Trouble logging in with iPad adobe reader app

Just got iPad mini. Installed adobe reader app. Can't get it to recognize my email or password. Anyone else using iPad app can you help?

Hi Julie,
Now try logging again from your iPad Adobe reader app, probably now you must have clicked on the email verification link that you got after creating the account on files.acrobat.com.
For transferring your files, download the file from website and place it in your Acrobat.com account opened from web client. Now you can access it from your iPad by signing in Acrobat.com.

  • Trouble logging in with my adobe ID

Hello, I'm useing PE 8 and am having trouble logging on with my adobe ID. I'm getting error 400 and check network connections. I know I have a internet connection. Thanks

No, adobe never supports any version of PSE after a new one comes out, and it doesn't support the current version much.
The only updates for PSE 8 are manually installed, so go to help>updates and when the updater tries to run, set it  not to check again. I'm assuming you're using the windows version, so the ACR updates (all the updates there are) are here:

  • Deleting/removing offline PDF files in the iPad Adobe Reader app

Whenever I open a file from the Acrobat.com cloud in the iPad's Adobe Reader app, a local copy is saved which I can read even when not connected to the internet. This is intentional by Adobe, and allows me to read PDFs offline, which is great. My question is, if an offline copy of every PDF I open is saved on the iPad, it will soon run out of disk space. Is there any way that I can delete/remove a specific offline PDF in order to free up disk space? I understand that this would mean that I would not be able to read that file offline anymore until I reconnect to the Acrobat.com cloud and reopen the document from the cloud. Thanks!

    Hi,
Thank you for reproting the issue. You are right Adobe Reader saves a local copy whenever you opens a file from Acrobat.com. But there is a limitaion to the number of files it saves locally. So whenever the number of files opened from Acrobat.com reaches that value, it removes the first file opened from acrobat.com from its local memory and so on. So there is no chance of running out of memory.
Secondly, if you want to remove the locally saved files then you can just sign out from Acrobat.com and sign in again. In this case it will remove all the files saved locally. Then you have to download them again to view.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Ankit

  • Having Problems Seeing your LiveCycle Designer Forms on the iPAD Adobe Reader App?

I'm not a computer wize and very new to Adobe and creating forms with LiveCycle.  So apologize to anyone that reads this and says "duh", but hopefully it will be helpful to someone out there who is struggling like I was.
    First off - the IPad will will definitely be able to view your livecycle forms regardless of what anyone else says!  These were my steps;
    1. Create form in LiveCycle Designer.
    2. When you save, select "save as"
    3. When the dialogue box opens, and you are creating the name of what you are going to call your file, below you will see a drop down box labeled "Save As Type".  Make sure you switch the file type to "Adobe Static PDF Form (*.pdf)"
    And that's it!
Here is another tip for a user like me:)
I need to create a form to post to a website, where people fill it in and save it to their computers.  I found that when I just saved the form straight from LiveCycle Designer and then posted, some of the free adobe versions wouldn't let the user fill it in.  So this is what I did,
    1. Follow the first 3 steps I listed above.
    2. Next open Adobe (the full version) not the reader.  I have Adobe X.
    3. Got to "Save As".  It will give you a bunch of options.  Select "Reader Extended PDF" and then "Enable Additional Features"
    Add that should be it!
One more tip for the average to low level user.  We had some feedback that when someone open my form in the iPad app. they were not able to fill it in.  They could, but what they didn't realize was they needed to select the icon at the top that is a little picture of a speech bubble and pencile.

Yup. I filled in the form and made a bunch of comments, closed the app and everything I had filled in on the form was still there. I also tried emailing the filled in form to myself and opening it. The comments and filled in sections don't appear when I open it in my email viewer, but as long as I open it in the adobe app everything is still there.
Now all I have to do is to convince my web guy not to be mad when I Tell him he has to repost all my files (JK) ;)

  • How can I get the adobe reader app on my iPad to accept my login info?

I can login to adobe with my computer, and Safari on my iPad, but when I try to login with the adobe reader app on my iPad, I get an incorrect user ID or password message.

Try logging on to https://exportpdf.adobe.com/. See if it asks for date of birth, if so, fill it in. For some people (bizarrely) this fixes it.

    Hi Dan,
Do you have a lot of PDF documents on your desktop/notebook computer?
Using iTunes (desktop version) and a cable may be the fastest and easiest way to transfer files to your iPhone.

  • Is it work with ipad Adobe acrobat pdf reader app

i Need to know before brushing can i use it with ipad adobe pdf reader app
    as for highlighting some statements

Unfortunately - you can't dictate what software other people will use to open your files.
The only suggestion I have is to make a note beside the Download of the file that it's best viewed in Acrobat Reader or Professional.
    Acrobat Reader is free.
Firefox PDF reader is pittance too - my PDFs show up with "black" where it should be "white" - I had to turn off their inbuilt PDF reader and tell the Application to use Acrobat. You can find instructions online for this.
Other than that - see what the Microsoft forums say about the PDF reader and how to get "things working" as it's clearly a fault in their software.

  • Need help with Adobe Reader App on ipad

Hi, I downloaded the adobe reader app on my ipad recently and saved lots of documents in it under the “Document” tab. I do my backup on iTune regularly. But I am unsure if all my documents in that app will be backup in my iTune. What worries me is that next time when I buy a new ipad, I cannot transfer the documents over. Any help? Or do I have to painstakingly upload them to Acrobat.com? Is that a storage limit for Acrobat.com? Thank you!

    Hi Sophieberry,
You can back up your all document via iTunes. Tethered your device with your Desktop/Mac and open up iTunes. Select your device from the left hand window, and go to the apps screen , scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and then select Adobe Reader from the list. Now select all the document and tap on Save to option and enter the location where you want to save the PDF. Hope this will solve your problem of back up.
However, you can back up your file to Acrobat.com and storage limit for this is 2GB.
    Thanks

  • Adobe Reader app on my ipad air problem with combo boxes filling in

I am using Adobe Reader app on my ipad air and when filling out forms, and making a selection from a combo box, my selection dissappears.  Not visible, not printable, not savable, just blank.  It works well on my Reader on my Windows desktop.  Any ideas?

    cas ecowater,
We can examine your PDF forms and determine the cause of the problem.
Would you send the PDF forms as email attachments to [email protected]?  Please include the link to this forum post (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1634405) in your email message for reference.
    Thank you.

In adobe reader app on iPad, I have a PDF document that added notes and comments to.  Once I left the document and returned to it, the notes and comments were gone.  Where are they?  I clicked "save" and "done" buttons after I entered text.

The application auto-saves your input when you close the document.  If you left the document, as you state, the notes/comments should have been saved and should have been visible the next time you opened the document with the Mobile Reader (note that if you are opening the document with another app such as Apple's built in PDF Viewer, things like notes/comments may not be visible).  Also note that if you are doing an Open In... from another app (like Dropbox), the version of the document in Dropbox does not update; only the version of the document in the Mobile Reader is updated.
Would it be possible to send a video of the problem you are encountering to [email protected] so that we can try to help?

  • How to transfer pdfs in Adobe reader app on ipad to desktop pc?

I can't see to find the solution of this problem anywhere.
Is it possible to transfer the pdfs saved in the Adobe Reader app to a PC (not a mac, I don't have one).
Basically, I want to be able to plug my ipad into my PC and take the pdfs and transfer straight to my PC without going through any other means.
    Thanks

You can either do it using Adobe Reader Mobile Link: https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/beta-features/mobile-link.html
I do not have any iOS devices, but if I connect my Android device to my Windows PC, I use Windows Explorer to view, then copy (drag-and-drop) the files from the Android directory straight to my local disk on Windows.  I am pretty sure it works similarly with iOS devices.

First show the Documents list, and in the upper left tap the Edit button. A toolbar in the upper left you'll see a folder icon with a + superimposed. • Trying to open PDF in email with Adobe Reader app

Citimortgage sent me a disclosure statement by email. I'm trying to open it on my iPad using the Adobe Reader app, but this is all I get.
To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html
    Help!
    Jennifer

George is correct. XFA forms (which the mobile Reader does not support) are often built with a generic error (like the one described) page that displays for Readers that do not support these document types.
