Trouble nesting more than one Character Style...

I am trying to create the below heading in CS5 on a Mac:
Lesson 2.1: Who am I?
So I made the Lesson 2.1 a character style called "Lesson #." And then I made Who am I? a paragraph style called "Lesson title" and nested the "Lesson #" though 1 colon. And that worked great. But then I felt like the space between "Lesson #" and "Lesson Title" was too big. (This seems really nit-picky I know but the boxes the lesson titles need to fit in are small and the titles vary in length so I was trying to save all the space I could for the longer titles.)
Lesson 2.1: Who am I?
So I made the space (see the underline above) a character style of it's own that was the same as the "Lesson Title" in all aspects except that it was 11 pt font. I then made this a nested style in the "Lesson Title" that came after "Lesson #" through 1 letter.
But it doesn't seem to be working very well...which made me question if there was something else I needed to do in order to nest more than one character style? Or whether I should be even approaching this issue in this way....

YES!!! IT WORKED! I think InDesign and I are now friends. All my styles are working! (knock on wood.)
Weird that the horizontal scaling would work though and not changing the font size? or maybe I jsut don't understand exactly how InDesign thinks yet...

Never tried with bullets but nested styles might work... I think you can chain two or more nested style, and then you can define first nested style to effect only first character, second nested style to next character and so on....

How do I create more than one CSS style for text links?

Just like the title says, I need help with creating more than one CSS text link style in Dreamweaver CS4. For instance, I want the navigation on the website I'm building to have a different text link style than a link in some part of the body copy. I've been playing with Dreamweaver for a while and can't find any way to do this. If it's even possible to do this, I would really appreciate any help.

Yes it is possible but as you have failed to provide a valid link to your site, I will tell you in general Terms:
1) First create a class or an ID to to your Nav bar;
2) Now style your navbar in such a way that these styles will only apply to your nav bar. To do this, you start your style by doing something like this:

ul#navigation a:hover {.........}
ul#navigation li {.........}
your html code might look like this:

K9n2 Diamond having trouble with more than one stick of ram

WIN-500xspx 500W PSU
Geforce 9600 GSO
7750 BE Kuma
XP 64bit
k9n2 diamond w/ BIOS 2.3
2GB Mushkin HP2-6400 (2x1GB)
I just got the board two days ago and got everything set up, but I've been having some trouble with my ram. Whenever I have more than one stick of ram, it fails to post, unless I clear the cmos before I power on. Then, it will give me the option to load the bios or run on default settings. If I run on default, it will boot up fine and work well for about 5 minutes. Then it will shut off and not post until I've cleared the cmos again. So, I figured I had an incompatibility issue with the ram. So I tried another set, the Crucial Ballistix BL1286AA1065.8FEF with the same results. Next I went with the Rendition RM12864AA800 with the same results. I tested each stick individually and they're all good. Each slot works fine as well. I switched the old mobo back and all was well. The only thing left is the PSU but I don't think thats the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Its the PSU, go for better one with strong single rail like Corsair VX,TX Series.

Modbus, having trouble reading more than one register.

I think my issue may be something simple. I am able to read exactly one modbus register correctly. If I try to increase the registers to any more than one I get a timeout 6101 error at the Modbus read module. So far I've tried a number of different layouts, and even two different Modbus slaves from different vendors with the same results. I'm using a USB-RS485 converter with the FTDI232 chip. Again, a single register read always returns the correct data - so I'm almost there. The register divide routine on the right had side is rudimentary for now until I can get data from multiple registers. Any help is appreciated.

I have solved the issue. On my RS485 converter (I'm using one from bb-electronics), I had "Echo on" enabled. This caused the written command to re-appear on the read buffer. The modbus read function will accept this configuration - but only when reading one register! So, for anyone with this issue in the future - check your echo setting.
Someone more familiar with the modbus protocol's working and the internals of the read function could probably explain why this situation would manifest.
I understand the timed loop is bad practice - I should loop while no error, but I was trying to fix my core issue before making any improvements.

But, if the one of the small string in the long string contain the character "#", I found the "#####" and "#" also trace as delimiters by StringTokenizers to filter the String such as following example:

I have found that the StringTokenizer trace "#####" and "#" to be delimiters to filter the String, I only want to filter the String by StringTokenizer with "#####" not include "#"
So What Can I Do? Is it

not Correct?

If I must use StringTokenizer, How can I do it? You completely misunderstand how StringTokenizer works.
StringTokenizer st = new StringTokenizer(output,"#####");Each character is used as a delimiter. So you have specified the same delimiter 5 times.
As suggested above you would need to rewrite the entire code, to treat the String as a delimiter, intead of each character as a delimiter.

Using more than one attached style sheet

I have one document with two attached style sheets. One style
sheet defines how to display links for a navigation panel and the
other style sheet defines how to display links within the body of
the document. How can I indicate which style to use with a

Cant get FBEAN.GET_CHAR_PROPERTY to return more than one character

I have a javabean on my form. I am passing values to the bean using FBEAN_INVOKE. I need to get error messages back from Java. I set the logging mode to Log_All.
I use FBEAN.GET_CHAR_PROPERTY to return an error.
Here's my code:
retval varchar2(10);
retval := FBEAN.GET_CHAR_PROPERTY('bean',1,'errorMessage');
message (retval);
The message appears on the Java control panel. But the message returned in the Form is null, unless the value is one char length. It should be able to return a string.
I have a similar problem when using FBEAN_INVOKE_CHAR.
My Java class extends JPanel
Does anyone know what is wrong ?

War Deployment and JNDI troubles - Possibly more than one problem

So this all started with the deployment of a *.WAR file that uses a Spring injected JNDI connection. The JNDI connection is set up in Weblogic 10.3 which is what I'm using for an App server. Problem I am seeing right now is nearly identical to the issue posted in this Struts 2 thread:

I'm using an iPhone 4. I used to be able to send more than one picture at a time to another iPhone. Now I get messages that it cannot be delivered. What's going on?

While on vacation in Canada in July I started having trouble sending more than one pix at a time to other users. I don't recall having this problem before. Is there a limit on the number of pictures you can send via text? I wonder if I messed up some settings while I was in Canada. I had things set so that I could not receive phone calls so I wouldn't get charged. Could I have messed up text / multimedia settings as well?

We want your phone working just as well now as it did before your trip, sngbrd9. Are you trying to send the pictures to other Apple users using iMessage or are they being sent through MMS/picture messaging? Are you able to send pictures one at a time to those same contacts without an error? Did you change any settings in your camera to have HDR now instead of a slightly lower resolution with a smaller file size?

i don't really know if it's possible to suppress more than one character, but you can do load your data in two steps in the first step skip all the information that has the Z character in your conversion file and skip all 1000 values, then repeat the process but this time skip the 1000 values and then suppress the Z value...

INDESIGN GLITCH: Creating an XML file from Indesign Layout - Issue "Using more than one line of GREP" & "Map Styles to Tags"

I currently create XML from InDesign CC by Mapping Style to Tags.
- The Paragraph Styles are manually apply to text. These styles include multiple lines of GREP to automatically apply character styles.
- I map some of the paragraph and character styles to prebuilt tags that have the same name "Map Styles to Tags".
I have found through trouble-shooting that InDesign is unable to "Map Styles to Tags" for more than one line of GREP. I therefore have to chose which line of GREP to automatically tag and which lines to manually tag.
Please can anyone help, I need to automatically map tags to at least two character styles in one paragraph via GREP.

OK. The best I can suggest is running a Find/Change like this:
Which will actually apply the character style to the italics (and I would do the bold as well just to make certain). Then run the Map Styles to Tags again, using the Apply by Name. Which will tag the italics.
I don't know why ID can map to the bold and not the italic character style. It either should do them both (as in this instance) or none at all as the character styles are not actually applied by the grep, just the styling from the character styles.

How to show more than one record at a form-like style report?

Hi All,
I developed a form-like style report
I want it to show more than one record at once (At the same page)
I tried that by setting the value to "Maximum records per page" property for the repeating frame to 10
but when I close the property palete and open it agian the value is returned to 1 !!!
how to show more than one record at the same page?????

there's perhaps another property like "page protect". If than 2 records didn't fit at one page there's a page break. Or is there any object inside the repeating frame with page-break properties? Sorry .. it's like looking into a chrystal ball ...

with below function I can only get rid of ^ , I want both the specific characters ^ and ^* to be removed at the same time.
