Trouble importing GPS data from HoudahGeo

I can't get Lightroom to import geotagging data. This is my workflow: open Lightroom 2.5, drag files to HoudahGeo, run HoudahGeo and export geotagged EXIF files to a location on my hardrive, go back to Lightroom and choose Read Metadata from File. Nothing shows up in Lightroom. Help!! Thanks

Does HoudahGeo make a copy of the file with the Geocode information in the EXIF? You said "... export geotagged EXIF files to a location on my hardrive".
If so you need to Import those files to LR and the Geocode info should show up. Your question says to me you were re-reading the metadata from the original files that wasn't altered by HoudahGeo.
Is there a reason you have to use HoudahGeo? I use Jeff Friedl's excellent powerful Geocoding plugin for LR in conjunction with Google Earth and it works great. But read the documentation carefully about the way Jeff has to maintain "Shadow GPS data" in the LR Catalog. See http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/gps
You can also use the plugin with tracklogs from GPS devices.
Apologies if I misunderstood your workflow.

If the images do import the EXIF data, then you should be able to lift and stamp the GPS coordinates. I do that freuently.
Select on of your iPhone images and lift the sata
In the lift&stamp HUD deselect everything but the GPS coordinates, like this.
If no GPS-coordinates do appear in this setting, then your iPhone images do not have the EXIF info required, and you may need to check the iPhone settings.
If you see the EXIF data, then you just need to select the DSLR images that were taken at the same location and you can stamp the EXIF data to the DSLR images.
And after that you should be able to see their locations in the Places view.

Photoshop Elements 10 not importing GPS data from xmp file

PSE 10 is not importing GPS information from the xmp file. Lightroom correctly records the
GPS data but this info in not brought in when I add the photo to the PSE 10 catalog. Has anyone experienced
the same problem?

The Google map module and geotagging have only just been added to LR4, released this week. There is no longer a map feature in Elements since Adobe dropped the earlier tie-up with Yahoo. Adobe reserves the right to change and amend partner services and this has disappointed many users of previous versions of PSE. It’s possible that the map could be re-introduced into future versions of PSE but don’t count on it and given the significant price cut on LR4, the decision could be strategic.

Importing GPS data from Garmin Virb Clip into Premiere CS6

I have been trying to add a clip that I recorded on my Garmin Virb Elite into a sequence on Premiere. I have tried adding the GPS overlay to the clip in Virb Edit (Garmin's video editing software), exporting it as an mp4 and then importing it into Premiere. Unfortunately whenever I include the clip into my timeline, the GPS overlay has disappeared (speedometer, altimeter etc.). Is there any way getting it to work in Premiere (CS6), because the Virb Edit is not a very good programme for editing on.
Edit: I should add that when I watch back the exported clip in vlc, the GPS data shows on the video, but as soon as I put it in the time line in premiere, it disappears

Importing GPS data

I am having trouble with importing GPS data into Light Rm 4.2.
I am shooting a Olympus Tough TG-1 the gps settings are on and the gps data appears to be working on the camera. But when I import the photos by ether tethering to the computer or using the SD card most of the Metdata information such as the capture time, date, exposure, iso, flash, camera make and model, come through just fine. Whats not getting through is the GPS information.
For kicks I also tried importing my cell phone photos but they didn’t work ether.
Can you help me get my GPS information to work?

Well to be specific the camera model number and follow the manual to enable the same.
The GPS data is to be embded by the Camera istellf at the time when the pic was taken.
Please contact the OEM or tech support if you are not able to get the same.

When you restore from a Time Machine back up, you can tell it to not transfer folders like Desktop, Documents. Downloads, Movies, Music, Pictures and Public. Take a look at the article below for the steps to restore from your back up.

Tables are already created in both of the oralce databases only the data varies. I just have to import only few records from one oracle to another with the same user name and table already existing.
I have tried using database link. I can view records from the other oracle database but as soon as i write an insert command oracle gets held. I cant do anything.
Is there any other way?

Import xml data from a variable locations

Could some please help me with a solution?
Here's what currently runs on our server. An applications runs and does:
Create an unique folder
Copy a fillable, reader extended form into this folder
Put data in a XML-file (always same filename) and places that in the same folder
Open the PDF for the user to fill in the details.
Now, the change I want to make is to import the data from the XML file into the PDF. I used a button on the form using xfa.host.importData(). This fires up a browse-for-file-box so the user can select the correct xml-file. This works!
However, as the folder from where the PDF opens, is always a different one, the browse-for-file-box opens in the wrong folder. The user does see a XML-file, but that is from a different folder. So, what I wanted is the following:
The form opens
The PDF imports the data from the XML file automaticly, without user intervention
The user finalizes the form and saves it.
In short: How can I create a variable from the folderlocation where the pdf is opened, and merge that with the xml-filename?
Hopefully I than can use xfa.host.importData("filename.xml")

thanks for your responce. It sure was helpfull to have a look at that discussion. However, that article regards a defined source with a fixed path (xfa.host.importData("/c/path/to/xml/file.xml");)
There is my problem. I need to determine the path first since that changes every time. Then I want to import that file using code.

By the way, I also tried opening the same pdf from different folders. Adobe Reader seems to remember where it looked previous for a XML-file. So,if there is a way to set the folder where the browse-for-file-box opens with, that would be great too!

Importing master data from R/3 through functional modules

I am facing the below error when I try to import master data from R/3 through the inbound functional module /DMF/MDIF_PRODUCT_INBOUND to the PMR component (PMR - Promotion Management for Retail).

Just listened to a Mac Roundtable podcast and they were talking about removing or editing gps data from photos taken with an iPhone but they never explained how to do it.
Is it possible to remove or edit out latitude and longitude info from photo files?
