Trouble logging in new account - account hasn't been used message

When trying to log in to the ITune store for the first time.  Keep getting a message "account hasn't been used" , then kicks you out

1) The third or fourth person who wrote back from itunes 'express lane' support was, AS ALWAYS, so nice. She gave me a free coupon for something. She told me that I was a great artist (who writes this stuff?). She held out lures indicating that my podcast might become the next great thing since sliced bread. She told me that she was looking forward to listening to it later.
Thats right, she couldn't help me out
2) So, the work around that worked was - I setup a BRAND NEW MOBILE ME account as a home for my audio files (using the 2 free month promotion), changed everything I could (and didn't want to) like the TITLE (the old one was recorded in all 5 episodes I've already recorded) , my name (it's still my legal name but I changed to initials and hyphenated with my married name), and added new words into the description, deleted a few words, so that all keywords wouldn't be exactly the same.
That way I had not only a NEW RSS feed but also new data to go with it.
I guess my old submission just sits as a key in some database somewhere forever.
3) I FINALLY GOT APPROVED yesterday and went out to check out my podcast. Boy, was I disappointed not to see my image. But then I read a reply to another post out here from Roger, saying that the images can take several days to update. So I took will be hopeful and check back.

    The password will not be sent to you, because Apple does not know it. They will send a link where you can reset the password.     Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! This is a common alert message when your Apple ID has not yet been configured for use with the iTunes Store. To configure it, you should have the option to “Review” - at which time you can add a payment method to your account. For more information, check out this resource:

    You need to respond to the verification email from Apple by clicking the Verify Now link.  Make sure you check the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

    If you are in South Africa then you can only use the South African store - to use the US store you will need to be in the US with a US billing address on your account.
    If you are not getting the email then check your spam folder and/or request that it be resent.

    This is so frustrating! I have an itunes store account, etc. I lost all my info when I had to "restore" my iphone.
    I wasn't able to do the "restore" until recently, gosh it was about 6mos or more ago when my iphone died...
    So, as I get older I am having memory problems and haven't been able to access my itunes account.
    Obviously when I did the "restore" on my iphone I lost all my info with it... So, wanting to use my iphone for
    music, games, etc. I had to create a new apple id, fine, but when I wanted to download a "free" app it says
    my apple id hasn't been used with itunes so it keeps asking for credit card info.
    I do not remember ever having to have a credit card before!

    If you are within 14 days of purchase you can still return the iPhone and get the phone that suits your needs, however, I think you will find that no matter which phone you get the content provider will want to know how you are going to pay for future purchases. For Android phones it is Google, and they will certainly want to know.

    Hi yes that works well when the new ipad hasn't been used. Trouble new one has been used for two months or more, has lots photos email etc etc. I am worried that these will go. When we did iPhone thru same process finished up with two of most things pics and emails. The emails alone were over 2 thousand and wife reluctant to delete them all. I would and just sort pics. Any other ideas

  • My old (1st gen) iPad suddenly doesn't start up, it hasn't been used but I have been charging it for 3 hours and still nothing

    since getting the 'new' ipad, my old one hasn't been used. I tried it early today and it does nothing.  It has been on a charge for a few hours now, the apple logo screen blinks occasionally but that is still all it will do?  Is this normal and will eventually work or is something wrong with it?

    Maybe it has taken umbrage at being dwarfed by the new model!
    Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.] It is absolutely/appsolutely safe!

    I have an ipod touch that hasn't been used in a while.  We want to use it now, but the screen says "ipod disabled.  connect to itunes".  When I connect to itunes it tells me to enter my passcode, however the ipod will not allow me to do anything (and I don't know the code anyway).  I tried to put it in recovery mode as someone suggested by holding the home button while plugging the ipod up from the computer, but I never did get the "connect to itunes" symbol, I continually got the same screen saying "ipod disabled connect to itunes".  Help!

    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    Could the credit card be expired?
    Beyond that, what you need to do is contact iTunes support, they can tell you exactly what is wrong, none of us here can do that.
    In the lower right corner of this page is a 'contact us' link. Click on that and you'll see a page full of info and links, one of which is iTunes support.

    I discovered how to enter the track titles onto my newer MacBook Pro, and was so pleased!  But when I tried to do the same with the other laptop, it failed. 
    What I did, basically, was what the Apple Help suggested--choose iTunes General Preferences, etc.etc.  And yes, I did upgrade the old laptop to the newest iTunes version.
    Am I just wasting my time here? Is there some reason why an older Mac Pro will not do what the newer one will, with regard to iTunes?
    My older laptop is a 2.6 GHz Core Duo; it has 36 GB of "memory available."  The newer one  a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7. It has 284 GB of memory available.
    Both are using the same version of Snow Leopard--10.6.8.
