Trouble seeing video

Hey guys, I'm stuck and didn't know where else to go.
I shot a video using the JVC GYHD110 in 720p-24p. I edited in the HDV-720p24 settings. When all was said and done I exported a .Mov, again, using the HDV 720p24 settings and it played just fine. I take my drive home from where I edited (on a dual-core G5) and hook it up to my personal powerbook. I click the file and Quicktime tells me I need to download additional support to view the video. I have audio, but the video is just a white screen.
I have the newest version of Quicktime and don't know what I could possibly be missing. Everything was rendered when I exported and all the source media was on the drive, so it's not like I left anything on the G5. In fact, if I go back to the editing lab and hook the drive up to a different G5 (not the same one I edited on), it'll play just fine.
I just need to get this footage on a DVD. Help!

It's interesting that you mention that about tagging. All of the other switches in the network (3750X's) are setup in the same fashion (untagged traffic using Vlan 1) and yet the cameras and archivers communicate just fine. The 3750 network uses EIGRP for routing but I would think the SF302 would communicate OK with static routing. Strangley enough, I reconfigured port 2 on the SF302 to Vlan 100, connected a laptop and was still unable to PING the camera in Vlan 302 connected to port 1. I assumed when I switched the SF302 to Layer 3 mode, it would behave similar to a layer 3 switch. In the end, I added v302 to the uplinks and everything starting communicating. I'm still a little confused about how the SF302 functions. I realize it has a limited feature set but I need to better understand how it functions at layer 3. Thanks.

Can't see video in canvas window on my video Monitor!

I am having trouble seeing the video that is in my canvas and viewer Window on my video monitor. I Have firewire in to my DV Deck and S-video into my monitor. I can see when I play back at DV tape and everything digitizes ok so I know the firewire isn't bad. I have checked the Audio/Video settings and everything seems right with what the manual says to have. Am I missing something somwhere?

Define "trouble." Can you not see it, or its it just difficult to see? Do you see it only when the playhead is paused? Have you checked to make sure View->External Video->All Frames is checked?

For some reason, all of my emails are getting stuck in my outbox when my gmail account is installed on my phone. When I delete it, my emails get sent automatically. This is really annoying! I would do without the gmail account, but I need to share calendars with my husband. How do I fix this?

How do i see video clips already imported in to an event?
I have already created and shared one movie project from the clips and from photos but now want to make another. However, when i go to the library it only shows me the content of the first project, including the photos, not all of the video clips i originally imported. I can't believe that I need to import them all again.

It seems to me that you must have imported your clips using iMovie 9, (that's why they are all in the Events folder which belongs to iMovie 9). Then you must have upgraded your current project to iMovie 10 which will have put the clips used in that project (but not all the others) into your iMovie 10 library. iMovie 10 has a totally different storage arrangement for media. You should be able to update your other iMovie 9 projects by choosing File > Update Projects and Events in iMovie 10. See: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.0.8/#/mov902ad0c31
This does not stop you from continuing to use the projects in iMovie 9 though any further editing you do will not be transferred to the other version of iMovie.

TS4062 I can't see videos I have taken on my ipad either in iCloud or when I sync my ipad to my macbookpro (both are up to date) I can only see photos? The videos are only few seconds long?

I can't see videos i have taken on my ipad in the iCloud all synced as i can see the still photos i have taken but not the videos. The videos are only a few seconds long. I have also tried syncing via USB cable from iPad to my Macbookpro and it wont sync either the photos or the videos in iTunes I have re checked the sync set up in itunes bt still nothing?
Any ideas would be appreciated

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

I appologize for the font and colour, I compossed the question in pages and failed to notice the font colour as grey ... there are a variety of computers of various ages so I think it is using a setting that allows both 5G and 2.4 ... the connection to the Airport is thru a cable modem and cable does run throuhout the house ... maybe those hard wires would be a place to look at ... do you think that putting the 'Express' on the second floor might help ... thanks again ...

I'm having trouble with video imported from my camera memory card.The video breaks up and pixelizes when it's directly imported from the memory card. That makes the video useless. Why does this happen? It doesn't do that in any other video editing software. Thanks for the help.

Unable to See Videos files In Blackberry 8830

Hello Everyone
I am trying to upload videos into Blackberry using the Blackberry Desktop Manager software from videos
Section of Media Option.
While i sync the video after setting the Check Option , it is taking considerable time to convert? and upload the videos.
But as soon as i disconnect and see videos in the blackberry , There is not a single video listed there
though it is clearly visible whenever i connect the memory card alone Or BB to Desktop Manager
Not sure what is happening , Please help me

Hi axsuri,
Are you able to see other media files on the BlackBerry that are stored on your media card? Can you access these videos on the BlackBerry by opening the Media folder, clicking the Menu key and choosing Explore?

Can't see video with airplay

I'm trying to stream HBO GO from my iPad to my TV. I hear audio on the TV but don't see video. Am I missing a setting?

I have the same problem. Cannot get video thru AppleTV from my Iphone4 or my Ipad. The AppleTV is enabled for Airplay. Any suggestions?

Using Safari I can't see video, In CNN I get the message that Apple restrict the use of Flash Player, but in other sites, which do not use Flash player I can't see the video as well, for example- http://harim.tv/default.asp?categoryid=0&videoid=317&srchq=&page=1 . The same problem in different pages having video attached, in the window of the video there is a cube shape.
Is there an add-on to Safari that has to be installed to make it working?
I would like to add, YouTube is working fine.

What Video Codec are Your material formatted as ?
And the problematic Video sequence - Same Video Codec ?
Open each original movie sequense in QuickTime player
then press cmd+I (or open Inspector) and read
- Video formatted as : nnnnnnnnnnnnn
- Frames per second : YY.yy
What does they say for the material that works - AND for the movie that are troublesome ?

Can't see video from youtube

I can't see video from youtube when the video is embedded in a page.
I am using Safari (italian version) 6.0.2 (8536.26.17).
When I click on the arrow, the system show me the following error message: "Unbale to load the video".
With Firefox that's all OK.
Please, help me to solve the problem.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Test.

Trouble Uploading Videos To iPod Nano via iTunes

I am having trouble uploading videos to my new iPod Nano (4th Gen? The new Nano-chromatic one). I have the latest iTunes version (iTunes 8), and have followed all the Help topics related to this problem. When I have converted the video (which i have downloaded to my computer from a DVD I have purchased of the TV Series "Black Books") to the iPod friendly format (following the advice from the iTunes Help section) I then try to 'click and drag' the converted movie file into my iPod under the Devices heading, a window pops up saying:
""BLACK_BOOKS Movie 01" was not copied to the iPod because it cannot be played on this iPod."
This confuses me as all the tech specs about the new iPod nanos say that they are able to play videos. And considering as how I have converted the file to one supposedly supported by the iPod I do not understand why it can't be copied to, and then played by my iPod.
I have followed all the Help sections as suggested and the problem is still NOT resolved.
Can anyone help?

I had the same problem.
First you need to download handbrake http://handbrake.fr/?article=download
Then run the file through it, and the output file will work with your chromatic.
