Trouble installing lightroom 4 on vista

Hi,
I have tried installing the trial version of Lightroon 4 in hope to purchase it. I can see the folder in my downloads, but when I click to run the file, nothing happens ( in vista- a small circle appears to show that its on work process- then it stops). I later managed to download and istall lightroom 3-except that its not good for me because I have the canon mark III.
Any other alternative of purchasing lightroom 4?
Many thanks,
T.

Sir, I think you are right with your first link. It needed to be "unblocked". Its installing now. Fingers crossed- and now I can see by installing it that its the 4.4 version.

  • Trouble installing lightroom

Had trouble installing lightroom 2 and 3 and now having problems installing lightroom 4.
It is a common problem for a lot of Adobe products, something with the downloader.
When you start to install it stops and say there isn't enough room or some stupid stuff.
    HELP PLEASE

It isn't a money issue. It is a let your customers know issue.  I have used lightroom for a long time and have created a catalog system for thousands of photos.  Now I have to start all over again with a new system.  I should not have to search forums to find that I need to upgrade my computers, it should be included on any upgrade page for the software not hidden is a separate link.  The majority of pc are still running xp and for good reasons.  I guess when you get so big you forget how important loyalty is.  I was told for years that I would regret using adobe and now I understand why.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Trouble installing Lightroom 2

    Hello,
I'm having trouble installing my copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2. I had to reboot my mac and therefore need to re-install this software. However,
it gets to a stage in the installation process where is says it failed and that I need to contact the product manufacturer.
I'm using an Imac with the most recent Mountain Lion update.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please download and install Photoshop Lightroom 2.7 from https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=113&platform=Macintosh.

  • Has anyone had trouble installing Lightroom 2 on MAC version 10.8.5?

I'm trying to re-install Lightroom 2 on my MAC but it doesn't show up anywhere in the applications.  The adobe help desk said that it may or may not work due to the version.  Does anyone know anything about it or how to fix it so I can install it?

How far do you get through the installer?  If I remember rightly, LR2 was released before application signing was added to the OS.
Try skipping the cd and going straight to 2.7 for a start

  • Trouble installing iTunes to Windows Vista PC

When trying to install iTunes 11 to my Windows Vista PC, I get stuck in a continuous loop of clicking to install and accepting the terms of service. Nothing ever installs, it just checks for software and asks me to confirm the terms of service over and over. Any ideas what's going on?

    Hey there,
Take no offense in making a new topic. It just helps me keep track of everyone's issues individually. Otherwise, it gets confusing and everyone else gets confused as well.
Ok, MY thought is on Norton. Norton is famous, and not in a good way, for silently blocking iTunes. It has lead to many headaches for many folks.
So, lets try something. Turn Off Norton and try launching iTunes and see if it will come up. Then if that works, I can walk you thru the steps of Configuring Norton to allow iTunes to work alongside. For some reason, Norton is seeing iTunes as malicious, but it is not even prompting the user to block or not. Kinda wierd...I think its a conspiracy
So Post back and keep me updated.

  • Trouble installing latest updates on Vista

I received a notification of updates for PPro and other components of production premium. After downloading, the install would not complete. The status bar would get about one third the way complete, then start over at the beginning. This cycle will go on endlessly. I am trying to install on a Vista based PC.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Jeff in Florida

I have had no descernible problems with Vista. I have it on both a desktop and notebook. I run Adobe Production Premium on both, although I am not a professional in the vid production business. All apps seem to work fine including video, animation, effects as well as standard office apps, web, and others. Once I turned off the UAC everything worked fine. I also have 3 computers with XP, but the computers are Pentium 4 vintage. My newer computers are Core 2 duo types, so comparison of pros/cons of the OS is problematic. I really have not had any problems on the Vista machines with hanging or other issues. 2Gig of RAM in each of the newer machines which I will be upgrading to 4. Vista seems to have quite a bit of security features and I wonder if the inability to install the updates is related to this security issue.
Again, help from those using Vista and experienced the same is welcomed.
    Thanks everyone for your help.
    Jeff

  • Trouble installing Lightroom CC (2015) download

On my Windows 7 computer I downloaded Lightroom CC (2015) on Creative Cloud.  It shows-up in my "Installed Apps" list along with Photoshop CC (2014).  Photo works just fine.  Lightroom does not.  In my Start Programs it is listed as "Adobe Lightroom" not "Adobe Lightroom CC 2015."  Clicking on it does not start the Lightroom program.  I have uninstalled and re-downloaded 3 times -- no change.  Can anyone help??? ~ Brian.

Thanks for your reply.  I have actually just solved the problem.
Start the Creative Cloud download program again, click the gear icon in top right corner, choose Preferences, click the blue Sign Out icon.  Then input your User Name and Password again to log back in.  Click on the “Lightroom CC 2015” app in your list.  Lightroom will start properly and you can select your catalogue.  Hope this helps.  ~ Brian.

  • Trouble installing Lightroom on new Mac

I just bought a new computer and decided to start fresh, rather than migrate my old system over (I was having some issues and it seemed like an ideal time to do this).
My old computer was purchased used, and came with Lightroom 3.x installed. I bought an upgrade to LR 4 for $79 right when it came out.
I went into my Adobe account and downloaded LR 4. When I put the serial number in, it told me that it's an upgrade serial (which is correct), and I need to enter the old serial. Unfortunately, I don't have it written down and it's not in my Adobe account, because LR 3.x came installed on the computer I bought.
What can I do? Is there a way to retrieve the serial from LR on the old computer?

Probably easier to return the upgrade and buy the full version, if you need to do that.  Adobe are pretty good about refunds http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/return-cancel-exchange-order-north-ameri ca.html
