  • Has anyone had trouble installing Lightroom 2 on MAC version 10.8.5?

I'm trying to re-install Lightroom 2 on my MAC but it doesn't show up anywhere in the applications.  The adobe help desk said that it may or may not work due to the version.  Does anyone know anything about it or how to fix it so I can install it?

How far do you get through the installer?  If I remember rightly, LR2 was released before application signing was added to the OS.
Try skipping the cd and going straight to 2.7 for a start

  • Trouble installing Lightroom 4 to Mac OSX 10.6.3

I just upgraded to OSX 10.6.3 and lightroom 4 still isn't installing. I keep getting a message saying "The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error-1.) Couldn't open 'Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.pkg'."  I noticed when I go to my order and click download it brings me to a page with 3 options. Mac/Win, English, Windows, Multiple Languages, and Mac, Multiple Languages. The first option, Mac/Win, English has a serial number assigned to it and the other two do not, but when I go to download the first option with the serial number says not applicable next to it. The other two are available for download, but don't have a serial number next to them, Maybe that's part of the problem? I don't know what to do! Please help! Thanks!

  • Trouble installing Lightroom on new Mac

I just bought a new computer and decided to start fresh, rather than migrate my old system over (I was having some issues and it seemed like an ideal time to do this).
My old computer was purchased used, and came with Lightroom 3.x installed. I bought an upgrade to LR 4 for $79 right when it came out.
I went into my Adobe account and downloaded LR 4. When I put the serial number in, it told me that it's an upgrade serial (which is correct), and I need to enter the old serial. Unfortunately, I don't have it written down and it's not in my Adobe account, because LR 3.x came installed on the computer I bought.
What can I do? Is there a way to retrieve the serial from LR on the old computer?

Probably easier to return the upgrade and buy the full version, if you need to do that.  Adobe are pretty good about refunds http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/return-cancel-exchange-order-north-ameri ca.html

  • Trouble installing CS2 onto new Mac Air

Just bought a brand new Mac Book Air and a USB super drive. When I try to install my Photoshop CS2 (a true, purchased version, with serial number, not bootleg or anything) I'm getting a message that says Install Error. Not sure why it won't work. Any advice?

I tried. Didn't work. Still telling me that it cannot do it because the PPC is no longer compatible with Maverick OS. I have literally been sitting here in tears for the past six hours trying to find a solution. I am so so so sad and frustrated and of course can't talk to a real person from Adobe. I CANNOT afford to go drop another $1,500-$3,000 on Photoshop and am NOT interested in doing the Creative Cloud. I feel sad and stuck. Have been a devoted Adobe Photoshop user for 15 years now and have learned as much as I can about the programs, so it makes me physically ill to think about switching to something else. But I just can't seem to find a solution. I had NO idea this would be a problem. You'd think when you pay $800+ (what I paid for original program) that you'd be able to always use it. I'm so sick over this and now feel like this new laptop is worthless to me (I'm a photographer). So sad your fix didn't work... had my fingers crossed for the whole hour and a half it took to download! Thank you for trying. (I had never worried about updating because my program worked flawlessly so I never felt the need to change it... until my laptop died and I was forced into this newest OS. Now I'm SCREWED.)

  • Trouble installing CS4 onto Intel Mac

Good day to all, I have a problem.
I have an Intel Imac with OD 10.4.11 and am unable to install CS4 Design Premium. I have all external devices unpluged. The progress bar only gets this far (please see below) and then stops moving for hours. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks for the info. Previous attempts were all done w/o any apps running, and then in safe boot config just to waste some more time. Here's the log entry:

  • Trouble installing CS6 on my mac

Im having trouble installing CS6 onto my mac. I have tried each way a few times and it isnt downloading, it might get to half way and then it stops. Any ideas?

What Mac? What version of OSX? What are the specific errors. And clarify whether you actualyl alrteady have successfully downloaded and get stuck on installing or if it's the otehr way around. That false intermingling of terminology is really not helping.

  • Trouble installing lightroom

Had trouble installing lightroom 2 and 3 and now having problems installing lightroom 4.
It is a common problem for a lot of Adobe products, something with the downloader.
When you start to install it stops and say there isn't enough room or some stupid stuff.
    HELP PLEASE

It isn't a money issue. It is a let your customers know issue.  I have used lightroom for a long time and have created a catalog system for thousands of photos.  Now I have to start all over again with a new system.  I should not have to search forums to find that I need to upgrade my computers, it should be included on any upgrade page for the software not hidden is a separate link.  The majority of pc are still running xp and for good reasons.  I guess when you get so big you forget how important loyalty is.  I was told for years that I would regret using adobe and now I understand why.
    Thanks for your help.

I've just installed Firefox onto my Mac and I'm finding that I can't eject the disk from my desktop. I've moved Firefox into the Applications and tried going to "File" and ejecting from there, but I get the message that "Firefox couldn't eject because Firefox was using it."
I have also tried shutting down everything, replacing Firefox in the applications and clicking on the icon with a white circle and cross, but I get the message "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time."
I'm basically stuck. Any help would be appreciated, please.
