Trouble Saving Songs

Im saving audio files from garage band by sharing them or saving to disk.. its seems that every time i do this there is an extra 4 seconds added on to each song i make. I need an exact ending when the instruments end because i am sampling these audio files during live performances. Anyone know how to get rid of this extra time added on? Thanks!

Random Saved Songs/Albums not playing

About a quarter of my saved songs and albums are not playing back on desktop spotify, Windows 8.1. This is not a sound settings issue, as other albums are playing fine. These songs/albums are not grayed out, they are still officially on spotify. I click play, and the play button switches to a pause button, but no sound comes out and the track time does not progress. I have double-checked my firewall and sound settings and performed a clean installation three times. After the first clean re-install, I was able to play one of the songs that had been broken, but testing a different track still failed, and then the original successful track was broken again too. It appears to be a random distribution of tracks, and not specific to any one artist. These tracks play without error on the Android app.

Well I figured this out on my own- it turns out all of the songs I was having trouble with were songs I also had locally in iTunes, and Spotify was failing to play the local copy. I disabled everything in "Show Tracks from..." and now everything is playing normally.

The information below may be able to answer your questions about how to delete songs from your iPhone:
Deleting songs downloaded to your device
Tap the Music app.
Tap More > Songs at the bottom.
Scroll or search for the song you would like to delete from your device.
Swipe right to left on the song, and then tap Delete.
Note: You must be in Artists, Songs, or Albums view to delete songs from your device. Deleting from a playlist won't remove a song from your iOS device.

Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
If you have iOS 7, this will delete the song from local storage, but the song will still appear with a cloud symbol in the Music app, as you've noticed. To hide the iTunes in the Cloud purchases, navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and disable "Show All: Music”
There may be a few orphaned songs on your iPhone that were partially downloaded or corrupted in some way. If that is the case, you can erase all of the music from your phone. Follow the instructions below and select the Music app under Usage:

Having trouble saving tiff files to server

Hi all,
I'm having trouble saving tiff files to our server (a mac pro running OSX 10.5.7 client not server). I get the error message 'could not save "filename" because write access was not granted. The disk in question is set to ignore permissions and the other 3 Macs on the network have no problems.
Bizarrely this only seems to happen when saving as a Tiff file, I can save as JPEG without issue! The file will usually save after a few attempts, sometimes six or seven save as' are needed.
This problem comes and goes, but at the moment its pretty bad.
This is becomming very frustrating as Tiff is our prefered format and we work as a team so have to save to the server.
Any ideas?

Just to expand on Buko's correct ansswer, this is the boilerplate text I use in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please cease and desist immediately in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files. Working across a network is not supported.

Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work. It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

I'm having trouble saving my file in adobe acrobat pro 9. When I attempt to save I get message saying,"Bad File Handle". There are several pictures on this file I'm trying to save...dont know if that has anything to do with the problem, just thought it would be helpful information. I am having a similar problem with a simple pdf form. I have made several changes to the pdf and when I go to save, I get the message that I can't save the file due to a "bad file handle." I have opened, altered, saved, and closed the form several times before, just not now. No one else was working on the form. The file format is still a pdf and nothing has changed.

Trouble saving a pdf from In Design with Illustrator files linked.

I have trouble saving a pdf from In Design. Most of the files i've linked are Illustrator files with size up to 70mb.
I am getting out of memory message The In Design file isn't that big - about 9mb.

It did not help to close and reopen it.
Not sure what you mean with exporting in chunks but if you mean exporting page for page , so it didn't work either.
I think that i'll try to reduce the size of Illustrator files , but I 'm not sure what will be the optimum size for that In Design won't crush again.
Or maybe i should make the presentation in illustrator instead? It take some time to save pdf from illustrator when the original file is about 90mb, but still it works.

I have the same problem, but discovered I can 'gift' itunes. I can't update my itunes version because my operating system doesn't support it and I can't update my operating system because my laptop is too old. 2008. have rebooted, retried, done all I can think of... still not working. Having trouble saving as .doc format

I am having real trouble saving any edited documents to .doc format. I am editting my CV and it is obviously neccessary for it to be compatible with microsoft office so I save a copy as .doc but as I edit it and go to resave as .doc it does not save the changes, when I go back into it the document has reverted back to my last copy of my CV.

No charges here .
The first thing that comes to mind is that your understanding of how this works may not match the way Pages does this. You'll use either File > Export > Word... or Share > Export > Word... . Neither will update a previously exported document unless you choose the same filename for the second export as for the first, and then override the warning.

Regarding saving songs vs. projects

Hi,
I am a pianist. I am trying to create some 'ear training' type excersises to then throw in my iPod and listen to. Each "song" would be approx. 5 minutes...basically a single chord played over and over throughout. There are 9 chord types, and 12 keys, so I'm going to need 108 of these 'songs'.
I am planning on just creating these initial 9 songs in the key of C, then transpose them for the other keys using the transpose function.
How should I save these songs? As separate SONGS or PROJECTS? I am just using a Piano Sound in Logic.
Can somebody suggest the easiest, most organized way to do this? And then, is bouncing easy as heck?

OK lets get some terminology straight here
song..... Main Logic file, containing all MIDI events and parameter settings (including mixer automation data) plus information about the audio files to be played.
project..... In Logic, the top-level folder that holds all media associated with a song, including audio files, Sampler Instruments and samples, Video and Settings of various kinds.
bounce’s....... these are all the different versions of your song. So to save space and time, you are only creating one song, but you will have 108 versions of it
OK, saving songs vs projects
if you save a song in the main logic song folder, lets call it the common folder for all logic songs, all other data associated with that song will also be kept in common folders with info about all the songs in your common song folder. So if you have many songs you are going to have a lot of information in these folders. And if you need to look at that data some time in the future, you may not remember what is what
Now if you save your song as a project, all info about that song is going to be in the project folder associated with that song alone, separated from all other data. All info in one place. This is handy for guys like me who do a lot of different projects with a lot of different people. Also when it comes time to trash a song, all related material is trashed at the same time, clearing hard drive space. It all comes down to how you like to organize your work space
now even though you have created a song and saved it, you can still save it as a project. It will ask you if you want to move certain files or copy the files to your new projects folder. Move everything except sampler instruments, copy them. that way they stay in the right folder for your next project.
you don’t need separate songs or projects. it will be one song, one project, many variations (all the different keys) all bounced down to your projects bounce folder.
Doesn’t that sound nice and tidy? when you need it later it will all be in one place

Trouble saving pdf - adobe reader X

Does anyone else have trouble saving some PDF files? I'm looking at academic papers and certain databases have PDF files that will let me open and print them, but I can't save them to my computer. Please help!

Is anybody else having trouble deleting songs off their iPhone using ios7?

What sort of "troubles" are you having? It might be that the songs you're seeing are stored in the cloud and not on the phone
try Settings>Music and turn show all music off and see if you can delete after that

Trouble saving encrypted PDF to MAC

I am having trouble saving my EStatement to my computer - but only when I try to "save as" to my home MAC. I don't have any trouble saving the exact same EStatement it to my work PC (without having to enter any password). I have saved several EStatements in the past from the same source to my MAC without having to ever enter a password. Now when trying to save the PDF EStatement to my MAC a window pops up asking for a password from owner. Apparently it in encrypted BUT ONLY WHEN I TRY TO SAVE IT TO MY MAC. Any ideas?

Figured it out. I needed to open the download in ADOBE on not save it from Preview.

I have no knowledge of the Android OS. I do have an iPod and its OS iOS is not really comparable my Windows OS. The iPod does mount as a dive on windows and the iPod camera roll is accessible. The jpes images can be copied to my pc. However the PC does not have access to the iOS file system even apple user don't have real access the iOS file system. Image need to be synced between the iPod and PC through iTunes sync. Itunes messes with your PC images and creates some sort of image database and syncs that database between PC and Apple mobile devices. There are also apps that help you share file between PC and Apple mobile devices. I have no idea how files are shared between PC Operating Systems platform versions and Android OS versions. Photoshop may not be able to save to Android files system. Photoshop Can not save to Apple mobile devices. Photoshop may be able to save to Apple's Mac unix file system through some form of network share.

Has anyone had trouble saving their pictures on their iphone 4S? Recently I cannot save anything, nor can I edit or share.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
