Trouble runnning Iphoto on two accounts on single computer

I am having trouble runnning Iphoto on two accounts on single computer. It works on my admin account but when i change accounts it no longer see's the photos. I have given the correct path for the second iphoto to find. Please help.

Yes, but what's the path? No app can 'see' inside another User's folder.
The recommended way to do this is to enable sharing in the Admin account iPhoto (preferences -> Sharing) and 'look for shared libraries' in the secondary account. Then leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to the second account. The shared library will appear in the Source Pane of the second iPhoto.
However, while the second user will be able to view the pics, and use them via drag and drop, he/she will not be able to modify them, keyword or import and have that work reflected in the Original library.
If you want that kind of accessibility, move the iPhoto Library Folder to the Shared Folder, set the appropriate permissions and point both iPhotos to it. Or put the iPhoto Library Folder on an external HD and set it to ignore permissions (in the Get Info Window).
However, this is not an intended use of iPhoto so beware. Only one user can open the library at a time, and there is a much increased likelihood database corruption. So, back up is vital.

Obvious question: If you want to have access to the same folders andapplications, why have two accounts? The point of different accounts is that you don't have access to the other person's data.
Any application in the HD/Applications folder is available in all accounts.
Sharing data between accounts depends on the material being shared. So, if you can provide more details we maybe able to help you better.

Iphoto over two accounts

Ok so I dont know if this question has been answered or if the solution is even possible but here's my problem.
- I got a macbook pro a little while back and at the time used our family Apple ID account to set it up thus haveing iphoto use that account for updates, my issue is that now that i got an iphone and want to enable photo stream with MY apple Id account. Is it possible to delete iphoto and re download it using my account onto the same computer without having to pay for it again?'

No need to delete it - the application typically would be available in all accounts - and PS is controlled by the Apple ID you log into iCloud with which need not be the same as the Apple ID you set the computer up with

Two accounts on one computer but only one itunes works

I used the directions for creating two user accounts on one computer when my son got a new itouch. I have an itunes account for my iphone. I then created a new user account and downloaded itunes to second account for son's itouch. I can't access itunes store from the new user account. My account for an iphone will access itunes store. When I click itunes store, the loading signal comes up at the top of the page as if loading but it never loads.
I have tried reinstalling? Updating quicktime.
Any idea what may be stopping the access? I use firefox as the default for my account but have not loaded it onto the new account.... could that be a problem?

Possibly it registered incorrectly once (who knows why), and now it thinks that is the right way. From what I understand all of the correct songs are still on your iPod though. In iTunes, single click on the incorrectly named iPod, then click again (kinda a delayed double click), then rename the iPod. From what I picked out of your post, they are both the same kind of iPod with the same amount of memory. If that's not the case, post back.

Iphoto and multiple accounts on same computer

I have two accounts/ users on my mac and each has an extensive iphoto library. I purchased iphoto Library Manager as suggesed. The problem is that when I am logged into Account A it cannot see the library in account B. I created a new library and merged account/user B photo library but when logged into Account A it still does not see the default library for B or the newly created library. I'm going in circles and racing the clock to back up and prior to convertingsystem to Lion by end of June. Any help out their?

Yes I want to merge them. I went to account B moved new library to Users shared and then went back to account A and clicked on harddrive symbol/ users/shared and I do not see it. I do see the two accounts listed separately. This all started by combining office and home computer into one.

I recently discovered that my teenage daughter had created her own iTunes account on my computer and we have been purchasing songs via that iTunes account. I would like to delete that account but not lose the songs. Is there a way to consolidate these accounts and the songs into the one account?

You can copy them to a different iTunes library, yes. But they'll still have to be authorized through the iTunes Store account under which they were purchased.
Note, just in case I've misunderstood what you were asking, that you can merge iTunes libraries; that is, you can copy tracks from anywhere on the computer or from another computer and put them all into one iTunes library. But you cannot change the iTunes Store account under which purchased content is authorized; you have to use the account ID and password under which the content was originally purchased and there's no way to change that.

Okay, here's the situation I hope someone can help resolve.
My wife and I have two separate iTunes accounts and currently we are having a hard time putting music on our iPods and plugging them into our iPod docking station/speakers. Sometimes I use her iPod Nano and sometimes she uses my iPod Classic, sometimes vice versa. The problem is that every time we switch iPods and sync with our computer it removes all the songs that the other person put on the iPod (because the iPod was synced to another computer/account).
Is there a way to merge accounts or authorize both of our computers to recognize both accounts so that we don't have to remove the other person's songs every time we sync our iPods?

You can also look into manual, rather than automatic, syncing of the iPod. It has its pros and cons, but it does allow you to keep the songs. Read up in iTunes Help.

Okay, there are two accounts on one computer, and my account is the main one though ever since, I've been having issues with downloading new songs and apps onto my iPod touch. Not only that but now all of my music's gone from my library. How can I fix it?

Has anyone ever had this problem before? I would love some advice on how to restore my library with all my music. I have 841 songs on my iPod touch and yet my iTunes library on my account says I have none, ever since my sister made her account on my laptop and some of her songs have gotten on mine (the main) account. Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

Firefox will not open at all, no message , nothing. The other browser (internet explorer) opens fine. Do I delete the old program and reinstall it? It works fine on the other two accounts on this computer.

Using iPhoto library by two accounts on the same computer

I have tried to use iPhoto across two accounts on the same computer using the fast switching.
I have found that i could access the iPhoto library by opening the app with the option key down and pointing the user to the library in the primary account.
the library shows up in the second account, but no longer in the primary account.
since it would be better and more useful for me to have the library show up in the primary account, now I cannot switch back.
the app finds the library OK from the secondary user, but not for the primary.
i just get a message that the photos are loadig, left it for three hours, and nothing loaded. the library appears to be intact.
I can point the primary user app to the backup disk and see all of the photos there, but don't know what to do to bring things back to normal here.
