Trouble reconnecting images

I'm not sure how they became disconnected but when I try to reconnect via the "Manage Referenced Files" window and click on connect all it only connects one at a time. I've select all images in the top section and navigated the bottom section to where the original resides but it only connects them one at a time. Frustrating to do 335 images this way. The top section images are not in order either for whatever reason with no way to sort them.
Anyone know of a way to fix this?

Hi Patrick,
I'm having exactly the same problem after I shifted all my master files to an external hard drive, and the to a larger one. Most of the files reconnect exactly as they should, but almost all in 3 or 4 projects will only reconnect one at a time and I don't understand why.
I've wondered if the Photoshop files (i.e. when I send an image to an external editor (Photoshop) and save it back a .psd file is created with the other master files) are perhaps causing a bug?
Further to that, do all the stacks have to be open when selecting all files in the browser window, so that both the original master and edited .psd file are visible and selected?
The only other thing I've noticed is that when I select the images to reconnect in the top pane, "All Volumes" is selected/greyed IN/marked, but after the Reconnect All (that doesn't), the grey marker shifts to either the old drive name or the new drive name. I'm not sure if this is relevant at all but have mentioned it just in case.
Anywho, I've got about 3000 images to fix...your problem could be worse! (Cue reply from someone with 50,000 unconnected images...)

  • Trouble importing images into iPhoto

    I have a G5 with Mac OS X 10.4.4 and I am trying to use iPhoto 5.0.4 to create an album.
    Some photos can be imported, some not. I do not understand why some can be imported and some cannot.
    I seem to be able to import photos originally imported from my camera in to the computer - I think iPhoto handles this.
    I have trouble with images copied from a CD-ROM to my hard disk drive (originally the files were on a PC). I'm not sure if all of the CD-ROM photos are not importable or just some.
    I can view the pictures as thumbs in Finder, I can view them with Photoshop, and I can view them with Preview.
    I get the following error message which is useless as there are no Help searches identifying it (the 1 after Unreadable Files: is in reference to my trying to import a single image. If import 5 images the 1 would be a 5, etc.):
    "Unreadable Files: 1
    The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain valid data). "
    Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

    Here's how I solved my problem - I noticed that files from a camera worked, but not files I copied from a CDROM to my hard drive. That is, for some reason, importing files directly from my hard drive did not work. I tried importing the original files directly from my CDROM and it worked. Apparently there is some sort of import function which needs to occur, but does not occur when one copies them from a CDROM to a hard drive. I believe this to be a software bug with iPhoto - the application should be able to identify jpeg files regardless of the source - PhotoShop, Finder, and Preview have no issue doing so. Regardless, problem solved - thank you to those who responded to my question!

  • Trouble with image size

    Hello everyone, I'm having some trouble with image sizes.
    I created a 977x5000 px image at 72 PX/inch resolution with text for use on a weebly website.
    When created the image looks like a small vertical bar(maybe around 50x500px) with a massive left and right photoshop background(not the image background). so if I drag the bottom slider to the left or right the image will completely disappear.  I can CTR and + to get it to the correct size so I can actually read the text. I can still go very far left and right with bottom slider. The problem comes in when I save it to a PNG or other file it still shows up as a bar.
    Is there any way to fix this so it saves it as the correct viewing size? that way when I open the image it's an actual 977x5000 instead of looking like a 50x500
    I'm on Windows 7, my display settings are at 100% and I'm using Photoshop  CC 2014

    You do not understand what is going on at all. First an image file's PX/inch resolution setting is meaningless when it come to the Web and displays all that is meaningful is pixels.  For displays are run at one resolution usually their native manufactured Pixel resolution so your image will be displayed at 96DPI on Desktop Displays and a 300+DPI on Phones and around 250DPI on tablets.  Your image  height is also to large to fit on any display.  The Display I think that displays the most pixels is the IBM T221 22.2" LCD 16:10 aspect ratio 3840px by 2400px.  at 204DPI.  Rotating  that display to portrait it can display an image with a height of 3840px your image height is larger 5000.  Your image has an aspect ratio in the neighborhood of 1:5  an image 50x500 has an aspect ratio of 1:10 a far cry from 1:5 your image is much wider then 1:10.

  • Trouble Exporting Images from Lightroom 3

    I am having trouble exporting images from Lightroom 3 with my User Presets. Error Message: The file could not be written. (1). It has always worked in the past but I just bought a new Mac and had everything transfered to it. Everything else seems to be workin fine. Any solutions?

    Sometimes on new computers, the permissions in certain folders are not set up to allow you (the only user) to write files. It's worth a check.

  • Trouble saving images on cRIO-9022

    I'm having trouble saving images on my RT target cRIO-9022 (VxWorks). I get "error 53 occurred at Write GIF File.vi LabView: Manager call not supported" when running the code. What I'm trying to do is save periodic snapshots of front panel charts/graphs locally on the cRIO and download them at a later time.
    I've also tried some of the report generation VIs and had broken arrows and compile errors. from what I've read in help and online, It seems perhaps it is not possible to do what I'm trying to do with my particular target. Is there any reason that I shouln't be able to save images locally to the RT target? has anyone else had a similar problem generating reports or saving images on the cRIO-9022?
    Thanks for any help you can provide,
    truth204

    I've run into similar problem before... I was unable, at the time, to find a good workaround for saving front panel images to file on RT because the necessary report generation functions were unsupported on the RT environment. If you are just saving data from charts and graphs, you might want to consider saving the data as a binary file or a spreadsheet/.csv style file. This is ultimately what I did in my RT application, and then I created a separate desktop application that would read the data from those exported files and reproduce the charts/graphs that were created on the RT target.

  • Having trouble burning images to cd, get error code 0x8002006E - what is it?

    Hello all, I am having trouble burning images to a cd, I get error code 0x8002006E - what is it?  I have an older MacBook Pro, OSX 10.6.8.  Help!

    You might also try SMC and PRAM resets:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964

    And you might try deleting the "com.apple.finder.plist" in your Library.
    Ciao.

  • Trouble sending images over sms

    Anyone having trouble sending images over txt messages?

    I did it first. You may pay me $10 and get XM2 WebServer 1.2 from my company.
    Ok, I'll help ya out here...
    HTTP protocol in Internet Explorer is "juiced up" meaning that it does not require HTTP data to be correctly sent. To send an image to be deisplayed...
    <html>
    <img src="theImage.gif"></img>
    </html>
    Now, the server will see a GET request like this...
    GET /theImage.gif HTTP/1.1
    Accepts: Image/jpeg, Image/gif, ...
    Your web server (in the IE case just needs to send)...
    output.println(data);
    The data object is a string, that represents the contents of the image.
    To do that, just get the correct File object, connect reader to it, then loop it
    until the reader is no longer ready (reader.ready() != true), as it loops, just append
    the readLine() command to the end of the data string and it will be ok.
    Now this works on IE just fine, using vary small file sizes due to it being loaded directly into
    memory. Casing problem if your app has only 500K of memory and the file size is 700K, 500-700=-200K, so use only small file sizes with this method.
    There is also the URLConnection and HttpURLConnection classes to use that will do this better, but
    they dont have any real way of getting the file's data - that's still YOUR job.

  • Having trouble with image processor...help please!

    HI there...First off I just bought a new iMac and haven't a clue what I'm doing so my problem could be related to that.  While I'm waiting for Adobe to transfer over my platform I downloaded the trial of CS5 Extended to get me started.  I'm having trouble with the image processor...I choose file/scripts/image processor...the dialog box comes up and I choose use open files and then try and choose the folder I want to save them in.  I choose my folder and hit run and it keeps telling me specify folder destination.  I can't for the life of me figure this out...what am I doing wrong?  It always worked fine for me on my PC and CS3.  I can't handle saving each image individually in the new folder...
    Thanks!!

    I haven't renamed anything as far as I know.  I made a new folder when I hit Folder option and it's highlighted as well as the path shows up in the processor box.  Just when I choose run it tells me to specify a folder.  The only thing I can think of is that maybe something messed up b/c I'm copied the files and folders over from my PC but it let me save as on the mac.  Also the folder I'm choosing to put them in is on the Mac harddrive.  IDK...

  • Trouble loading images in Lightroom 2

    I am using lightroom 2 and have had no trouble loading (Raw format) images from my Cannon 50D but I picked up the Cannon G12 and lightroom 2 will not accept images from the G12 in Raw format. It will accept them as jpegs. Any ideas where the problem could be? Would it make a difference to upgrade to lightroom 3?

    Mike,
    Lightroom didn't support the G12 until Version 3.3, so you'll have to do one of two things to use its raw files in LR:
    --Like WW says, you can upgrade. If you're American, I think the upgrade price is about $100.
    --Or you can download Adobe's free DNG converter and convert your raw files to DNGs (which are also raw) that your Version 2 will be able to import.

  • Reconnecting images (that have become placeholders with question marks)?

    Images in document have been replaced by placeholders with question mark. When I check project file 'Show Package Contents' i see that the missing photos are still there.
    Is there a way to re-link or re-connect the photos to their places in the document? Can't find anything in the manual. This is something that happens in many other apps. that I use, like Final Cut, but there is always an easy method of 'reconnection'.
    Ben

    I have exactly the same settings on the desktop iMac as on the Macbook pro, but the problem only occurs on the macbook.

  • ORDImage, trouble set images properties

    Hello.
    I'm having trouble setproperties. I have the following procedure
    DECLARE
    Image ORDSYS.ORDImage;
    BEGIN
    SELECT image INTO Image FROM photos WHERE id = 1 for update;
    Image.setProperties();
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('image width =' || image.getWidth());
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('image height =' || image.getHeight());
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('image size = ' || image.getContentLength());
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('image file type =' || image.getFileFormat());
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('image type = '|| image.getContentFormat());
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('image compression =' || image.getCompressionFormat());
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('image mime type =' || image.getMimeType());
    END;
    When I try to execute the procedure, I get the following error report.
    ERROR on linj 1:
    ORA-29400: data plug error IMG-00002:

    ORA-06512: 在line 5
    I'm new to Oracle ordsys, so I'd very much appreciate all your help :)

    I think there is a case where having the variable name the same as the column name might causes a bug... Why don't you try "img" for the variable name?
    Also, Can you show the code where the image column is populated?
    What is the output of :
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE("image source = " || image.getSource() ||
    " Image location = " || image.getSourceLocation() ||
    " Image type = " || image.getSourceType() ""
    " image name = " || image.getSourceName() ||
    " image size = " || image.getontentLength() );

  • Trouble position image in share DVD menu option

    Anyone having trouble getting an image to fit on the share DVD option menu page. Does not usual apple mask to edit and position image. Spent many hours trying to get my image which contains text not to be cut off. There seems to be no guidance on what the image size should be.
    Thanks in advance,
    Susan

    It is a little confusing... but anything white will be interpreted as transparent.
    Make the text in photoshop a different colour, and use the colour mapping tools in DVDSP to get it to look white in the normal state. You can then change the color to be anything else in the different states.
    For example, if your menu background has white text as part of the background image, and your overlay has red text created in photoshop that sits directly on top of the white text, it will still show as white in DVDSP until you change the mapping. Draw a button rectangle over the text, make sure the button is selected and look in the property inspector, in the colours tab.
    Set the overlay style to be 'Advanced' and the mapping type to 'Chroma'. You'll see a black, red blue and white colour control. Set the button to be 'Normal' and move all of the sliders to the left. Set it to be 'Selected' and move the red slider all the way to the right. Make sure that the dropdown box next to the red slider is also showing red in it. What this is saying is "In the red channel, use red as the colour, and make it fully opaque". Of course, you can swap the red for any other colour in the dropdown. For the 'Activated' state this is exactly what you need to do - leave the red slider on the right, but change the colour in the drop down to be what you want when the button is activated - perhaps yellow, for example.
    You should now have no problem making the buttons change colour as you want.

  • Photoshop 11 does not recognize external harddrive when trying to reconnect images?

    I have moved my catalog to a new computer, using Photoshop Elements 11. All images are on 2 external harddrives. The PC recognizes both harddrives and shows folder structure and files correctly. When in Photoshop Organiser the thumbnails appear, with the question mark, as the drive structure is different to the old PC. When trying to reconnect the images to the second external harddrive Photoshop suddenly does not recognise this harddrive anymore.
    Please anybody advise on what I can do to fix that?

    Please try steps mentioned on blog: http://psekb.blogspot.in/2013/03/how-do-i-reconnect-missing-files-in.html Let me know if it doesn't help.
