Trouble inserting USB plug

I am having trouble with one of the usb ports on my macbook; when I try to insert the plug from any device, the plug goes in about half way and then seems to get stuck. With the plug only in half way; the device isn't recognized. I haven't tried to apply more force without knowing more. Is it likely something is bent in the port, blocking the plug; is this an easy/hard fix, will I damage the port if I try to "force it" a bit, or have I pretty much lost one of my usb ports. I appreciate any advice.

If you look into the port, do you see anything? If you want to, shut down the computer, and remove the battery then use a small object--like a toothpick--and poke around in the port to see if that gets blocked by anything. Otherwise, you'll have to bring it to a store and have a Genius take a look.

My IMac will not load installation software for Mobile Internet USB Plug

Hi, I have a new IMac(Leopard), and have recently loaded a new USB Mobile Internet Plug (SFR France) on to the machine in order to access the internet/mobileme.We live on a boat in France so being "connected" is so important to us.
The installation software is in the USB plug, it loaded successfully, connected and worked well for a period of time.
The IMac then seemed to "forget" the application, and did not open correctly and I had to "force quit" to continue.
I then removed the application and any bits I could find in other folders, and tried to re-install by inserting the plug again. The Icon to install only flashed on the desk top and disappeared so I could not perform this task.
I even tried to "restore" from Time Machine (and my external hard drive), the icon to install appeared on the desktop and I installed the application, but when I clicked onto the "connection icon" it jammed again and did not load.
I checked the status of the installation device by loading the program successfully on the Macbook Pro I have, and even loaded it onto a Dell PC and even had it checked at SFR, and all ok. So it appears the problem is with the IMac.
Any advice suggestions would be greatly appreciated, it is so frustrating!

I have had similar problems with both Sprint and Verizon units (Novatel u727 & u760). Solved both by going to provider sites and downloading SW.

I assume you bought the iPad 2. It is a little more "difficult" to insert the connector on the new version due to the design - the curve and the angle if I remember reading correctly. I have the original. It should not be "very difficult" Make sure there is nothing impeding the connection. Check the connector cable and the dock on the iPad and make sure there is nothing there that could be causing a problem.
Inserting the USB into the adapter and then plugging into the wall socket should not be difficult at all if that is what you mean.

After battery flat, usb plug and itunes icon appear and unable to restore

last 2 weeks, my phone didn't work anymore.
my screen turn up with usb plug and itunes icons.
i tried to connect my phone to the computer, itunes was open.
i pushed the offbutton on the top and i pushed the home button for 10 sec.
then, i only pushed the home button.
i got a message from itunes, saying that he found a phone to restore.
i did restore, but at the end: i got following message:
" couldn't be restored, error 28".
i tried to restore my phone in DFU modus (like i read on forums), but it doesn't work.
i sent my phone to the shop where i bought it, they said it is caused by my attempts to upgrade to OS to 3.1. But in fact, i never tried upgraded it. as i said, it happenned after my phone battery flat. they said the solution software will only arrive to Malaysia next year. oh my god! they gotta be kidding me!
so i sent my phone to 3 others independent (not iphone) mobile phone service center and still waiting. now im using back my Dopod 818 phone which luckily i haven't scrap it.
Please help me, i had enough trouble since i bought it where i wanna try the apple technology

Iphone has a one year warranty.
You can take it to the official service provider (you can find this on Apple's website), and if the iphone is defective, then they will replace/repair.
Did you buy from Maxis? They appear to be the official provider there. They provide service as well.

How can I insert a plug-in in front of already inserted plug-ins?

If I already inserted and edited e. g. 3 plug-ins into an audio object, and now I want to insert another plug-in into the first position (e. g. Melodyne Bridge), how can I do that. In other words: I want the already inserted and edited 3 plug-ins to move to positions 2, 3 and 4, and the new plug-in into position 1.

In the Environment you can move plug-ins if you Control click on the plugin, then press the Apple key down and drag. If you hold down the Option key too, you can copy plug-ins.
Alternatively;
If you don't have a Channel EQ instanced and it's little icon isn't in the area above the first slot, double clicking here will open the Channel EQ and push all the plug-ins down a slot. You can then replace the Channel EQ with the plug-in of your choice.

I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with tech support, but I remain unable to have any sounds go directly to my built-in "Beats" speakers. I can make the speakers work if I insert a plug into the headphone jack on the keft side of the notebook. If I plug in headphones to listen, I do get sound out of my headphones, but I also get sounds out of the builr-in soeakers. Tech Support insisted that either I spilled liquid onto my keyboard. (I did not), I dropped the notbook. (I did not), or the my computer was infected with a virus.
I doubt that this problem was virus related, because the problem happened during a 4 month period that I had no internet service. To be certain there are no viruses, I took the extreme action of restoring my notebook to the factory condition. I still have the same problem.
During my 6 hour troubleshooting marathon, the support technician had me update my BIOS and initiate many lengthy self-test procedures, all to no avail.
Please send me information on who to send this laptop to for repair or replacement under the original warranty.
I also have another issue. Tech support claims that my notebook warranty expires in November, but I purchased this notebook from Sam's Club brand-new, in an un-opened box in mid-January 2012. How can this date be explained and/or corrected?

Your headphone jack is not working correctly on the laptop.
Was everything working correctly before you upgraded to Windows 8?
I know that you said that you updated the driver, but did you try the driver for Windows 7 and 8.
