Trouble installing an E4600 processor into 945GCM5-F V2

I'm having a problem with this, i manage to get the chip in correctly and close the "lid" over it, but the catch that keeps it all in place slips out and pops up
meaning that its not secure. Ami doing soemthing wrong or is it faulty?

You need to slide the lever downwards, i.e when the lever is up pull it away from the socket parrallel to the board. This board uses a slightly cheaper 775 socket than some of the more expensive boards.

Trouble installing doubleclick studio components into flash CC

Having just joined the Adobe CC world and needing to create some Doubleclick creatives. Can't seem to install their Doubleclick Studio Components .mxp file into Adobe Extension Manager CC.
It won't recognise the file in extension manager cc. Does anyone else have the same issue? how have you resolved it?
It installed fine on CS6 and previous CS's.

Please use Extension Manager CS6 to convert MXP extensions to ZXP extensions then install them in Extension Manager CC. Satellite L505D-S5986 - trouble installing Ubuntu using live USB/CD

Hello all I need urgent support from all and the ubuntu community.
I am a passionate Ubuntu user and I have been using for a year. My old laptop got crashed when I flashed the bios.
I now bought a TOSHIBA L505d-S5986 laptop which has amd athlon 2 dual core M300 processor and ATI Radon 4100 video card.
I had huge trouble installing ubuntu when I put the live usb/cd it took very long time to boot and when it got inside the OS every thing freeze.
I then tried fedora but even that dint work well it got into the same problem freeze!
I searched and found that its due to the error acpi:lnxvideo:' unexpected exit with status 0x0009.
This also given in this thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1301101
So I put the acpi=off in the grub boot menu and then added to the gconf and now ubuntu is working. But the system monitor shows just one processor in use (again due to disabling acpi I guess) and ofcourse when I remove the power ubuntu dosent dim the screen and dosent show any battery sign.
All linux guys and developers please post a solution for this hardware module.

This is very strange and Im only using Knopix bootable DVD sometimes so Im not a Linux expert.
There is no official support for Linux from Toshiba but the only interesting that I have founded is this:

Trouble installing CS4 in Windows 7 64-bit

Has anybody else had trouble installing CS4 into Windows 7 Pro 64-bit? I had this suite installed in XP (32-bit) and it worked just fine, but it will not install on my new computer. The first time I tried, it got partway in (past the serial number), and then everything locked up. I had to restart the machine twice just to make it let go of the CD!
Someone on a forum suggested copying the disks to the hard drive and installing from there, but this did not work any better, the installation simply fails immediately, and I get an error code 1605. I tried it with the firewall off, and with anti-virus disabled, and I never leave User Account Control enabled. What is going on?

Trouble installing PSE9 via Vista

Newbie here.I am not overly technical and need help installing PS Elements software. My O/S is Windows Vista Home Premium w/ service pack 2; Quad Core processor; 8GB ram; 64 bit O/S .
I just purchased PS Elements/Premiere 9. Everytime I try to load the software (via disc) the autoplay feature does not give me an an option to run the software. I get options to open photos via Microsoft software or open folder to view files in Windows
Explorer. I have tried the following:
Opened in Windows Explorer; opened the file(s), viewed various folders, don't see an executable file to run or install the program
Gone into the into the Control Panel; Autoplay; clicked "use autoplay for all media and devices" (even tried to unclick this feature); tried to load software numerous times with no change
In Control Panel; Under software and games drop down menu; set to "Install or run program"
Uninstalled other photo software
At wits end here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are using windows disk 1 and not the Mac OS version.
Inset the disc and then click the Windows Start button and go to Computer.
Right click on the CD/DVD drive where you see the PSE/PRE Icon.
Select Open.
The application file is called auto-play. Double click it to start installation. It should install in Program Files (x86)

For Users Having Trouble Installing...

If you are having trouble installing and have access to either another Mac or can Boot your old OS, try installing Pacifist from http://www.charlessoft.com/
Then pop your Leopard disc into it and open the disc using the third button on the main menu
It will scan the disc when it shows you a list of packages hit the "Verify" button at the top of the window. Then go do something for another 30-45 mins. When you get back it will show a detailed list of files missing, or that don't exist.
I am missing 124,891 files according to the report and 20,000 of my files have different checksums. I know that my disc is DOA and I recommend that if you are having that problem as well, to schedule and Appointment and get your disc exchanged.

Trouble Installing Lightroom 5 from Creative Cloud

I'm having trouble installing Lightroom 5 from Creative Cloud. The file seems to download ok, but once it goes into it's installation I get the following error message:

Trouble installing jmf

I having trouble installing jmf on my laptop runing Windows XP. I downloaded the jmf-2_1_1e-windows-i586.exe onto my computer and it run succesfully, but I am still not able to import javax.media into my jdk. When I run JMF diagnostics it also tells me that JFM classes - Not Found.
Can someone please help?

jmf-2_1_1e-windows-i586.exe is designed for Windows 9X or NT4.0. So, it may very well not install correctly.
You'll probably need to setup your environmental variables yourself. If you're using an IDE, you need to manually add JMF.jar to your list of project libraries.

In some cases, you could've tried using the printer without installing its drivers from
the included software disc; because OS X has several printers already supported.
The likelihood of this support being already in the computer would depend on a few
factors, such as the actual age of the printer's driver technologies. Often, a printer
whose driver set includes more recent OS X version drivers, also includes those for
older OS X systems, too. I've usually tried the printer (attached, turned on, then boot
the Mac) and with it running, hooked up to the Mac, I've looked into the Page Setup
and Print items in an open application's File menu, and see if the printer is listed.
Special features included, such as extra editing software for images, proprietary
options exclusive to the brand, may be packaged in the software disc included
with the printer. In the case of the HP printers, especially some all-in-one models
with scanners, fax, copier, and printer, these can be a hassle to set up. For mine,
I had to go to the HP support site and download a huge 300MB file of drivers for it.
On the other hand, my Epson photo printer just works; even over a USB wireless
plug-in on my base station or direct to the wired USB networked hub nearby. No
need to install any drivers for several brands, even in OS X 10.4.11.
If you have more than two sets of similar drivers, you may have to research to
be sure the one(s) you have are able to work in the OS X in the computer. Any
others should be removed from the computer. Some of the software extras, to
include stitching panoramas and third-party editing options should be checked
into before using them, to be sure they don't install more when launched than
you may want. Installing unnecessary or problematic software should be avoided.

If you have a serial number, you simply need to enter it into the proper fields.
Since you don't say what version of Lightroom, and what sections are "blocked off", let me guess that you have Lightroom CC, and you need to enter the serial number to turn it into Lightroom 6. And if that's not the right assumption, then please give us the details.

Are you having trouble installing CS5.5 on your mac (os lion 10.7.3)? Are you tired of receiving error reports (i recieved "exit code: 24" numerous times)? there is an easy way without hacking your mac into bits. start your comouter in security mode (hold down the shift key while your mac boots). Pop the CS5.5 Application 1 dvd into the drive and follow the instructions. no problems. no exit codes. no hassel. no swearwords. just an installation that works. why this is necessary is a mystery to me. but it works. after installing, don't forget to restart your mac in order to exit of security modus and return to normality;)
i hope this helps a few lost souls like me who have wasted hours of their time over the past couple of days. correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't updates suppose to make things work better?

You can disable the Lion resume feature.
Open System Preferences > General
Deselect:   Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
As for Facebook, select "Keep me logged in" ..   even if the page refreshes, you should stay logged in.

For Lion v10.7x: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash. Quit then relaunch Safari.

Km4m-v issues. Won't install XP or boot into it.

I have KM4M-v with Sempron 2200+, 40gb hdd, 512mb ram. Problem is, since installing the board the pc will not boot into xp. t gets to welcome screen then shuts down. It will go into and stay in safe mode hapilly, but won't boot into xp normally. I thought it was the build, so I tried to reinstall. It gets the the point where setup is about to go through process of asking about partitions after loading all the files, machine then shuts down. COuld this be a simple issue of heat transfer paste, or is it something else? I didn't use new stuff when I installed a new processor (managed to blow last one up - hence new mobo and processor!) Any help would be great!!

In many cases, a reactivation is needed when making this kind of upgrade, but time will tell.
