Trouble getting tunes I purchased on my computer.

I downloaded two full albums from ITunes on a friends computer in my account and they show up in my purchase history on my computer at home, but not in my purchased. I cannot get these tunes up. On top of this, I cannot email my problem to ITunes support for some reason. I fill out all information needed and then no categories appear to check off. Is there an ITunes phone support that I cannot find? What a pain!! I wanted to give the CD's as a gift for Christmas. That didn't work out, but I am not paying for music I never got!
Thanks for any help,
Curt

To burn a iTS purchase to a CD you first have to use iTunes. Once in iTunes you create a Play List of the tunes - in this case a PL of the iTS tunes (which if not iTunes + - then there is DRM involved). Once the PL is created you need to tell iTunes to burn an audio CD - selection available in the iTunes prefs panel. Once that is all done you can burn an audio CD. You just have to know how to use the itunes program. If you use the Help menu you can find most answers to iTunes questions and no need to post.
Basds on your post you wanted to give the tunes a a gift to someone. As I suggested maybe an iTunes gift card would have been easier.
You can transfer your tunes to another computer - you will have to 'authorize' that computer to play the tunes if there is DRM involved. To transfer you can burn a CD with the files or put the file on to a memory stick or an ext HD.
Limewire might be free but it is piracy unless you are paying for the rights to use the music. If you purchase the tunes then you have the right to enjoy them for personal use.

  • Cannot get my iPad purchases onto new computer

My Mac died and when I was migrating into the new one from a backup I seem to have entered the wrong user name in iTunes, which generated a new account.
The email address for the old account no longer exists and I cannot update it to my new one because this is associated with the second empty account which hasn't been set ut with any credit cards or anything. The second irroneous account cannot be deleted and only it can be associated with my only email address.
So I now have an iPad, filled with things I have bought that are not synced to the Mac. I get an option to erase the iPad and overwrite it with an older version from my computer, using an old email address that no longer exists as user name , or to erase the iPad and start anew with the irroneous account which has the correct email address but no content.
I seem to be too old to understand computers anymore. I need help.

I keep my itunes library in on an external drive, so I don't have this problem.  To get the files to your new computer, simply copy them into a location of your choosing.  This can either be in the music/itunes folder, or somewhere completely different.  Then go to the advanced tab in Itunes preferences.  Make sure the copy to itunes folder location checkbox, and the keep itunes organized checkbox are selected.  If you put the files into the original itunes folder simply hit reset.  Otherwise click the change location, and browse to your new music folder.  Itunes will then automatically start adding the files into your library.

  • Getting old itunes purchases on new computer.

I have changed computers a couple of times and now i am wondering if i can still get music I have purchased some time ago back on my new computer. i aee the recoder of my purchases, but i don't see how to get them back. how hong can you get music you have purchased from the store?

You get only one download per purchase. So you'll need to copy the purchased from your old computer. If you have them on an iPod, you can also copy them back to iTunes from there; use the "transfer purchases from iPod" command under the iTunes File menu.
    Regards.

  • Trouble getting backed up music onto new computer

Hi, my motherboard was destroyed on my old computer, but the computer technicians were able to back up my itunes music onto four DVDs. However, when I installed itunes onto my new computer, opened it up and then put my discs in my drive, itunes did not prompt me - as the itunes instructions say - to click restore. so what i did was go under file and click on "Add Folder to Library." I did this with all four discs and all of the music showed up in my library. So i tried to sync it with my ipod, and in the end most of the music on my ipod disappeared. And although everything is still listed in my library, if i click on many of the songs i get a message that it can't be found.
I'm looking for some solutions to this problem. Any ideas?

I lost my old library that was stored on a hrad drive that died. I did buy a new ipod so I could continue downloading stuff. I've now found this site that enables you to access the library on an ipod without itunes updating your ipod using touchcopy. You get to work with 40 tracks for free and then you need to buy the full version for $19.99. I wasn't sure about it but it does work.

  • Having trouble getting in-ap purchases

I can buy aps and music but tells me to go to Applestore help when trying to buy in-ap stuff.

I'm having the exact same problem.  Unfortunately, I can't tell you what is causing it, but I can tell you what it isn't(at least in my case).  I made an in app purchase yesterday using a MasterCard I had linked to my account with no problems.  This morning, my card from my new bank came in so I switched it over(American Express), and all of a sudden can't make IAP.  I thought maybe there was an issue with the card, so I tried it out on a .99 app, and it worked no problem.  So I got with tech support and they had me reset all of my phone settings -_-, then my network settings.  No change.  I tried restarting the phone obviously, closing the App and trying again, no luck.  They suggested I call my bank and make sure the address I had on file for the card matched what I supplied for my Apple account, and that didn't fix it either.  I tried IAP on two different apps and it was the same, could not connect to App Store error.  I'm still trying to figure it out, and I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I hope I at least save you some trouble of trying these things.  If I find anything out I'll let you know.

  • I recently updated my older Dell Inspiron, and cannot get tunes I purchased with old email addresses to play.

Need help.  Recently updated a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7.  Now, I am "not authorized" to play songs I previously purchased with earlier email addresses.  I can play all that I downloaded from discs, just not the ones I purchased.

Select Store > Authorize this computer.
If the menu is not displayed, Cntrl + B will display it.

  • Trouble getting past purchases to new IMAC

We recently purchased an IMAC and I am having trouble getting our past purchases to it. Our old computer is toast and last time we synced only got about 30 songs. I have authorized the new computer and searched for available downloads. I can see the past purchases in the store but cant get them on the new computer. Can any one help?

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies).  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.

Have you copied your content over from your old computer and onto the new on ? If not, and you still have your old computer, then there a number of methods described on this page which you can use to copy your library over : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 . If you no longer have your old computer then have you got a backup of your content that you can copy onto the new computer and add into iTunes ?

I have just purchased a new desk top. I would like to get my itunes into my new computer. I have downloaded the itunes program.  How do I transfer the tunes I have in my itunes account into this computer?  I know I have done it before, but can't seem to find how to do it.  Thanks.

iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico my first language is Spanish. I do not speak English, however I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. The apps in the iTunes App Store are only for the iOS devices. These apps do not run on Mac OS X. If the app exists for Mac OS X then it is a version created for the Mac and it will not run on iOS devises. If you want this app on your iOS device and on your Mac, you must buy both versions from their respective app stores.

  • Trouble getting new computer to be the main library w/o clearing everything

I got a new computer with Windows 7 on it...my other one is a Vista (which has the main iTunes library)...I can get Home Group to work for the two computers...but I am having trouble getting the new computer to be my new main iTunes library...it says I have to transfer purchases or clear everything...I just want to move things from my iPod to the new computer's iTunes...must it be so difficult??? I don't see why this must be so hard...the computers both have authorization.

iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads etc) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide

I just updated to itunes 10.3 & iOS 6.1 and I cannot download a song to my library! I get the error "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on the computer with just one apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 75 days." WHAT??
I've never had problems before - my husband and I have used the same library for years.  My daughter also has her own Apple ID... are we going to have trouble with that, too?  Actually we have 4 Apple IDs - somewhere around 8 Apple devices... this is a huge issue for us... HELP

Just to be clear - I just bought a new song and can't download it into the library because of this error message.
