Trouble recreating a 'Double Drag' with a snare part in Logic.

I've been having trouble recreating a 'Double Drag' with a snare part in Logic. I created a snare part using a mapped style. I added 2 - 1/16 note duple, highlighted the notes, went to 'Attributes>Independent>Independent Grace' and I wanted to see 2 - separate 1/16 notes, but it only displays 1 - 1/8 note. Is there a step I'm missing? I'm trying to follow the steps in page 703 on the Logic 8 User Manual.

Dragging with 3 fingers is horrid. What happened to double tap & drag?

With the previos OS version I could swipe with 3 fingers to go back and forth on pages and applications and the finder, then if I want to drag something I could just double tap with one finger and drag an item. Easy and simple.
With Mountain Lion, only way to drag with the trackpad is to hold down the physical trackpad button and drag which is kind of a pain to do, especially since my button on my 2010 Mackbook Pro doesn't seem to work as well as it should...or use 3 fingers to drag which doesn't give you as much room to navigate on the trackpad as with one finger. The main problem with doing this is that I can't go back and forth on apps/finder/etc with the 3 finger swipe because if I turn on 3 finger drag it turns that option off. So I'm stuck without going back and forth by swiping in apps which I always used and stuck with a more unfriendly 3 finger drag.
What happened to the double tap and drag? It made things so much easier. Or am I missing an option for that somewhere? Why on earth would apple remove something like that? It's a feature I expect to use both on Mac and Windows.

System Preferences>Accessibility>Mouse & Trackpad>Trackpad Options.
Enable dragging ON: choose from menu "without drag lock".

Another option is to temporarily change your view to outline mode, when your done switch back to preview mode. Ctrl-Y or View>Outline {View>Preview} The menu option will change depending on which mode you are in.
And another option, double click on the object in question to place it in Isolation mode. You can now edit to your hearts content. When done, click on the gray border at top of document.
So as you can see there are multiple ways of accomplishing the same thing.

To completely shut it down, even in the background, double click the home button to display the row of apps. Then press and hold the Facetime app until the app displays a minus sign. then touch the minus sign.
The app is now stopped !

Replacing " (double quote) with ' (single quote)

Hi there,
I have the following method to manipulate user input. All I want to do is, to replace the double quote with a single quote. The implementation I tried was,
this.replace(desc, "\"", "'");
This does not work for me. It jsut removes the double quote and does not introduces the single quote. Could any one please advise?

You can not attach a multi-page .pdf document to Pages.
Just create a folder in which you enclose both your Pages letter and the .pdf.

I have a 2010 macbook pro and a samsung LN40B550 LCD HDTV - having trouble connecting computer to TV with sound - I'm not sure which connectors I need and have purchased a few that aren't working (HDMI: DVI cable & Mini - DP to DVI adaptor). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sorry to tell you that DVI does not support sound. You either have to use a HDMI cable (with the appropriate adapter) or tap your audio output port with a 'Y' type cable configuration for sound.

Cant click and drag with one finger, but works with 3 fingers

Last week, my trackpad starts to fail. Thing is that i can't click and drag with one finger but if i turn on the 3 finges option, i can tap and drag without a problem Check the prefs, universal access too. And everything is ok.
Reset pram, smc , run & fix permissions but nothing.
Looking around the internet i found a possible hint and is related to a bad battery condition. But that post talks a physical defective battery. Mine last like 2 hours.Under the battery icon in the finder it saids tha should be replace soon. Macbook pro late 2008. 4 gb ram , 500 gb hd, 10.7.3
Any suggestions??

It sounds like an accessibility feature, although I'm not 100% sure. You can explore the accessibility settings if you like, or for a quick fix you can try going into Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings.

Hi..I've had a variant of this problem; my internet was accessible but my devices on wifi could not see the PC on Lan. That meant no iTunes syncing, Airplay from iTunes etc.
Dlink has a strange default setting that isolates Wifi & Wired connections into different subnets.I'm assuming you have DHCP setup on your router and you're PC or MAC has internet access via the same router. Try the following steps to see if this solves the problem for you-
1. Go to Setup -> Local Network and Uncheck the box that says 'Configure the second IP Address and Subnet Mask for LAN' - Hit Apply
2. Go to Wireless -> Wireless Basic and Uncheck 'Enable MultiAP Isolation' - Hit Apply
3. Restart your Router
Let me know if this solves your problem. I've been frustrated by my problem for months & had nearly given up.

I'm trying to drag with a wireless mouse. But the item i'm dragging gets copied in the new location instead of moved to the new location.

If you drag to another folder it moves. If you drag to another disk, it copies.
This can be modified by certain control keys:
Command key while dragging
Move dragged item to other volume/location (pointer icon changes while key is held--see this article)
Option key while dragging
Copy dragged item (pointer icon changes while key is held--see this article)
Option-Command key combination while dragging
Make alias of dragged item (pointer icon changes while key is held--see this article)

Double subfolders with same name

Hi,
I suddenly into Thunderbird (31.4.0) double subfolders with the same name.
The mail can not be moved to the folders.
Removing conscious folder succeeds. Thunderbird and system then completely stopped and started again.
Situation with double subfolders is back.
Does anyone have an idea? how can I fix this?
I can respond only Sunday through previously planned activities

Firefox is replacing double quotes with single quotes.

In WordPress and at other sites where I input and save text, Firefox is replacing double quotes with single quotes when I save. It's also showing double quotes as single quotes on websites. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it's still happening.

Illustrator 2014 CC crashes (while dragging with selection tool)

What could be wrong?
Adobe Illustrator CC 2014.1.1
Mac OSX 10.10.1
Font Explorer X Pro 3.5.4 (plugin not installed for Illustrator CC)
I don't have any 3rd party plugins as far as I can tell
I've tried restarting the app, restarting the computer, clearing preferences, closing the laptop lid, closing other apps, removing plugins, etc. Restarting the computer actually worked for a few minutes, but then it started crashing again.
To reproduce:
1. Create a new file or open existing.
2. Create a square.
3. Drag with the selection tool.
4. App crashes.
I've seen many other threads with the same problem, but none of them were solved.

Double open with menu

Hello,
I am getting a double 'open with' menu after right clicking on a file. I am not getting double entries of programs which is fixable by cleaning up launch services database, I literally get a two working open with menus.
