Trouble installing AE CC for Mavericks

Hey there,
I recently downloaded the patch for AE CC Mavericks. I was able to get AE to boot up once, but for some reason it ran in trial mode. Now, every time I run AE I get prompted with the "Your Trial has Ended" screen. Signing into my account doesn't work ( and yes, I do have an active subscription). Additionally, I've also tried signing in/out of my account through Adobe Application Manager, but to no avail.
I appreciate any help I can get.

Hi kyleman2k,
Please refer the KB : http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html

Run Windows or find a Mac version of the software or buy a Windows computer.
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows 7 or Windows 8.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusion and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. A more recent comparison of Parallels, VM Fusion, and Virtual Box is found at Virtualization Benchmarks- Parallels 10 vs. Fusion 7 vs. VirtualBox. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard and later. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

This is what I get always .

Install homebrew. Then brew update followed by brew upgrade. Leave it alone. RVM will look for the presence of this package manager, and will use it to install any missing dependencies when installing RVM itself or new versions of Ruby that need to be compiled.
Without system privileges, just perform the rvm curl install into your home directory. Everything gets stuffed into ~/.rvm hierarchy.
In the Terminal, to see latest Rubies.
    rvm list | more
Although OS X 10.9.3 updated MRI Ruby to 2.0.0p451, a 2.0.0p481 and 2.1.2 release are now available.
    rvm install 2.0.0p481
    rvm use 2.0.0p481 --default
    rvm list
    gem update
Verify that your .bashrc file has this new Ruby path included.
    export PATH=$HOME/.rvm/gems/ruby-2.0.0/bin:.:/usr/local/bin:$PATH
and at the end of the .bashrc file:
    export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/.rvm/bin
    [ -s $HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm ] && source $HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm
It is a good idea to keep RVM current.
    rvm get stable
Though unrelated to RVM, I would also do a softlink of the old Ruby-Cocoa v1.8.7 version.
    ln -s /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/bin/ruby ~/bin/ruby18
Apple did not bake any Objective-C/Cocoa support into Ruby 2.0. It is in the older version above.

  • I'm having trouble installing the update for camera raw CR2 file reading in photoshop CS5.

I've downloaded the update, but cannot seem to get it attached to the program, they're not getting embedded somehow.  Any ideas?

You're not supposed to "embed" anything.  You need to install the Camera Raw 6.7.1 plug-in strictly according to the very specific instructions for your platform, Mac or Windows, given on the download page.
Please note that later versions of Camera Raw (higher than 6.x) will not run on CS5.  Make sure your specific camera model is supported in 6.7.  "CR2" means nothing.  Every Canon camera model generates a different flavor of CR2 files.
If your camera is one of the many newer models that was not supported in CS5, you will have to look for the free, stand-alone Adobe DNG Converter 8.1 or 8.2RC, download it, install it, and then run it in order to convert your raw Canon files to raw DNGs you can then open in ACR 6.7 hosted by CS5.

  • Trouble installing Office: 2004 for Mac

Hello. I hope someone can help me. So here's the deal.
I've been using Office X for some time. I bought Office 2004 for Mac (Student Teacher Edition) from a friend who upgraded last May. I got the manual and the Product ID with it. I never got around to Installing it, but my hard drive failed recently and Apple replaced it, obviously without any of my stuff on it.
So I decided if I have to reinstall all my software, I'd go ahead and use the Office 2004 as I don't think the Office X is fully compatible with Tiger (because of it's age and a few issues I've had with it over the past two years). Now, here's the problem. When I tried to install it, the product ID didn't work as the Product/CD Key. I called my friend and she no longer has the box or the Product Key, and of course, the Product key from my Office X doesn't work.
So now I'm stuck. Is anyone familiar with Office 2004 for Mac? Is there any difference between the "retail" version and the Student/teacher version that would prevent the Product Key from one with working with the other? Would anyone be willing to share their Product key with me, to install the software so I can get back to work?
I've already lost 4 days in time (and have to recreate 2 days worth of work that was done after my last file backup) and don't have time to deal with this stuff.
I may be contacted directly at robertben1 at comcast dot net.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions/help.

  • Anyone else having trouble installing MeasureIt extension for FireFox 8.0

I've installed the MeasureIt extension from the 8.0 browser version and also from the Frayd Media (frayd.us) and then restarted my computor to no avail. I love the extension and think it's worth a contribution ... if I can install it successfully? Is there a trick to it (smile)?

There's a note at the bottom (in the RSS feed at least) that this update isn't for Intel Mac's. Not sure where that leaves us in terms of the security hole tho! If you need to restore the Intel Flash plugin, search this forum and there are a few threads with solutions.. Cheers,

  • Trouble installing WMA & WMV for mac osx

I just purchased my ibook 14" two weeks ago, I used to listen to radio programs online from international sites and some business sites. Both of these offer to download and intall WMA & WMV for mac but after I download I can't seem to get the stream??? I tried installing a VLC player, but I don't know how to make it my default player?? Can anyone help me with setting this up? I'm clueless!!

Well, have you tried Windows Media Player for Mac? I have version 9.0.0 and I can access Internet Radio sites directly from the Application. Or must you use the other media player to listen to those broadcasts?
Sorry i cant help more than that. I guess I am just limited in Mac knowledge!
    Nathan.

  • Trouble installing Cisco Connect for E4200

I just got a new E4200 router and downloaded Cisco Connect from the web site...file name CiscoConnect.E4200.1.4.11160.2.exe. When I try to run it, I find through Task Manager that Setup.exe is using about 35 to 40% CPU, but I'm never even getting to anything on the screen, nor is Task Manager even showing it as a running application. I'm running Windows XP SP3 (latest updates). I tuned off the AVG virus scan. But it still just seems to hang. Any ideas? BTW, I used the web interface to fully configure the router and it works fine so I could get by without Cisco Connect, but it might just be easier to use. Thanks. -Bruno

I suppose I've waited five to ten minutes.
This isn't Cisco Connect... it's the install Setup. I tried running it from the CD that came with the router and that one first had me agree to the terms, then it said it was downloading updates and just hung there... but I could see that it had given up actually downloading from the net. When I tried to install from the downloaded setup (not CD), it never got to any user interface.
I'll try again tomorrow and wait longer. But what would it be doing that would suck up CPU time so heavily. It's only an installation setup. BTW, both version sucked up CPU time and the Task Manager said it was Setup.exe that was doing it.

    Hello atlasHW,
Where are you trying to install GXML from? Is it the gxml_140_installer.zip file found here: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/6330#0requirements? A screenshot of the message you're getting would be really helpful as well.

  • Having trouble installing mavericks due to damaged disk

having trouble installing mavericks due to damage disk.

Same here. I tried loading Mavericks on an early 2008 iMac. Apple Care says the failure is due to a bad hard drive. Even though I was not experienceing any problems prior to installing Mavericks. I’m skeptical. I must now take the iMac to Apple for repair.

  • Trouble installing 2.1.1 for ipod touch generation 1

I am having troubles installing 2.1.1 ipod touch software on a gen. 1 ipod touch. I am using an IMac G5, itunes 8, OS 10.5.4 and the process of updating in itunes has frozen with the blue candy stripe bar spinning as it says "preparing iPod software for restore."
The ipod is black with an white apple and a spinning wheel.
    It's been about 5 hours.
    What should I do?
    Cheers.

Just found some info on apple support.
Updating your iPhone and iPod touch to iPhone software 2.0 or later for the first time
Software updates prior to iPhone software 2.0 updated the device without affecting your settings or media content. Updating your iPhone and iPod touch from iPhone software 1.x to 2.0 or later includes a back up, erase, and then restore of your device prior to installing the new update. iTunes will offer to create a one-time media backup of your device depending on what content is on your device and what content is stored in the iTunes Library you are connected to. You should ensure that you have enough free space on your Mac or PC to accommodate a backup that matches the capacity of your iPhone or iPod touch (4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB) if you proceed with the this backup.
As a result of this comprehensive one-time media backup, this process can take some time. The amount of time, is determined by the amount of data on the iPhone or iPod touch.
7 hours and counting. Stay tune. Maybe by tomorrow morning!
