Trouble navigating to images folder

Hi, I am sure that this is simple but ...
I want to have a div with a background image ... here is the css
.how_we_work_box {
position: absolute;
left:350px;
top:450px;
font-size: 16px;
font-weight: bold;
height: 150px;
width: 200px;
background-image: url(piece.png);
If I put the image piece.png in the css folder this works.  If in the brackets I write images/piece.png and I put the image piece.png in the images folder and use the css ...
.how_we_work_box {
position: absolute;
left:350px;
top:450px;
font-size: 16px;
font-weight: bold;
height: 150px;
width: 200px;
background-image: url(images/piece.png);
... then it doesn't.  What am I doing wrong it is driving me mad.  The structure is just the html page files and the css and image folders all at the same level.
Many thanks, Matt.

If you separate the two sites into their own domain file you can do what you want. I use iWebSites to manage over 75 individual sites. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process and move it to another location on your HD until you're satisfied the separation process is completed and what you want.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

    Hi Robodisko,
    Thanks for your prompt reply......
    I often proof my work in preview then edit images in photoshop and rename from there.  The dsc images are renamed to correlate the name of the class etc.  i.e. dcs_001 is saved as the file name required 7A.jpeg etc.
    The file names are required to correlate what is what and so on..........

  • Trouble Creating Padded Images for iMovie

    i am having trouble creating "padded" images to add to iMovie 09.  I followed the directions here (https://discussions.apple.com/message/10699725?messageID=10699725#10699725?messa geID=10699725) which recommend the following:
    Set up an Automator Workflow to
    1. Ask for Photos (You must select one or more photos and hit Select - you can make this easier by putting them in an album beforehand)
    2. Copy Finder Items (give it a folder to copy to- so you can find them easily)
    3. Pad Images. (put a check mark in "scale image before padding" and set for dimensions of your project.
    Hit Run and a dialog box will come up asking you to select photos. When you are finished, press SELECT and the Automator script will keep running.
    However, each time I run the script I get the following error: The action "Pad Images" was not supplied with the required data."
    My files are .jpg and I am running OS X.  Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

    If you want a quick response it might make sense to try and contact user TessB directly. I say that only as that person was the one that proposed the Automater Workflow workaround, and that's not exactly something here can answer (Maybe the folks in another forum related to Autmator might be able to help). Unfortunately some solutions aren't as generic or easy to use for everyone as they are for the person who has written them up. I call it the "Works for Me" problem.

  • Apache URL redirect causes APEX to point to the wrong images folder

    Hello All,
    I am using the following in httpd.conf
    Redirect / http://hostname/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard
    When I try accessing APEX the application can't locate the image folder. For example instead of looking for e2.gif in
    http://hostname/i/e2.gif
    it's looking for the images in
    http://hostname/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboardi/e2.gif
    How do I point APEX to the correct image folder?
    Thanks
    Fiston

    Hi, Fiston
    try using RedirectMatch directive
    RedirectMatch ^/$ http://hostname/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard
    or maybe
    RedirectMatch ^/$ /analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard

  • Apex listener images folder issue

    Hi expert,
    I'm newbies in oracle apex listener and would like to know more about oracle apex listener from all the expertise.
    My situation is like that i would like to install apex listener (standalone mode) in a server to browser apex application from another server with oracle database 11g and oracle apex development.
    My installation step as below;
    1. I copy images folder from database server apex\images folder to apex listener installation folder before i install apex listener (called "apexlistener").
    2. Run cmd "java -Dapex.home=c:\apexlistener -Dapex.images=c:\apexlistener\images -Dapex.port=8585 -Dapex.erase -jar c:\apexlistener\apex.war" to install apex listener.
    Just a question, if i amended oracle apex application in database server, should i need to copy the images folder again to apex listener server?
    What is the main source in images folder used in oracle apex listener server?
    My experience is i tried to copy images folder from database server A with apex application (in runtime mode) to apexlistener folder server B. And i configure the database connection to server c with same oracle apex application as well. I tried to browser oracle apex application in server c from server B. I found out my apex application is not running properly due to the javascript is not installed properly. I would like to ask, is the images files in apex listener server must same with apex application server?
    Anyone have idea on automatically start apex listener when the server reboots?
    How to run apex listener in backend?
    Hope can get some idea and solution from all the expertise!
    Thanks in advance!

    >
    The images folder has a relation with the Apex Version installed on the database, not with the applications in the Apex.
    Depends on what you mean by amending applications. If you add custom CSS, JS ,etc to the application , and are not uploading the files to WORKSPACE_IMAGES, then you need to copy the external files to the images folder. But not copy it all over again.
    If no custom files then no need to copy the images folder.

    As stated earlier, the contents of the images (/i/) folder are related to the Apex Version. If your two db servers have different versions of Apex then the same images folder will not work with both. It will work with only one, the one that has the Apex Version compatible with the images folder.

    How to suggest without knowing OS?
    You can write a batch file that runs on bootup to achieve this.

  • How do i delte more than one image at a time from all images folder on iMac

    i have 7000 images in the my images folder, how can I delte them all at once?

    Click on one folder (if they are nested together in parent folder) and use Select All from Edit menu; then use Move To Trash from File menu. Then use Empty Trash from Finder menu. Same with single images if all of them are in one folder.
    Sometimes a folder may be where an application expects to put them, so if that's the case, be sure to leave an empty folder if its part of a system or application. There are times when ownership privilege or user permissions may be lacking, so you may not be able to move or trash them.
    Hopefully its not more complicated than this.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Is there a way to recover an overwritten image folder in a site root?

    I mistakenly did a 'get' of the 'images' folder in my remote site and it overwrote my local site file, which contained many new photoshopped jpgs that I had spent hours creating and had recently placed there for the site work.
    I am working in CS5 on a Windows 7 desktop PC.
    The overwritten images folder I want to recover was stored on my 'z' drive (public drive), which I use for all my work so that I can also access it via my laptop (networked) if working in another area of the house.
    Is there any magic recovery for this overwritten file folder or should I just start the many hours of work over again?
    To add to the stress, the site must go live in a few days to please my customer.
    URGENT & FRANTIC,
    Sally

    Hello Sally,
    in this case and under the condition that you have already unsuccessful scanned/searched all positions of your hard drive with a file-manager, there is still that possibility which you should do as quickly as possible, without any other file operations. I didn't see your thread earlier, hope it's not too late, yet!
    If you're lucky, some of your file are still intact on your hard disk and you get your file back with an "unerase tool", like Norton-Utilities. You could try Google search too. A (German) tool finds here: http://www.chip.de/downloads/O-amp-O-UnErase_13014611.html.
    Before a file is deleted completely, the operating system removes only the first letter of the file's name. PHYSICALLY the file is still situated on your hard disk(s). The unerase tools can detect it and it draws up a list which will give you a detailed record of these files which can be recovered. Here a screenshot of my German "Unerase Tool":
    "Wiederherstellen" means something like "recover".
    Good luck!

  • I am trying to make an Edge Animation work on a CMS. I used "AdobeEdge.loadComposition" to find the .JS file, but it is looking for the images in the "/image" folder. I would like to store the images in another place. Please help me accomplish this.

    Here's the code:
    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="http://animate.adobe.com/runtime/5.0.1/edge.5.0.1.min.js"></script>
    <style>
        .edgeLoad-EDGE-4084323 { visibility:hidden; }
    </style
    <script>
       AdobeEdge.loadComposition('/media/products/edge_script/channels', 'EDGE-4084323', {
        scaleToFit: "none",
        centerStage: "none",
        minW: "0",
        maxW: "undefined",
        width: "361px",
        height: "268px"
    }, {"dom":{}}, {"dom":{}});
    </script>
    <div align="center">
      <div id="Stage" class="EDGE-4084323">
      </div>
    </div>
    Thank you for your help.

    Ahhhhhh, ok. Figured this one out after digging more.
    Here's the answer from another post. Hope it helps someone!
    If you need to set an absolute folder url, or you are pulling the content from a server that does not host the content, you can manually update the <projectname>_edge.js file to specify the directory:
    (function($, Edge, compId){
    //images folder
    var im='<SERVER/FOLDER>/images/';
    Just beware that if you re-publish the files, you'll need to redo any custom modifications.  I do this for off-server projects and it works very well so long as you make all the changes in each JS file where you need to specify the exact path.

  • Images folder in Robohelp 7 project only lists a small fraction of the images actually there

    I added an image to a topic. The image had an identical name to an existing image in the project. The image appeared in my main project folder, which is where all images initially show up in my project. I then move them to an images folder. I moved this image, expecting to get a message asking if I wanted to replace the exsting image with the same name. i wanted to update all instances where this image appears. Instead I got a message that this file was in use and could not be replaced. I clicked on my images folder to see if the original image was in a topic that was open and maybe that was why it would not overwrite. At this point i noticed most of the images in the folder were not listed.
    I can use Reports Used and I see all the files that are supposed to be in my images folder, but when I go to the Images Reports tab, only the files that are listed in my images folder in the Project Manager are shown. So Robohelp knows the files are in the images folder and that they are in use, but it does not recognize them as images and will not list them as such.
    i have no idea how this happened or how to fix it.

    If RoboHelp allowed you to replace the image and it were a different size, you could have problems in the existing topics. I suspect that is why it is not allowed to replace it in that way.
    As far as "missing" images are concerned, try renaming the folder to say Images2. They will likely all appear and then you can revert the name.

  • How to read the contents of images folder using AS3

    Hi,
    I'd like to load the images in the folder dynamically without using XML.
    Is there a mechanism in AS3 that enables me to read directly the content of images folder directly without using XML or should I use php to do that?
    Thanks

    Yes you can do that without XML. You need to use the Loader() class to dynamically load the images. Check the documentation of the loader class.

  • How to avoid "images" folder in programatic exporting of.rpt files to HTML

    In C#, When crystal reports is programatically exported to HTML format, the result is a folder bundled with .htm files and a folder called "images" which holds the .png files associated with these .htm.
    My requirement is to have both the .htm files and the graphic files(i.e. '.png' files) in the same folder and do not want a new folder "images" to be created.
    This creation of "images" folder does not happen when we manually export cryatal reports to html format.
    Kindly suggest, How can we avoid the creation of this "images" folder when programatically exported to html format ?
    Following is the approach used to export to HTML format.
    ReportDocument mreportDocumentObject_
    mreportDocumentObject = new ReportDocument();_
    ExportOptions exportOptions = new ExportOptions();
    exportOptions.ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile;
    exportOptions.ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.HTML40;
    HTMLFormatOptions htmlFormatOptions = new HTMLFormatOptions();
    htmlFormatOptions.HTMLBaseFolderName = folderName;
    htmlFormatOptions.HTMLFileName = fileName;
    htmlFormatOptions.HTMLEnableSeparatedPages = bHTMLEnableSeparatedPages;
    htmlFormatOptions.HTMLHasPageNavigator = bHTMLHasPageNavigator;
    exportOptions.FormatOptions = htmlFormatOptions;
    mreportDocumentObject.Export(exportOptions);_

    HI David,
    I have a requirement to e-mail the exported html report. When i e-mail the attachments (i.e .htm file and .png file with in the images folder) , The reciever has to save the .htm file into a folder(say X) and with in the same folder 'X'  he has to create a 'images' folder and save the .png file into it. Only then .htm file will load the appropriate ".png".(I believe It is internally designed in .htm to load the .png files from 'images' folder). SO it becomes additional work for the user to save these attachments in folder structure as explained above.
    There is another scenario to store the reports into database which requires .htm and .png to be in the same folder.
    These are above scenarios where images folder is causing the problem.
    I have exported the reports to other formats (i.e. xls, pdf, rtf, txt) and those work fine. Supporting .html format as part of the above requirement is where i am stuck.
    I wanted to confirm whether creation of 'images' folder in CR .NET SDK IS BY DESIGN ?
    If that is confirmed and if there is NO work around to get the .htm file and .png file into same folder, then we can re - think on our requirement.
    Kindly confirm the above or Kindly suggest any work around if available .
    Thank You.

  • Please help. How can I get rid of this red dotted border around my navigation bar images?

    If you go to my site here...
    http://metalwolf92.zymichost.com/
    And left-click and hold down your mouse, but don't release, on any of the navigation button images. Notice the red dotted border? How can I get rid of those?
    All images already have border set to 0.

    I just noticed your page has no css. so in Code View, replace this closing tag:
    </head>
    with this:
    <style type="text/css">
    a:active {
      outline: none;
    </style>
    </head>

  • Why every time I save a selected slice It always creates an Image Folder?

    I know in Adobe PhotoShop you can save each image indivdually  without an image folder being created. Is there a way you can do this with Adobe Illustrator?

    They got rid of edit output settings in CS6 not sure if it has returned in CC.
    I have not tried this, but another post claims this works. Check the html file if you need that.
    Go to to "Macintosh HD > Applications > Adobe Illustrator CS6 > Adobe Illustrator CS6": right-click and "show package contents".
    then browse to "Required > Resources > en_GB > SaveforWebStrings.txt"
    open the file in a text-editor (BBedit Textmate,… make a back-up first)
    and change line 606:
    "$$$/HtmlUtilities/Subfolder/Images=images"
    to
    "$$$/HtmlUtilities/Subfolder/Images="
    restart illustrator

  • Images not displaying in Images folder

    Morning all,
    RH 802 generating WebHelp.
    I've got some images in topics that do not appear in the Images folder (where I moved them all to). I think this used to work fine. My images are all there if I generate or if I check the Images folder in Windows Explorer. They seem to only be missing from the UI in RH.
    What file does RH use (if any) to hold the images?
    I tried Search but it seems broken as all searches returned 0 results.
    TIA,
    James

    Peter,
    Yep, that did it...for a while. One restart of RH.
    Actually I had to rename to a temporary name for all the images to show up, restart RH and rename to the original name again .
    And it seems the Images folder does not play nice with the .cpd file. I had to turn off the option under Tools > Options... and could not delete the .cpd file manually either.
    So I have either the Images folder up-to-date or I have a fresh .cpd file, not both.

  • How do I get images into the "images" folder with Dreamweaver CS4?

    Hi,
    I've been following the tutorial by Christopher Heng, on chapter 2, adding images. "Look at the right panel of the web editor. You should see at least two major sections: the top section has a tab entitled "INSERT", and the bottom section has a tab labelled "FILES""...
    I don't see the tab "Insert", but do see "Files" and have created a folder in there called "Images", as Mr. Heng explained.
    The next step sounds easy enough - copy your image files into the images folder.  But for the life of me I can't seem to do this. Can someone PLEASE help me out?
    Thank you - Louise

    Do you mean you can't get your images into the images folder of your site?
    Open the folder with your images in it on the desktop,
    not inside dreamweaver,
    and open the folder you want to put the images on your desktop too,
    so both folders are open,
    right click the image, copy and paste it to your website images folder
    or double-click the image and drag it across into the website images folder.
    You could also open the image in your image editing software and 'save as'
    then browse to your website images folder and save there.
