Trouble Installing PPCS4 to Vista 32 bit

I realized that PPCS5 requiers a 64 bit operating system, and I have a 32 bit operating system, so I installed the free 30 day trial version of PPCS4 onto my Vista 32 bit operating system.
I extracted the files after I downloaded them I extracted from .zip using WinRar to I extracted them to the directory "C:/Downloads/".
Then I extracted the .rar that contains the auto installer using WinRar to extract to the directory "C:/Downloads/Adobe Premier Pro CS4/".
Then I ran the auto installer. It says it is called "Setup.exe"
The auto installer said:
"Premier Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4, 32 bit support for CS5 installer: initializing
Checking system profile".
Then a few minutes later the auto installer said:
"Premier Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4, 32 bit support for CS5 - setup error
Setup Error
Setup has encountered an error and can not continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance."

Is this not a full installer and requieres the CS5 installer too? But the CS5 installer for PPCS4 is for 64 bit operating systems and I have a 32 bit operating system?
What do I do?

Trouble installing PSE9 via Vista

Newbie here.I am not overly technical and need help installing PS Elements software. My O/S is Windows Vista Home Premium w/ service pack 2; Quad Core processor; 8GB ram; 64 bit O/S .
I just purchased PS Elements/Premiere 9. Everytime I try to load the software (via disc) the autoplay feature does not give me an an option to run the software. I get options to open photos via Microsoft software or open folder to view files in Windows
Explorer. I have tried the following:
Opened in Windows Explorer; opened the file(s), viewed various folders, don't see an executable file to run or install the program
Gone into the into the Control Panel; Autoplay; clicked "use autoplay for all media and devices" (even tried to unclick this feature); tried to load software numerous times with no change
In Control Panel; Under software and games drop down menu; set to "Install or run program"
Uninstalled other photo software
At wits end here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure you are using windows disk 1 and not the Mac OS version.
Inset the disc and then click the Windows Start button and go to Computer.
Right click on the CD/DVD drive where you see the PSE/PRE Icon.
Select Open.
The application file is called auto-play. Double click it to start installation. It should install in Program Files (x86)

Trouble installing ppcs4

hey i recently had ppcs4 on my system. sony vaio vgn fw250. running vista 64 w a core 2 duo processor. with a previous problem i was having i uninstalled to try and reinstall it. but now when it gets to the checking system profile part which is the very beginning of the install, it locks up and doesnt go any further when the status bar gets almost to the end. i am very concerned and im clueless as to how to fix this problem.,

Wow, these are some weird behaviors. I have no answer.
Are you installing from discs, or from download? There can be some differences.
Some have had luck doing installs, by copying the installation discs to the system, and installing from there.
As mentioned, most of us are in the dark, as our Adobe programs just install and we begin using them. Most of the "tips" come from other posts, where things did not go so well for others.
Good luck, and have you done a major AV and spyware sweep of your system? Also, for installation, turn all of that stuff OFF - all of it.

Trouble installing Photoshop CC 64 bit windows 8 - internal file signature incorrect

I had a problem and fixed it, and thought I'd post in case others have the problem. I have a new Win 8 machine. I subscribed to CC (LR+PS), but couldn't install PS 64 bit. Well, when I installed, I got a message it installed ok but had a problem. Adobe showed a log file I could access, but I couldn't access it, and I didn't want to look at a log file anyway. I was hoping for an answer in English. I tried to open PS 64 and got this message: "internal file signature is incorrect". I googled the message, and the majority opinion was to try and reinstall. Well, I had already tried that and failed. Then I got an idea I wish I had had before. When you get a new PC, first thing to do is update all the drivers, etc, and then go to Windows update. There were many Windows update. My PC is HP, so I went into it's support center, and clicked the button to update drivers, etc. There were a lot of updates, including the bios. After restarting the computer, the install of PS 64 worked, but then I got the other error I posted today (and fixed). Hope these posts help some poor souls.

Trouble installing itunes on Vista

When i try to in stall itunes i get the following error
The installation package could not be open. Verify that the package exist and that you can access ot or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.
bought two of the same computers exactly alike i could install itunes to one and not this one. anyone can help me out?

"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\program files\common files\apple\coreFP. The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system admin."
That sort of message is also consistent with disk/file damage, k.
Let's try running a disk check over the C drive. There's Vista instructions in the following document.

Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. You'll probably need to schedule the scan to run on restart. The disk check should take quite a while to run. If it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the disk check find/repair any damage? If so, are you able to install iTunes now?

The indicator actually goes to 100% at once and then it opens window where I have to input ORACLE_HOME again.

/opt/oracle/9.2.0/inventory/filemap/./files.map (No such file or directory)
Unable to read the list of homes from the inventory.
Note that Installtion is being made from HDD and I also changed JRE used bu Oracle installer to my own jre on the machine since Oracle jre cannot launch oracle installer on this machine at all.
JRE path settings can be changed in Disk1/install/linux/oraparam.ini file in the following string

Try to install iTunes on Vista 64 bit on a clean install but it refuses to install

I download the 64 bit version for install on my PC, but during install i noticed it was being installed to Program files (x86) which confused me. so I changed it to Program files in the setup preferences and proceeded to install. It gets half way through installing and gives up. Am I to guess that iTunes 64 is not really 64 bit at all but a psuedo to give it that impression. If it is going to install into a 32 bit directory then I have no recourse but to assume the latter.
Any ideas how I can get this to install on my Windows Vista 64 bit. Either way it comes up with scripting errors every time I try now. What is needed is an apple cleaner to get rid of elements of the old installs hidden in places like Appdata and the registry as well as hidden MSI scripts which stop subsequent installs.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 8007054F, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

Installing, and uninstalling, applications never touches or removes the data.
Clean out and uninstall all the apple programs and software thru Programs and manually.
Might want to use Revo and CCleaner
I always use manual standalone installers (and keep a couple backup versions)
itunes 10.5 may affect iTunes media playlists, not sure, depends on what you have.
A search of these forums will show some threads.
I'd clean up vista, you need SP2 or later, and specific error message?
I wonder as you arenot the first with a dell if maybe the OS or included software.
Security programs like Norton and older versions of Kaspersky have been implicated.
Also settings in IE that affect pop-ups and plug-ins.

i recently got a IBM thinkpad with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
we have a HP Laserjet 3015 thats shared on windows xp profesional computer. i am having trouble installing it on my comuter. if i connect the printer to my computer via USB, windows finds the drivers and it works.
The problem is when ever i try and insatll it over the network it does not work. i can search and find which computer it is attached to and see it in the shared printer list, but when i ever i try to connect to it says connecting>>searching windows update>>cant find drivers. it gives me the option of searching for the drivers to install. i have downloaded the drivers thats on the HP site but they dont help. when ever i select them in the manual it comes with an error saying driver not found then gives u the option of installing it your self. when u select the driver it says windows can not locate a suitable driver.
how can i get around this ??

Try the following: On the Windows 7 computer go to the Devices and Printers folder, Add a Printer, Local Printer, Create a new port, Local port, Next, \\xpcomputername\lj3015 (where you put in the actual share name of the computer and printer), OK, Windows Update (and wait for the list to repopulate), HP Laserjet 3015 PCL5, Next, Next.

You don't even need to do that. As downloading the drivers from within Boot Camp Assistant can be unreliable, it is better to get the package directly from here:

Copy the .zip file to a USB flash drive or burn it to a DVD in OS X. Install Windows as normal, insert the flash drive/DVD in Windows, copy the .zip file to the hard drive, extract it, then run the setup executable.

Trouble installing CS4 in Windows 7 64-bit

Has anybody else had trouble installing CS4 into Windows 7 Pro 64-bit? I had this suite installed in XP (32-bit) and it worked just fine, but it will not install on my new computer. The first time I tried, it got partway in (past the serial number), and then everything locked up. I had to restart the machine twice just to make it let go of the CD!
Someone on a forum suggested copying the disks to the hard drive and installing from there, but this did not work any better, the installation simply fails immediately, and I get an error code 1605. I tried it with the firewall off, and with anti-virus disabled, and I never leave User Account Control enabled. What is going on?

Trouble installing latest updates on Vista

I received a notification of updates for PPro and other components of production premium. After downloading, the install would not complete. The status bar would get about one third the way complete, then start over at the beginning. This cycle will go on endlessly. I am trying to install on a Vista based PC.
Any suggestions?

I have had no descernible problems with Vista. I have it on both a desktop and notebook. I run Adobe Production Premium on both, although I am not a professional in the vid production business. All apps seem to work fine including video, animation, effects as well as standard office apps, web, and others. Once I turned off the UAC everything worked fine. I also have 3 computers with XP, but the computers are Pentium 4 vintage. My newer computers are Core 2 duo types, so comparison of pros/cons of the OS is problematic. I really have not had any problems on the Vista machines with hanging or other issues. 2Gig of RAM in each of the newer machines which I will be upgrading to 4. Vista seems to have quite a bit of security features and I wonder if the inability to install the updates is related to this security issue.
Again, help from those using Vista and experienced the same is welcomed.

Same message about iPod...
Installed a driver I found info about here in Discussions-usbaapl.sys-Uninstalled QuickTIme and all iTunes files and tried installing again but still no chance, same message
I've updated WIndows etc...
Can the issue be that I don't have an iTunes account? DO I need one to synch my gmail and contacts with my address book on my PC? I don't think so.
Really frustrating.

go through each step of the general installation troubleshooting completely then restart your computer and try to install it again. It worked for me on the first try so hopefully this helps!

I have CS6 installed on Wiindows Vista 64x bit. Everyyhing is fine apart from inaccurate metadata. v

I have CS6 installed on Windows Vista 64x bit. Everything is fine except for some inaccurate metadata. Camera raw v 6.7 is displayed instead of the latest installed ver 7.1. Also lens serial numbers are not shown or are missing. In lens specification f/0 shows up which of course is wrong.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Just to be sure, try a short procedure...
1. Open a raw file into Camera Raw.
2. From the fly-out menu select Camera Raw Defaults.
3. Convert the image, opening into Photoshop.
4. Check File - File Info. Do you see the problem there?
5. File - Save As a JPEG.
6. Check Properties of the file, ensure it's the one you just saved by looking at the date, and see if you see the problem there.
