Trouble installing 10.0.42 Plugins on Fire Fox

Apparently I need to update Flash to 10.0.42.  I click the "install missing plugins" at the top of Fire Fox then it opens another window to install it.As it trys to install itself an error appears saying
Error opening file for writing:
     C:\Windows\system 32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll
I then click ignore to stop installation and the next window that appears says
Output Folder C:\Windows\system 32\Macromed\Flash
Execute"C:\Windows\system 32\Macromed\Flash\uninstall_plugin.exe"
Can't write C:\Windows\system 32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll
I have never had a problem with Flash before so I don't know what to do.  I have run Fire Fox on Vista.  If you need more information let me know.  Thanks.

And I have tried to uninstall Flash and then reinstall it.  Nothing changed.

This is a really interesting subject!
I have a couple of questions:
    1. Isn't it possible to use xchg to swap the functions?
    Something like:
    ref_sys_open = (void *) xchg(sys_call_table[__NR_open], new_sys_open);   <---- switch to custom function
xchg(sys_call_table[__NR_open], ref_sys_open);  <----- siwtch back to original function
    2. I'm getting "BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request" and functions aren't switched back to original ones. That's probably from the functions that try to set RW/RO, but I'm not sure why it's happening. (I'm on x64). Have you had the same problem?

  • Does the plugin slower fire fox and what is the important pluggin as i have too many plugin???

i have many plugin and i want to know if this has a negative effect on my browser or not

Some plugins do and some plugins don't affect speed. But without plugins some websites won't work at all or won't work completely. Adobe Flash is probably the worst plugin out there, based upon its' overuse and misuse on too many websites, and the fact that it autoruns as the web page containing a Flash presentation finishes loading. Not that big of a deal if you load one tab at a time, but if load multiple tabs at the same time and they all have a Flash presentation, they're all going try to be running at the same time, slowing your computer and page loading drastically.
I think you have an average number of plugins installed.

  • Problems running Flash 11.7.700.224 on Fire Fox 22.0

Problems running Flash 11.7.700.224 on Windows 8, browser Fire Fox 22.0. Plug-in crashing and/or not responsive messages; browser hanging and/or slow, especially when opening new windows; You Tube videos error messages; Flash not detected on Adobe Troubleshooting page, even though installed; Flash content loads but does not display in window (no frame, or black or white screen in frame). Thank you for any reply, hopefully simple -I'm not technically inclined.

After using Flash player 11.8.800.94 for one day, it crashed.
So, I uninstalled it using the uninstaller provided by adobe then
    disabled avast then
    reinstalled 11.8.800.94.
Attempted to restart, but got this error message:
The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x74c02005.
While writing it down, restart reverted to desktop.
Successfully restarted and opened FF22.0 browser and
went here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html#main_Find_the_Flash_ Player_version_installed_on_your_machine to check version.
I could not see the Flash movie, the version checker said that Flash Player is not installed -- even though it shows Shockwave Flash 11.8.800.94 installed on the plugins list on Fire fox add-ons manager.
Is there a difference between Flash Player 11.8.800.94 and the latest Flash Player plugin for Fire Fox, or are they the same thing?
I have no idea how to fix this and not finding any clear answers on any of the other discussion question pages on this topic.
Can anyone from Adobe please help?

    Hi !
Owner of an HTC hero, I would like to develop some apps for it. However, I have problems to install the android eclipse plugin on my archs (a 32 and a 64 bits) while it is working fine on my roommate's ubuntu...
    I'm following these instructions : http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html
At step 3, when I click OK in order to add the site, just nothing happens, the pop up stays displayed and I can still clic on the bottons, (but only "cancel" do something...) . I've tried to start eclipse from the console, but no output here
Why do you think this happens ?
I have also problem with the sdk tools :
when I try to view the available packages il get :
Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repos … sitory.xml, reason: HTTPS SSL error. You might want to force download through HTTP in the settings.
(even if I ask to use HTTP insted of HTTPS)
Have you already got this problem?

  • Trouble installing pepper flash plugin for Chromium

Hello. I've been trying to install the pepper flash plugin for Chromium via the Chromium Plugins package in the AUR here: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/chro … per-flash/ . I successfully extracted the tarball, built the package and installed it using pacman. After restarting Chromium, however, the only new plugin I see is the Chrome PDF viewer; no pepper-flash plugin is visable. I thought about maybe installing the flash player that you can download from Adobe's website but I don't know if that would interfere with the plugin I should have already installed. Any advice on how to get this plugin to work in Chromium would be great. Thanks.

I have pepperflash installed on my chromium and it identifies itself as
Adobe Flash Player - Version: 13.0.0.214
    Shockwave Flash 13.0 r0
    Name: Shockwave Flash
    Description: Shockwave Flash 13.0 r0
    Version: 13.0.0.214
    Location: /usr/lib/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so
    Type: PPAPI (out-of-process)
This is in about:plugins url and is not an up-to-date version, but it works. I'll try updating to the newest version and see if it breaks things

  • Firefox 3.6.6 is not working in Facebook games links. I've checked adobe version and updates, and disabled hang protection, also installed windows flashplayer 10 plugin content debugger.

I am having trouble with firefox in facebook games links. Games do not load. Adobe flashplayer is the right version and is the latest for firefox. I have firefox 3.6.6. I have also installed windows flashplayer 10 plugin content debugger. I also changed the hangtime changing the sec to -1 from 45, previously. I have windows xp service pack 3 home edition. 2100 Mhz AMD processor, 512 MB memory, 2 GB virtual memory. adobe version is 10,0,42,34 I have adobe flashplayer 10 active x, adobe flashplayer 10 plugin, adobe reader 9.3, shockwave flash 10.1.53.64 with shockwave director 6.0.0.55 macromedia shockwave for director netscape plugin version 6.0, and shockwave director 11.0.3.470 adobe shockwave for director netscape plug-in, version 11.0. I have had problems with Adobe DLM version 1.6.2.63 as it is not compatable with firefox 3.6.6.

    Replying to my own question...
Turns out that although libjavaplugin_oji.so is still shipped with Java, it's only there to support older browsers.
With Firefox 3.6 and later, the link in plugins should instead point to jre/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so

  • Aftre installing the update, fire fox doesn't open any pages.

aftre installing the update, fire fox doesn't open any pages.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

    hi,
If you have 7zip you can extract all the files from the fb_XXXX.exe, then run the installer directly. Odds on you have a corrupt fb file as all the adobe installers play nicely with windows 7.

  • Trouble installing Flash Player 11.8.800.94 on Macintosh

I have had repeated trouble installing Flash Player 11.8.800.94 on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) despite following every step listed in the Macintosh Installation Help guide: uninstalling previous versions, turning off anti-virus protection, etc. Each time I get a warning message for both Safari and Firefox attempted installations as follows: "Error: General installation error." The only solution seemed to be to reinstall an earlier version: 11.7.700.225.
    Any suggestions?

    http://blueskyworkshop.blogspot.com/2013/04/cant-install-flash-on-os-x -mountain.html
If you're not comfortable with terminal commands:
Download the offline installer here (right click and "Save as")
    Quit all browsers
Go to: MacHD/Library/Internet Plugins... and if the Flash Player.plugin is still there "trash it".
Then go to: Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe and "trash" the Flash Player folder if it's still there.
    Empty the trash.
Mount the DMG and run the installer
Relaunch Firefox and it should work
