Trouble installing Photoshop CC

I just subscribed to CC and am having trouble downloading Photoshop. It says that my current version (CS5) is open and I need to close it before finalizing the install. However, IT IS NOT OPEN! I have tried restarting the computer and that doesn't help. Same problem trying to install Bridge.

It is difficult to determine the point of failure from your install log summary. I would recommend reviewing the install logs in their entirety to locate the exact error. I'm having trouble installing photoshop cc through the creative cloud app. My PC is windows 8, I'm sure that's not a problem, right? It takes a long time to move up every percent and then after 10% it says that it failed to install nothing else. Another time it just said error. I need help please! I need this program ASAP! If you have a serial number, you simply need to enter it into the proper fields.
Since you don't say what version of Lightroom, and what sections are "blocked off", let me guess that you have Lightroom CC, and you need to enter the serial number to turn it into Lightroom 6. And if that's not the right assumption, then please give us the details.

Trouble Installing Photoshop 5.5

I am having trouble installing Photoshop 5.5 on my PowerPC. I have the upgrade disk, and the required Photoshop 3.0 disk (however, it's in Windows format). It asks for evidence of a previous version, such as a disk. The screen also says that if necessary, I can eject the 5.5 disk in order to insert the disk, but it will not let me, saying that it can't eject because the disk is in use! Thus, I cannot install PS 5.5 because I need the 3.0 disk, which I can't put in! Please help!

Hi, Abby. I've never heard of anyone updating a Windows version of Photoshop using a Macintosh updater, and it would be a big surprise to me if that were possible. The Mac updater expects to find a previous Mac version of PS installed on the Mac, complete with a proper Mac serial number. Finding nothing of the kind, it will probably never be willing to do anything for you, even if you manage to get past the chicken-and-egg problem described in your post. In short, I suspect your Windows version of Photoshop can only be updated after you install it on a Windows machine, and then only to a higher version of PS for Windows.
If you could get Adobe to swap your Windows PS 3 disc for a Mac PS 3, 4 or 5 disc, then install the Mac version, and then run the Mac PS 5.5 updater, I think you'd be in business. But I doubt that Adobe will be interested in doing that.

I could really use Customer Service help. I received Photoshop Elements as a gift for Christmas...I waiting until i got a new laptop so that I could use that as i was having trouble with older computer. However, I am having trouble installing the software...I swear the dvd added the programs, and I saw them in files explorer i think, but then I cannot find or I was not even able to add the serial number to my knowledge, because it was blank...no keystrokes were shown...and i don't see the program anywhere...Could I have down something wrong and it is somewhere in the cloud?

the correct number... I think I clicked on a learning tutorial or browsed
Adobe's website to learn more, but got caught up in all the details.
I never uninstalled virus protection to run it because I thought that it
would ask. I'll try again tomorrow I am frustrated. Thank you for your
patience. I appreciate it totally. It's really sad cause I really wanted to
create. I have wanted this for a very long time and I can't believe how
difficult this has been. It would be really nice to know what is really
wrong. I must not be seeing something or I've done something.

Yes, your fonts are locked. This is a known issue with different older versions of Adobe products if they are mixed. You need to take ownership and set their permissions to full access. There is some article on it in the knowledge base, but you might just as well do a web search on a more generic level about such procedures. Hi all, hopefully someone can help me with a problem I'm having installing photoshop elements 12 on my vista pc. Basically I have tried downloading the trial via the download assistant but the program will not load or show any signs of working after I download it. I have also attempted to directly download the trial from Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools but file 1 only seems to download a 1.5mb file that will not open (similar to the download assistant). File 2 will download but upon unpacking it, the installer program in the download will not respond.
I have tried turning all of my antivirus off, and have been downloading with firefox as opposed to internet explorer. I have not had any error messages pop up as no programs or downloads I have tried even seem to load up.
Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

My name is Michael and I work for the U.S. Navy on board the USS Emory S Land. My command bought my shop a new computer recently that is used strictly for desktop publishing and video editing projects. This means it has NO internet connectivity. I tried installing Photoshop CS2 on it with a valid serial number and I get an error message: "Setup could not find a qualifying product. You may install a qualifying version of Adobe Photoshop and run setup, or contact Adobe Cumstomer Service." Calling customer service is of no use, they won't help. Can someone please help me? Doesn't matter if you got it on disk or downloaded.
You've purchased a serial number and, in your case, got a disc and box as added extras.
You can always download the trial version from the Adobe website with any browser and activate that with your serial number.
