Trouble Restoring my Iphone 4
I recently dropped my iphone 4 in water and it worked immediatly afterward but I then turned it off and put it in a bag of rice. After that it wouldnt only turn when plugged in, but wouldn't connect to the network. I went to the store and they told me to try to restore it. So I plugged it in and it started to restore but then Itunes displayed a notice that said it couldn't finish the restoration, I made sure Itunes was up to date and all of that stuff, is there any other reason it would be doing this? or is it because of the water damage and in that case I should be a new phone?

Hi Im encountering trouble restoring my iPhone 4s back to its original version 5.0.1. When I do restore an error 1 pops out of the screen. please help provide a solution. Im using a factory unlocked iPhone 4s that is updateable anytime but my problem is one morning when I woke up I saw my phone completely out of power and when I plug it in to my charger, restore mode appears on the screen. I did several restore but it keeps getting error. I tried using tiny umbrella to kick it out of restore mode but when it boots up after apple logo appears the spinning wheel never disappear.
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes can't contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software isn't interfering with ports 80 or 443 or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow these steps to troubleshoot security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (go to "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you're using a proxy, try again without using a proxy.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.
Error 3004: If you're using a Mac, you may be able to resolve an error 3004 by quitting iTunes and using the following command in the command line: dscacheutil -flushcache.

Trouble restoring my iPhone 4S
When switching the power on, the prompt on the screen is to connect to iTunes. After connecting to itunes and attempting to restore the phone, I receive error 9. I have replace the connecting cable...problem still exists. I have tried differnet ports on my MacBook and this still does not solve the problem. I have the most up to date iTunes version. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

HT1766 Trouble Restoring my iPhone 4S
Apple replaced my phone today due to battery issues. I was told that because it was all backed up on iCloud I could just follow the prompts and it would restore in a matter of an hour or so. Well that was at 10;39 this morning and I still can not get it to restore. I keep getting messeges saying that it lost connection it could not be restored. But it is sitting right next to my internet connection. What in the world can I do? My whole life is on my phone. I need all the infor that is on iCloud. That was the whole purpose of me having it!

I am having trouble restoring my iphone 4 either through WI-FI or itunes. I keep getting the messages "unable to complete activation at this time" or because the "activation server is temporarily unavailable" Has anyone had this happen to him/her beofore?
Activation issues are almost always due to the phone being, or having been jailbroken.

I am having trouble restoring my iPhone. When I try to restore it, it says I need to update my iPhone first but I have already done so and my iPhone says it is currently up to date. I also just try and dowload the update again to just try it and it comes up with an error and won't finish everytime. Help please!
Also- another question, my iPhone will never finish syncing but will back up the phone. Just says "Waiting for changes to be applied."This is a simple solution that might help you too, I was having diffficulty restoring my iPhone 5 on the current iTuneson two different computers an iMac and a Macbook Pro, it was basically showing me the same error as you describe so I connected the Macbook Pro on my modem with a network cable!
1. Turn off the wi-fi
2.connect your Mac or other computer directly with the mode using ethernet (Network Cable)
3. Connect your iPhone
4. open iTunes and try restoring
That should work!
I found it very weird that none of the macs was able to restore it so I decided to try the cable solution and it worked!
I don't know it might be a bug in iTunes that prevent from restoring wirelesly!
I also find apple support is very problematic both online and in the stores!!! Unqulified techs everywhere, such a SHAME!!! -

Error 1015 means either you're trying to restore to an earlier iOS version, which is not supported, or you previously hacked the phone - jailbroken or iOS downgrade. In the later case, you can no longer restore or update.
