    Hi Matt,
Please try the following steps and advise if you were able to resolve the concern or not.
    1) Navigate to Utilities > Adobe Installer and check for Adobe Creative Cloud Uninstaller. If you are able to find the uninstaller, please click on it and uninstall the product.
    2) Navigate back to Utilities and check if you are able to find any folder for Creative Cloud Desktop application or Adobe Application Manager. If yes, please remove them.
    3) Now, Navigate to /Library/Application Support/Adobe and rename the Adobe Application manager folder to _old and OOBE to OOBE_Old.
    4) It seems like that you are on 10.10. If yes, please make sure that the permissions are all correct on the machine.
Post doing the above steps, please try the installation procedure again and advise.

  • Trouble updating Application Manager so I can update to Acrobat XI

I've tried a number of times to download Acrobat XI. Before it will download, Application Manager opens, but an updater then starts running. About 75% of the way through I get this error message:
"Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure. The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit."
That's nuts! I'm doing it right from the Adobe site. I've tried rebooting and starting over, but I get the same message. How do I get past this to update the Application Manaager so I can update my software?

    Hi Sharon,
My Adobe Tech support guy helped me find the Adobe Application Manager download file on my computer. We simply ran it again from the download and it worked fine this time. Something wrong with the previous installation of AAM on my PC-based system (windows 7). I'm installing Acrobat XI Pro now.

I cant find any answers on the forum and i need to download the trial version of after effects, any help welcome.

Are you clicking on the Try link for After Effects from the Creative Cloud Apps page at https://creative.adobe.com/apps?
You can manually download and install the Adobe Application Manager:
    Windows link here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773.
Mac OS X link here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774.
To use After Effects you do need a 64-bit computer per the Tech Specs here http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/tech-specs.html.

  • Creative Cloud Application Manager will not load or update.

Do I need to uninstall in Windows and then reinstall to get it to work again?

I'm running Windows 7.0 Home Premium 64 bit with an core i7 processor and 9 gig of ram. The application manager tries to load and stops about a third of the way through with an error message that says I have an Adobe Genuine Software Vaidation Failure. The prouct you are trying to install is not an Adobe genuine software and appears to be counterfiet. My only option then is to quit the application. This happens whenever I start the Application Manager and it tries to update itself..

  • Desktop Manager Update- Stuck on "Loading Applications" step

I started to download a desktop manager update and the download has been on step 10 of 12 for almost an hour.  That step of the process is the "loading applications" task.  Is it normal for the update to take this long?  There is a message at the top of te update box warning me not to diconnect my device or I risk damage to the apps and the device.
I am wondering if this is the normal time and how I can prevent damaging the device if it's not normal?  Thanks for the help!

Updates don't usually take this long, so it's possible something may have gone wrong.  Do you know what the update was for?  If you're with Sprint, it may have been upgrading the operating system on your phone, but other than that, I'm not sure why it would be doing that.
If you still need additional help, please post back and include your carrier name and if you know it, the operating system version that was installed on the phone.  And let us know what, if any, messages are displayed on the phone and/or computer.
If you want to thank someone for their comment, do so by clicking the Thumbs Up icon.
If your issue is resolved, don't forget to click the Solution button on the resolution!

  • Adobe Application Manager Hangs and Won't Load

I am a Creative Cloud subscriber
I manually uninstalled Acrobat XI -- I know, bad idea, I shouldn't have done that, but now it is what it is ...
So now I cannot run Adobe Application Manager without it hanging
I downloaded and installed the AAM patch from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
That did not solve the problem
I used the uninstallers to remove all my Creative Cloud apps as suggested here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-creative-cloud-installation-download .html#download_freeze
That did not solve the problem
I'm stuck.  Now I have no Creative Cloud apps and I cannot get the AAM running so that I can get the apps installed.

Delete the opm.db. Should be somewhere in Library:Application Support:Adobe
