Trouble getting iOS 5

Hi...I was able to get to iTunes and to mention I do have the newest version of iTunes but I plug in the cord from iPad 2 to computer and say iOS 5 is available then I hit the download button and it starts to download but when it get to 39 minutes remains it stops and a message pops up on my computer that say iTunes was unable to load data class information from sync services. Reconnect or try again later....I've tried this a few times and it says the same thing....so I just need some help ...maybe I'm doing something wrong I don't know but some help would be nice...thank you for your time

Try this - Disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update.

At work we have many who travel with train alot, where the internet is very unstable at best. And they have trouble getting their e-mails. So the question is if there is a way to increase the mail cache in iOS 7, to lower the dependence of internet.

I don't think so. Unless it's in the settings, there's not much that can be done.
are they using wifi on the train? If so, maybe switching to cellular. There are devices like the Mifi, which is a battery operated portable wifi hotspot that they can connect their device to.
If the wifi on the train is solid, I know I've had issues using certain hotspots. For example, my yahoo mail simply will not pull down via the mail app if I'm on some AT&T hot spots. But if I go in via safari then it works. So if the signal is good, maybe using a different way can help.
Or maybe looking for a mail interface that isn't apple's. There are others in the app store that may have better function or more control.

Or are you looking for a particular app ? Some developers allow you to download older compatible versions of their apps : Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X.

You have a 2G iPod those can only go to 4.2.1.

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

How to get IOS 5 iphoto images to photostream?

i am using an IPAD2 and am having trouble getting my edited IOS 5 iphoto images to upload to the photo stream.
To be more specific, here is what I am looking to do:
I am looking to upload my camera photos directly to my Ipad and then editing them with iphoto, and then having them backup to my photo stream. however, i cannot seem to get my edited photos to appear in photo stream.
This has prompted another question of mine: is icloud and photostream the same thing? or is photo stream separate of icloud? My Ipad backs up to iCloud every night and i'm not sure what is backing up, and then i also use PhotoStream (or trying to). Which is the true way to backup photos?

To make an edited image go to Photo Stream you need to share that image to the camera roll as detailed here: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/ipad/1.0/#blnkee26bc1f. This can only be done 1 image at a time. Apple servers have taken a beating today (no suprrise there) and they have done a remarkable job at getting them restarted, but many people are having difficulties. That's what happens when millions use the same service at the same time.
Give it some time. The download took me over 4 hours this morning and I had to restart it once.
You will need to upgrade your mac to 10.7.2 to sync. Get the combo update.
So far today i have upgraded iphone, ipad, mac mini joining yesterday's itunes upgrade and numerous apps. App upgrades have taken a lot of time too.

Trouble opening IOS on Ml series 15454 Cards

I just recently inherited the O&M of our ONS 15454 SONET MSPP ring. My first task was to upgrade the software to 9.2.15, which went great, no issues to report. But now I'm having trouble opening IOS connections (from the CTC) to all of my ML Ethernet cards. I get the following message:
EID-1022
An IOS session cannot be opened right now with this slot. Most likely someone else (using a different CTC) already has a session opened with this slot. Please try again later.
No one else is logged into the IOS, and this is happening to every ML card in my ring. I can console into it directly and it allows me in, and I verify there that no one else is logged in as well.
I know my SONET, but don't know IOS very well so I'm not sure exactly what to try once I'm in there.
Can anyone offer any advice on something to try?

Thank you for the quick reply Sunil.
I was consoled directly into the card via my PC/serial connection. My security folks block Telnet on our network.
I do have a quite a few logins throughout the ring, but they are just using CTC in the node/network view and not using IOS. It is my NOC that is monitoring the TDM side of the ring.
When you say post a database, are you meaning a backup of the node?
