Trouble seeing Details for Traditional DAQ functions

I am migrating an applications from Tradtional DAQ to DAQmx and am having trouble in LV 8.6 in seeing the "Details" for the Traditional DAQ Functions. I have looked at the Traditional DAQ Users Manual online & a few other pubs and cannot find a good, detailed, explanation of the input and output parameters to the functions. Can anyone help me out?

In talking with Kent Lau, an Apps Engineer at NI, I was told I was missing the nidaq.chm file for some reason. Even after trying the reinstall the Traditional DAQ drivers from the Q4, 2008 software distribution, it was still not found. So, I installed an older version of the drivers on a computer which had never had LabVIEW, then copied the nidaq.chm file over to the LabVIEW 8.6\Help folder & was able to then see the Traditional DAQ function Details. Thank you Kent!!

I am working with 2 databases , 1 is oracle and the other is sybase in my java application.
The java application gets data from both the databases and creates 3 output files and 1 audit log file .
Now i tried creating the jar file
my manifest file looks like this :
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Sealed: true
Main-Class: tableA
Class-Path:jtds-1.2.jar;classes12.jar ----------------------------> is this correct .
Now when i try to create the jar file it gives me an err

export -> selecting JAR file -> selecting 1 and 3 rd checkboxes ->location of the jar file -> next->selecting 2 checkboxes in JAR PACKAGING OPTIONS -> ( my question is how to create the manifest file with class-path , their is no option ) so i am creating the manifest file and creating the jar file and then adding the class-path to the manifest file and removing the jar file and recreating the jar file now selecting the manifest file .
is this giving the above error --> if so how to create the manifest file before creating the jar file with class-path and main class

Need help in converting Traditional DAQ subvis to DAQmx configuration

i need to convert these vis (of traditional NI DAQ) to be used with a new DAQ card that supports only NI DAQmx.
please help me in this..
Can i use the same traditional NI DAQ VIs with NI PCI 6221?? if so how can I? does this device can be configured for traditional NI DAQ???

NI has several resources to help move from tradtional DAQ to DAQmx. A good place to begin is the Getting Started page. There is a tutorial on how to transition. There is also the compatability VIs that replace certain traditional DAQ functions with wrappers around DAQmx functions. The DAQ example you posted is pretty trivial and really should not take much time to convert once you get a basic understanding of DAQmx.

Traditional DAQ on LV2009?

Hi,
after doing an installation of LV2009 and it's DeviceDrivers I missed the traditional DAQ functions... Even trying to re-install (or update) the traditionalDAQ didn't work.
So:
Is TradDAQ support dropped starting from LV2009? I couldn't find information on this in the upgrade notes...
Possible workaround:
Described here: Working in the opposite direction as described I copied the files from my LV8.6 to the LV2009 folder...

NI-DAQ Function Reference Online Help, Version 6.6

First, I saw on the National Instruments Home Page that the PDF version of
the Function Reference Manual has been discontinued in favor of the Online
Microsoft Help format version. I really prefer the PDF because it prints
much nicer. Looking at the monitor as many hours as I do is unnerving and I
find the paper relaxing. The Microsoft Help format is better for searching
however. I would be much happier if both versions were kept in production
by National Instruments. (And even happier yet if they gave us developers
free hardback editions )
Second, I was discouraged to find that v6.6 of the document (NI-DAQ Function
Reference Manual for PC Compatibles) does not list the DAQCard-AI-16E-4
under the
options for "NI-DAQ Functions Listed by Hardware Product." I
thought the DAQCard-AI-16E-4 was a popular product and I assume it still
supports the same functions in 6.6 that is did in the earlier versions. Why
was it left out? Can I still use the info for the same topic in the 6.5
PDF?
For the last part of my documentation gripes, in Appendix B for v6.5 under
"Valid Internal Analog Input Channels" the DAQCard-AI-16E-4 is listed in the
second block and the last block. The set of command is different for each
block so I looked in the v6.6 which lists only the first block and I went
with that. Is the appearance of DAQCard-AI-16E-4 in the last block on the
v6.5 doc a typo or does it have significance?

PCI-6024E Traditional DAQ Control

I made the attached VI "Digital IO Testing" using the DAQ assistant. I want the traditional DAQ equivalent to turn these specific digital output channels to high/low.
How can this be accomplished. I have no idea what a port/group/line/etc is. The help menus for traditional daq is confusing me....

Yes, they will. You can find this information in the ReadMe for Traditional DAQ v7.4.4 (the newest and final version). It doesn't specify the C commands, but they work with the same hardware that the LabVIEW VIs do.

I have my assets from an older site, and want to start a site desktop site in muse. Is there a program ( maybe a book ) that can walk me through this step by step, instead of the Katie's Cafe demo / tutorial?
The problem with the tutorial is in the dark interface I have trouble seeing the small icons for the program functions.
I really need to setup a new site as soon as possible, but am not getting there right now.

Report for Posting Rule details for Functions/items

Is there a standard program in SAP to take a report or listing of extract in MS Excel of the posting rule details configuration settings in SAP-JVA. I am fairly certain there is a program to extract the details in Excel but I am not sure what is the name of that program and how to use it. I appreciate any ABAP programmer or expert can guide me how to go about this listing.

In order to do postings in JVA, we create posting methods and under that Posting method we have to create and configure posting rules. Under the posting method, there are SAP JVA processes or functions and function items that are used to create the posting rules. The posting rules details are specified for each function and function item combination and involve the specification of Recovery indicator along with posting keys, SE indicator and billing indicator.
I am not convinced that the standard codes in my system for posting keys, recovery indicators and billing indicators are exactly the same as the default settings and I need to check it along with the posting rule details.
Please see the screenshots attached to give you an idea. I am looking for an ABAP program or report program to take out a listing of these posting rules details from the system.

Where do I find the NI-DAQ function list for a specific card.

I trying to find a reference where I look up a card ID and it lists the NI-DAQ functions that work FOR THAT CARD ONLY!
Example: The PXI-4472 DSA card shows that it supports STC timer/counter functions (like GPCTR_Control()) when you search by card in NI-DAQ Help. But in reality, none of the functions work correctly, even though the function call doesn't return a status error.
Is there a place to find an accurate cross-reference so I don't keep programming my card thinking it's working correctly when it's not?

Hopefully I can clear up your question. DAQmx is designed to work across all E-Series, DIO, and DSA boards with the same VIs. Traditional DAQ sometimes needs separate VIs for separate boards which can become rather confusing and thus one reason for the driver redesign.
There are some exceptions with the DSA boards though.
The 4472 uses the DAQ-STC chip just as you mentioned, but the full functionality of the counters are not available as they are with E-Series boards.
There are a few things to keep in mind.
#1) The STC has two counters, 0 and 1. If you synchronize 4472s, you will only be able to use counter 1. The driver claims counter 0 for special trigger delay operations.
#2) The 4472 counters have no physical connections to the "o
utside world." The EXT TRIG pin on the 4472, sometimes called PFI0, cannot be used to do anything with the counters. It cannot be a gate or source for the counter. The only pins you can use for gate, source, or output on the counters are the RTSI lines. This certainly limits the utility of the counters.
#3) Because so few customers have expressed a need for it, we have removed DSA counter access in DAQmx. If you program the 4472 (or 4461) in DAQmx, the DAQ-STC counters will not be available at all.
The DAQ-STC was included on the 4472 for some timing and triggering functionality aside from the counters (similiar to some of the jobs it performs on the E series cards). The counters are really an afterthought that came along with the chip.... they are not at all the primary reason for the STC being there.

Which traditional daq example will be best for thermocouple temp measurements?

i have a PCI 4351 card connected to a TBX 68T connector block which is used to measure the temp using thermocouples. it uses an analogue input from the thermocouples, but the card is only compatible with traditional daq programming.
i have looked at the example finder, and under the folder 'Hardware and software' click the sub folders 'traditional daq', then click 'analogue input' and finally click the 'general' sub folder and you will see a list of example vi's, if you have the traditional daq installed. but i do not know which will be of great benefit to my work. please help.
does anyone know of a good example that i can use and relate to my work and devices? it would be of great help as i am new to daq.

Hi Notay!
Sorry about that, thos sub Vi's are part of the analog in library of daq. Most likely you will only need the traditional daq driver and the correct configuration of your hardware. Im attaching the VI's, keep me updated of your results and if you need something else let me know.

read/write/delete/append/create directory rights as an FTP user for
the FTP home directory. If not give the same and try creating the

If someone from the outside world send an email to a non-exisitant email address at my domain, an NDR is sent out with an attachment named "Returned Mail: See Transcript for details". This transcript includes the IP of my frontend Exchange server. Is there anyway to block this information from being included in the transcript?
