Trouble receiving conformation serial number/via email

Just bought Adobe Photoshop, teachers/student edition. I filled out the required information and they were supposed to email it to my .edu address. Hours later, and still no conformation serial number so I can install photoshop. Does it just take a while for them to process the request? Thanks for the feedback, looking forward to getting some answers on this.

It should take up to two business days. So if you submitted on Friday, you could expect it on Tuesday. Or if if you submitted on a monday, the latest you could expect it is Wednesday.
Please note, you can install the Student Teacher version and select the free 30 day trial to use your product during this period (Provided you haven't used up you free 30 day trial already)

    As confirmed by you Muse is asking for serial number on launch. Most of the time this happens because of Hosts file on the machine.
    Please go ahead and rename the hosts file on your machine and you should be all set. here are the steps for both MAC and Windows.
    Windows:
    1. Go to following location.  C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
    2. Rename the file "Hosts" to "hostsold"
    3 Relaunch Muse and sign in with your Adobe ID, you should be all set.
    MAC:
    1.  Go to Finder > Go > Go to Folder
    2. Type /etc and hit Return
    3. Rename the file "Hosts" to "hostsold"
    4. Relaunch Muse and sign in with your Adobe ID, you should be all set.

    Adobe is a mess.  I will re-type this question a FIFTH TIME:
    I HAVE PURCHASED LIGHTROOM A FULL WEEK AGO, through a dealer, and I did not receive a serial number.   I got an email asking me to join LWS, but no serial number - and the product was not listed under my name.  Thye Adobe sites keep giving me a runaroud - I didn't now that registering a product has to become such a big project, and I don't have the time for this nonsense.  Thank you.

    I bought it from an official overseas dealer.  Afterwards I got an email from Adobe to join the licensing site (so the order went through to them), but no serial number.  Thank you for the reply, but I guess I should have filed the issue under another heading, having to do with "Licensing" rather than "Lightroom" (although this is the program that I have purchased).

    Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download  install  activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

    Pam, Thank you!  the problem is not finding the serial number.  I have that by looking up my registration.  The problem I am having is when running set up for the program you get to the serial number screen.  I enter the serial number as emailed and verified by my account, then proceed with the 'next" button.  That is when I receive the message, invalid serial number not a valid serial number go back and reenter.  I try to reenter and still the same message. 
    Any other suggestions or do you know how to actually speak to a representative?  If not it is time to scrap my new Adobe purchase and go back to Nuance's programs.
