ipod won't automatically download or accept songs that I've manually dragged into the "Hayley's ipod" area. I've gone through every manual I could find and tried messing with all the preferences... nothing seems to work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    hi,
Your songs should be imported in the library - check it first. Once that is done create a playlist of songs you want to copy on to your ipod ( file -->newplaylist) Either right click on song to copy to playlist or left click and drag (from your main library)
After that you right click on "hayleys's ipod) , select
ipod options, select music and set it to either update all
songs and playlist/ or selected playlists.
    I hope this helps,

  • Need Help getting games working...

So I am having trouble getting basically any games working correctly on my arch setup.  This wouldn't really bother me but my gf likes playing them and I had a few working when I was using Bodhi Linux so she now thinks that Arch is not as good as Bodhi lol.
Please help me either get one of the games I have working or find some that will work.
Right now, the games I have been trying and problems I'm having with each are as follows:
Supertux: Really slow; I had this working on Bodhi
DJL: Not really a game but this is what I used to use to get games; I found in AUR but it hasn't been updated for awhile; When I try to run it I get the following error (although I think it is generic msg):
File "/usr/share/djl/djl/config.py", line 212, in config
    loc = locale.getdefaultlocale()[0].split("_")[0]
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'split'
bsnes: All the ROMs I find are .smc format and bsnes will only work with .sfc
Anyone have any ideas on how to get any of these working?  It would be greatly appreciated.  I love Arch so much more than any other distro I've tried because I can set it up exactly how I want and it runs so efficiently on my older computer but if I can't get some games working I'm going to be nagged to switch back to Bodhi.
The other option is to dump the gf lol, but its a tough decidion between Arch and her .

Yeah, I know it definitely doesn't have 3D acceleration bc when I was running Linux Mint I would automatically be put into "Fallback mode" as the MGSE req'd 3d acceleration.  What I don't get is how I had the games working while running Bodhi.
It might have been something in Djl that helped tweak the configuration and allow games to work because that was where I was using the games that I did.  I just had assumed that using Super Tux w/o Djl would be the same.  I do think that Djl not working has something to do with it needing Python 2 but I have tried and can't figure out how to force it to use only that.  Not sure if that is bc it is hard to or just bc I don't know how .
I did try to install Zsnes but got an error during the build.  I tried the 'zsnes-netplay' version bc it had been updated more recently (although still almost a year ago).  I'll give the other version a try today to see if it makes any difference.
Going to leave this as unsolved until after I try that so if anyone else has any suggestions, please feel free.  If no progress by EOD, I will mark as solved and take it that the fact that I don't have 3d acceleration is the cause of my problems.  As I mentioned at the beginning, I really could care less about the games.  Just was trying to keep the gf happy but not always possible .
    Thanks again,
    ~Boz~

  • How do I find games for ipod nano 3rd generation

I cannot find games for iPod nano in iTunes even though all the support keeps telling me to select iPod nano from the Source list. There is no source list, no games tab, nothing that leads me to the iPod nano games. When I click on apps, and just go to a game, they are all just for iphones, ipads or ipod touches. This is frustrating. Any help would be appreciated!

I believe that a few really low quality iPod games were distributed as freeware a long time ago, however you're much more likely to find malware infested web sites than any genuine source if you go hunting for them, and you'll still be disapointed with what you find. If you want games get an iPod touch.

  • Trouble getting new computer to be the main library w/o clearing everything

I got a new computer with Windows 7 on it...my other one is a Vista (which has the main iTunes library)...I can get Home Group to work for the two computers...but I am having trouble getting the new computer to be my new main iTunes library...it says I have to transfer purchases or clear everything...I just want to move things from my iPod to the new computer's iTunes...must it be so difficult??? I don't see why this must be so hard...the computers both have authorization.

iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads etc) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide

    HI,
The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as  Jabber Name/ID.  (Google Run  Jabber server).
Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another.  (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen  (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

  • Hi, I am having trouble getting an album to download. I have tried it on both my iPhone and laptop through iTunes but neither works. I am wondering if it could be the size of the album stopping it downloading (212 Tracks) Any Ideas?

Hi, I am having trouble getting an album to download. I have tried it on both my iPhone and laptop through iTunes but neither works. I am wondering if it could be the size of the album stopping it downloading (212 Tracks) Any Ideas?

These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
    Mac OS X:
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads   Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~)  refers to your Home directory.
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
    Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
    Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
