Trouble launching Illustrator

Just purchased CC today. Every time I try to launch Illustrator, I get an error from Windows that says "windows detected an error and will close the program. It will let me know if it finds a solution". I don't know what's wrong. I have all required system requirements. I'm not a hardware tech...

You may try this:
1) Uninstall and run the Cleaner Tool;

2) Restart the Creative Cloud application by quitting and relaunching it;
3) Download and install again.

Trouble launching Illustrator CC files from Adobe Bridge

Double clicking in Bridge does not work after a few sucessful "opens". Need to restart Ai CC to resolve. Works ok for a few opens then reverts back.
Just started happening.

No, you either are trying to copy from a disk that does not allow you to copy or you don't have the correct admin permission for read write in Finder.
Check the folder or disk with cmd + i (get info) and at the bottom check if you have the correct read and write permissions
But the easiest way to copy to a folder on your system is opening the folder panel in Bridge with the wanted destination folder in view and drag and drop (with option pressed for copy if you are on the same disk) the file from the content panel to that folder.

I have a subscription to Adobe CC but none of these work on this so I was on with Adobe for 5 hours trying to install and launch Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Muse, and Acrobat Pro from CS6. Well, InDesign is the only one that works and I have a ton of work due! I don't have a serial number for Photoshop or Illustrator except for CS3, and they don't work. InDesign gave me no problems. Illustrator says it can't work on this machine. Photoshop needs a serial number. I'm stumped and getting anxious and freaked out. Can anyone help? Adobe Chat is down right now.

if you have a cc subscription, close ps > sign out and then back in to your cc desktop > open ps.

Apple says Java 6 is very insecure and not to use it. I have the latest Java installed. Why won't Illustrator launch? What else can I do?

Uninstalling or reinstalling the iTunes application won't affect your music (data) -- but it's always a good idea to have a backup!

Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with the iTunes Store after updating to iOS 7.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the iTunes Store, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Did you see any error messages during download or install?
If yes, you may need to sign out of your Cloud account so you may UN-install and then RE-install
If no... the program downloaded and installed with no error messages, you might want to ask in that forum

Error message when launching Illustrator CS5

IT deptartment just upgraded my PC to the Adobe Design Standard CS5. Whoohoo! I was working in Illustrator 9. Lots of new stuff to learn.
When I launch Illustrator or double-click on a document worked on earlier in the day, I'm getting an error message dialog box: "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert disk into drive D:"
The dialog box offers the choices of cancel, try again, or continue. No matter which option I try, the dialog box will not close for at least 4-5 attempts. Sometimes the "X" in the upper right corner of the dialog box will close it -- that takes 4 or 5 attempts also. Illustrator will be open, but at the back of my screen.
Any reccomendations for a cure?

Your IT department bunked up and didn't install correctly. It is looking for some files to finish the install. Have them try this again or insert the instal ldisk yourself and let it finish.

You will need to uninstall, run the Cleaner tool and reinstall you adobe applications. Adobe apps don't take kindly to inplace updates of the OS on Macs.

Font Capture Error on launching Illustrator CS3

When i try to launch Illustrator CS i always get this error and then the program crashes.
FONT CAPTURE:ILLUSTRATOR.EXE - FATAL APPLICATION EXIT
The specified module could not be found. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS3\Client\3.0.0\VersionCue.DLL
i have tried reinstalling many times but i always get this error. Im running Win Vista Ultimate. Can anyone please help as its a pain not being able to run Illustrator. The other program in the suite eg Photoshop and Indesign all work perfectly and the error is just with Illustrator.

as post #9 said, i am pretty sure you just manually create the new folders in the locations, give them the suggested names, and the OS will do the rest but i did mine through Terminal...
as a final redundant note, u probably don't want to install the legacy JAVA 6 on the Apple link because it's old, go to https://www.java.com/en/download/mac_download.jsp?locale=en and install the latest version of JAVA (and be sure to update it in the future in case apple/adobe software updates don't find it for u)

Thanks for responding, I downloaded the Creative Cloud Installer which is sitting under Devices in my Finder and then installed the Ai app which is appearing under Applications in the finder. I notice that in the launch tutorial there is the Adobe Creative Cloud sitting in the Apps folder above Ai - I don't have this. Hmm what to do?

Hi, I am having trouble sending Illustrator CC PDF's to my printers. I see them perfectly when I open it on my screen but they are getting a muddled view. How can I fix this - I have an urgent job to send out!

Color management (or more to the point lack of same) plus any number of other issues such as we explain them every day here:

Anyway, without seeing your files, screenshots, info about your color management and the printer's requirements this can only end up in longwinded, unproductive threads. The proper thing to do would be to provide all the necessary info and on top of it the polite thing to do would be to do some basic reading up on color management (and possibly be scared out of your wits).
