Trouble installing CS6 on my mac

Im having trouble installing CS6 onto my mac. I have tried each way a few times and it isnt downloading, it might get to half way and then it stops. Any ideas?

What Mac? What version of OSX? What are the specific errors. And clarify whether you actualyl alrteady have successfully downloaded and get stuck on installing or if it's the otehr way around. That false intermingling of terminology is really not helping.

I'm having trouble installing CS6 beta; when I try, it says to close background processes - specifically Bridge, which is NOT open. In fact, I just turned the computer on and tried to install what was dowloaded last night. Any ideas?

Are you on Mac or windows?
If you check the Task manager in Win (CTRL+Shift+Esc), or the ForceQuit applications dialog (CMD+Opt+ESC) do you see any Bridge, or other Adobe applications running?

I deactivated CS6 and uninstalled on my PC, so I could install CS6 on a Mac. I downloaded  CS6  on my Mac, but when I try to put my serial number in it's telling me the number is invalid.  What should I do next?

IIRC PS CS6 is not Cross platform. It takes a different license key code for each platform. A License key for Windows won't work on a Mac and a key for a Mac won't work on Windows. You'll need to buy another copy/License for Mac OS X.
At one time Adobe did allow you to switch platforms by paying them some money and getting a Mac license key code which I think then Deactivated the Windows license key.
IIRC the CC version does allow you to install on EITHER platform. But only one platform at a time. You can't have one copy on Windows and another on a Mac. Adobe does allow you to install on 2 computers with one license key but it must be on the same platform (Operating System) and both computers and or install of PS CC can't be used at the same time.

  • Trouble installing elements 12 on mac maverick.

I have a MacBook Pro with 10.9.4 OS.  Just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and I am having trouble installing.  I put the disk in my computer and my Mac just spits it back out.  I tired everything I can think of and nothing seems to get the disk to read.  Has anyone else had any problems getting Elements to install?  Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem or point me in the right direction of where to find the answer?

  • Having trouble installing Photoshop & Illustrator on Mac OSX 10.7.4

Hello Im having trouble installing Photoshop CS6 and Illustator CS6. I am geting the following errow while trying to install in Creative Cloud Download Manager:
    Exit Code: 34
    -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------
    - 1 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 0 warning(s)
FATAL: Payload '{9FC6805B-9FD9-410A-A620-51D58644999D} Camera Profiles Installer_7.1_AdobeCameraRawProfile7.0All 6.2.10.0' information not found in Media_db.
What should I do? I've installed them before, but uninstalled them both. Now I am getting the following error. Thanks! Any help will be appreciated.

It is difficult to determine the point of failure from your install log summary.  I would recommend reviewing the install logs in their entirety to locate the exact error.  You can find details on how to accompplish this at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • Can I install CS6 for both Mac and PC with same license?

I have made my first installation to Mac and it's visible in my purchases. I tried to download CS6 to my PC but it didn't accept the same product serial number.
How can I install CS6 to PC also?

You can't. Standalone serial numbers are platform specific. Only Creative Cloud is cross-platform.

  • Trouble installing GoLive CS2 on Mac OS X

I just de-activated the program on my old Vaio which was crashing, and in trying to install to this new Mac (Version 10.5.6) I don't get an icon for installation. It took me an hour on the phone to find out Adobe doesn't support the program anymore and that I should go to Forums. Anyone else have this problem?

You need to look at the installation media and recognize that you have a Windows license if it was installed on your Vaio. That won't work on Mac. Welcome to Mac.
Directly ask Adobe Customer Service for upgrade/crossgrade options to Dreamweaver. (or you can install Windows on your new Mac so that you can install GoLive)

  • I can't install cs6 on my mac

I get the same error when installing CS6 which is: can't start the installer.

You'll want to contact Adobe for help on this.  I've installed Photoshop CS6 just fine on Mountain Lion.

  • Trouble installing CS6 from disc

    Hi,
I'm trying to install CS6 from disc onto my Windows Vista 64 bit laptop.  There doesn't seem to be a Setup.exe file?  Has anyone experience this problem and have a solution?
I've tried downloading CS6 from Adobe and enter my serial number from my box.  I get a message stating my serial number is invalid.  Why is that?
    Appreciate any help.
    Thank you.

According to the Adobe website, CS6 products do not support Vista
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-system-requirements.html#CS6_Design_ Standard_system_requirements
Win XP or 7 (or 8) only.
To run CS6, you'll have to upgrade your operating system or your computer.

  • Trouble installing Captivate trial on Mac OS

I tried installing the Captivate Trial, it seemed to work fine, but once all was installed it didn't work.  The icon of Adobe Captivate would bounce several times and then disappear or become still.  I checked to see if it was running in the background somewhere (cmd)+(opt)+(esc) and it was not running.  I then uninstalled the application and removed all software.  I then went back to the adobe site and re-downloaded the application (after signing in).  Again the same situation happened.  Can someone help me?  Is there another step of this installation that I am missing?  I currently already have CS6 premium suite installed (so I have been through this installation process before-unless it has changed)
    Thanks!

    Hello,
An update (7.0.1) to fix this issue on Mac OS 10.9 has been released.
You may download the update from - http://www.adobe.com/support/captivate/downloads.html

  • Trouble installing photoshop on new mac tower

I am trying to install photoshop CS2 onto a new Mac Tower (3.33 GHz, 6 core, intel xeon) running OSX Lion from the original install disc so that I can install my upgrade to CS4 before purchasing the upgrade to CS6.  I keep getting a message saying power computer no longer supported.  Does this mean that I can no longer upgrade from my original versions of photoshop?  Is there a way that I can install my original disc with this operating system?  Do I have to go back to an earlier version of OSX to achieve this?
Thank you in advance to anyone with some answers.
    mvanleur

You will no longer be able to install CS2 on your computer.  You are welcome to install CS4 and then enter the CS2 serial number when prompted to enter a qualifying serial number.  You can do the same thing with CS6 only this time you would use your CS4 serial number.
