Trouble installing elements 12 on mac maverick.

I have a MacBook Pro with 10.9.4 OS. Just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and I am having trouble installing. I put the disk in my computer and my Mac just spits it back out. I tired everything I can think of and nothing seems to get the disk to read. Has anyone else had any problems getting Elements to install? Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem or point me in the right direction of where to find the answer?

Trouble installing Elements 10

I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and have had trouble installing it on my PC (Windows 7)
The process and progress I encountered was as follows:
I uninstalled the trial version I had been testing;
I inserted Disc 1 and followed the prompts detailing location and serial number and un-ticking Load a Trial version;
After a period of downloading I received the message (via a pop up box) to insert Disc 2;
At this stage the disc tray did not open automatically (nor could I open it) and it appeared that there were files still being downloaded (I could see a frame with download activity);
Attempts to close the prompt box resulted in an incomplete installation;
After three attempts (uninstalling prior to each attempt) with the same thing happening I finally got a message that download had been completed.
This occurred notwithstanding that I did not have an opportunity to load Disc 2 & 3;
Whilst the program is working I am concerned that some of the features will not work as I never got to upload anything off Discs 2 & 3.
Can I check if the program has downloaded correctly and fully?
Should I uninstall and start again?
If I do and encounter the problem of not being able to load Disc 2 etc is there a solution?

Hello Im having trouble installing Photoshop CS6 and Illustator CS6. I am geting the following errow while trying to install in Creative Cloud Download Manager:

Thank you. I think I;ll take your advice and buy the product. HOwever like you I really hope Windows 8.1 will solve many of the problems/issues that have been experienced or talked about since its launch!!
I've selected PSE 11 as I wasnt 'sold' on PSE 12 having recently read the article in the Photoshop magazine. Although it scored 91% there were still aq couple of megatives. And only being a beginner I didnt want to run before I can walk!!

I'm trying to install Lightroom trail on Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9.4. To install Lightroom I have to install Creative Cloud. I got the installer here https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/lightroom
This installer always fails. I ran it as a normal user from Terminal and got this output, which shows an exception when the installer fails:

It looks like a permissions problem to me ("launch path not accessible") but it doesn't say which path it was trying to access. I checked various Adobe log files in ~/Library/Logs and there are errors in some of them. But it doesn't mean much to me.
I have a very "plain" Mac setup and have done nothing to file permissions, etc, in the /Applications folder. Now I've wasted several hours in the Adobe support pages and have made no progress. Any help appreciated.

Error when Installing Elements 4 Mac OS 10.9

Trying to install OEM Elements 4 on new iMac 27, OS 10.9. Repeatedly fails after copying files. This CD was supplied by Canon with 8800F scanner. I used the scanner with Windows Elements successfully for a year or two. Now have moved to Intel iMac and am trying to install the Mac version of Elements, which I would very much like to use. Can you please suggest possible answers.

Did you run the installer? By default it should be downloaded to your User folder.

Trouble installing .plugin files (Mac)

After hearing everyone rave over Twixtor for the past few years, I finally decided to give it a shot. I'm having trouble figuring out the installation though...
I hope the documentation isn't a predictor for the quality of this plugin. There is nothing here in the way of installation. I ran the installer, which when finished sent finder windows into focus. i see the (.)plugin files and a few pdf's, but they don't show up in my premiere effects. After searching a few sites, I copy/pasted the files to my "MediaCore" folder (/libraries.../cs6/mediacore) which did bring them into my effects within premiere. I spent a few minutes toying with some settings (a la a youtube tut) and rendered my work area. I was pretty aggrevated to find a watermark every few frames when it was done.
I contacted support, who in turn sent me the pdfs I already had (no install guide as far as I can see). I responded, asking for some detailed help and haven't gotten a response since this morning.
Am I missing some step? If I double click the .plugin, a termal window opens - is this how I need to install them?
Note: I found another post explaining the After Effects install process. For that I simply drug the plugins to the "plugin" folder under AE CS6 -> Plugins in my applications directory. The plugin works perfectly in AE (no watermark issues). I'd really like to get it working in Premeire though, just to save me a step in my workflow.

You can install this content manually by copying it to your hard drive when you want to access the material. Most content can be copied to a location of your choosing. Trouble Installing CS4 on Mac Book Pro with Lion 10.7.3

I'm having trouble with this. As instructed by Adobe I'm working with the original CD to install this to my laptop. It goes
up to installing Adobe Air, about half way through the whole installation and then stops. I have tried resetting the permissions- I'm installing in the root user account. This was what Adobe tech help had me do to successfully install Light Room 2 first and then
an update. The update was more compatible apparently with Lion.
Any ideas of what is going on? I wonder if this has something to do with Lion?

This happens to everyone, where you are skipping a step without noticing it.
Start again from the beginning..
Or maybe CS4 is not supported on Lion 10.7.3 >?

I have installation debris ranging from CS 2, 3, and 4 and still use an old Dreamweaver but PS went away when I updated system (why I went with PE).
Anyway, the installation installs an ALIAS in the app folder that did not work at all. No PE12 editor appeared.
I finally searched for "Editor.app" and found the actual application and added to the dock.
Very frustrating and time consuming.

Trouble installing Jdeveloper on mac os X

I have downloaded the .jar-file to install Jdeveloper 11g on my mac. I have also installed the latest JDK-kit, I think. It's a little difficult to understand, but I downloaded it from Appels site and when I look under the specified place, Java SE 6 64 is at the top.
I've tried to follow the installation instructions but get stuck all the time, it's a tad to technical for me since I'm not a hacker yet!
This is what the instruction says: "To streamline your installation process, the JDK you wish to use with the product should be the one you use to start the installer program. In that case, be sure the desired JDK is the first one in your system PATH, or reference it explicitly on the command line."
I don't know what first in your system path is, or how I reference it on the command line. Thats the first problem.
I don't know what it means when it says : "To launch the platform-independent installer, enter: java -jar jdevstudio11113install.jar." Enter where???
I've tried dubbel clicking on the install file and it seems to be working al right untill I come to the JDK Selection part. Here I've tried browsing and selecting every map that has something to do with java, but all I get is that is't not the right "home" or what ever. I've tried googling it and found the pathways people have used, but nothing works! I've found the "hat contains the child folder bin, which in turn contains java.exe." but I have no .exe-file, since it's a mac.. I've found a file that's called 1.6.0.jdk that's in a folder caller Java Virtual Machine, but it doesn't work.
I really need help!!

Yes, very many times. However, the instructions there are for after installing. But, since nothing else works, I tried that to and couldn't get it to work ether.. Not my day.
I can't enable the root user, because I have no Edit meny in my Directory Utility application, I have tried for over an hour with that. My menues doesn't have that button.
And, I also cant understand if I write in all the
cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/
su root
mkdir jre
cd jre
mkdir lib
cd lib
ln -s ../../../Classes/classes.jar rt.jar
at the same time, or if I hit the return key for every line break..
I'm feeling quite stupid now..

So after clicking Open on the Elements 11 zip file with winzip, it directed me to open the install file. After processing to 100%, it then asked me what program do you want to use to open the xml install file? What program do I use? The default window showed notepad...that just doesn't seem right to me.

Once you have unzipped it,please double click on Setup.exe inside Setup>PhotoshopElements folder.

I tried installing Adobe Elements on my laptop but apparently my computer timed out during the install (I had walked away). When I checked on it an error message had shown up. It suggested I restart my computer. Well I did and nothing happend. I couldn't even find the program install anywhere on my system. I tried to do the install again but now my computer won't even read the disk. I insert the disk and I can hear it running for a second and then it stops and nothing happens. PLEASE HELP!!!

Create a folder on your desktop, copy the content of the DVD to the folder and try installing from desktop. In case of any issue download Elements 11 from the link: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=us and try installing again.
