Trouble installing the Technical Communications 3.0 Trial

I am getting the following message when trying to install the Technical Communications Suite 3.0 trial download:
Please close all of the following applications to continue:
·         RSO3MiddleTierService.exe
·         RSO3Server.exe
I am stopped at this point and nothing is installed.
I currently have a licensed copy of the Tech Com Suite 2.0 installed and am waiting the 3.0 version to be shipped. The Trial copy is just a temporary fix.

In order to continue installation all you have to do is open the Windows Task Manager -> go to the 'Processes' tab -> Select the process RSO3MiddleTierService.exe -> click on 'End Process'. Similarly for RSO3Server.exe
Then you can resume the installation process.

    Signed up for the Technical Communications Suite Subscription yesterday. Now when I launch FrameMaker, I get a dialog box saying I either have to use it as a trial version (for 30 days) or buy it. If I click buy it prompts for a serial number.
    On installation when I tried to access my adobe account in the dialog box that appeared. It said I didn't have an internet connection. My internet was working fine and I got the same message even once I launched my browser.

    Did you install using an account with admin privileges? Do you have any Group or other security policies on machine that may restrict new software installs?
    For installation issues, it's best to contact customer support.

    What turns the trial into the live software is signing in. If you sign in with the Adobe ID that has the subscription, the trial becomes live. First check your account on Adobe.com to make sure that the subscription is live.

    Not sure what CCS has that you’re referring to, but TCS5 is out and can be installed via subscription or downloaded installer.

    What happens? When i click on the ''AdobePatchInstaller'' i get this message, ''Update Failed, Updates could not be applied. This patch is not applicable for you. Please check for updates from the Help menu in your product to see a list of latest updates available. If the problem persists, contact customer support for further assistance.
    Any error messages? No
    Did you have previous versions of the software on your system? No
    Is the trouble with the download or the installation of the software? I am not sure but i think it may be the download. It shows that the download was complete and icon appears on the desktop.                                                                                I plan to buy the ''Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium'' but i wanted to try it first via the free trials, especially Photoshop and Illustrator. So please let me know what i need to do.

    Go here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1582, download the update file and run it. Ideally, start up in Safe Mode when you do the update.

    It will not install your machine is close to 7 years old and the newest Flash Player will not install on that old of an Operating System.
    If you have flash on there already then thats probably the best your going to get.
    You can Google and see what is the latest version for your Operating System.

    To install the certificate, you only have to scan the provided QR code. The code appears when you click the “Install the certificate” link that you see after you generate an application. Press the magnifying glass at the bottom of the mobile phone to launch
    Bing search, and then press the eye icon that appears at the bottom of the screen. Point the phone’s camera at the QR code, and the phone will automatically scan it.
    Important: Once installed, the phone will take you back to the original screen with a button that says “Install Certificate”. There is no feedback that communicates the success or failure of the installation procedure.
    After this, you can install your app by scanning the provided QR code, by following the same procedure used to install the certificate.

    Please download Acrobat directly from the links on this page: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X.
    Then, make sure you're logged in as an administrator and disable any anti-virus software before you install.

  • Moving from Frame 7.1 and WebWorks to the Technical Communication Suite

    My doc team currently uses Frame 7.1, Acrobat 7.0 Standard,
    and WebWorks ePublisher Pro 9.1 to generate our printed docs and
    online help. Now we are looking at the Adobe Technical
    Communication Suite to do it all. However we have some concerns
    about moving everyone over and the impact it could have on our
    existing docs, templates, and workflow.
    Has anyone had a similar situation and switched to ATCS?
    What issues did you encounter?
    Can Frame 7.1 and ATCS live together on the same computer?
    Does a ATCS install mess up WebWorks ePublisher Pro 9.1?
    Can you use source files from Frame 8 in ePublisher Pro 9.1?

    I went from FM7.1 and WWP to TCS. Not a great result.
    I use structured FM with an EDD. FM and WWP always produced
    the end product. It just worked!
    Are you using structured FM. If so, then think again about
    the move. TCS does not support the structured elements. Elements
    such as xrefs, index and glossary do not come across to RH.
    The fact that TCS does not support structured FM wasn't
    visible until after I made the move. I hear structured FM support
    will be in the next version release. But I can't find out when that
    will be.
    Until then, Adobe support suggest the following work around -
    create read/write rules, but they are not very forthcoming on how I
    should implement them with my EDD. If anyone can help with this, I
    would certainly appreciate it.
    However, if you are not using structured FM, then TCS seems
    to work like a dream. A definate plus for single sourcing. Works
    really well with RH7.

    Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

    To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
    Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

    And extracted them.
    Starting the Setup Wizard I can select the directory and set the master password. After it has started to copy files the setup process terminates with the log entry:

    Ich bekomme immer die obige Fehlermeldung. Ich habe aber alles
    gemacht, wie es in der sdn.comunity beschrieben ist. Die aktuelle
    Trial Version heruntergeladen, mit WinRar entzippt. Dennoch immer
    wieder die obige Meldung. Installiere wollte ich auf meine externe
    Festplatte (über 250 GB Platz). Was mache ich nur falsch. Ich
    haben Windows XP und SP2. Weiss jemand Rat? Oder har Hilfe? Ich

    I am having trouble installing my HP 2540 printer. It used to work for a while, but after some trouble with printing wireless I decided to reinstall the drivers. However, now the drivers want install anymore.
    The network printer is found, but the installation doesn't get further than this screen: (it's in dutch, but it says "installing network printer")
    After some minutes I get the following screen:
    I also tried installing with USB. But it immediatly says that there is some problem and the hardware isn't recognised (I tried all ports).
    The laptop I'm using is a MSI with Windows 8
    I had no problems installing the printer on another laptop with Windows 7.
