Trouble Sending MMS to T-Mobile

I have searched the forums seeing if this has been asked or answered before but couldn't find anything, so I am going to ask here. I have noticed that if I send videos to anyone using a T-Mobile phone sometimes they get the video and other times they don't. I have tested whether or not it had anything to do with being on Wi-Fi when I send it or 3G when I send it, neither makes a difference. From there I decided to test the length of the video and whether that had an effect. 60 seconds won't send, 45 seconds and lower will. So today I sent a 45 seconds video but she never got it. Is it something to do with the phone she is using? Sometimes she gets the videos and sometimes she doesn't. Any help would be great!
Peace.Love.Math

any ideas on how i can fix this?
If it's a network problem only O2 or T-Mobile could fix it. But you could try restarting or restoring your phone.
or at least find out if people are actually able to read my messages!?
Call them and ask?!

This also happened to me after update to IOS 6. So probably it is cause your email outgoing stopped to work.
So check your outgoing settings and you probably will solve the issue.

  • Trouble sending MMS on LG Spectrum

Whether I try to send a picture captured from the camera, one from the gallery or forward one that I've received as an MMS message, it says it's sending for many, many minutes, then finally I will get an error message saying that it couldn't send, the file is too large.  I then have to shrink the picture down to about 16k before it will send; and even then it's hit or miss.
None of my friends/family seem to have this kind of trouble sending pics or videos.
I called the help desk and the tech reviewed my account, made a change or two to something, but it's still doing it.
    Any help would be appreciated!

        Hi candbbrown88,
I realize the joy in sharing the precious moments captured by pictures and I am here to help! When did the problem begin? Are you using a 3rd party messaging application? Do you experience this issue with all contacts or specific contacts? Try this, go Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Camera>Clear Data/Cache. Repeat, these steps for "My Gallery" as well. This will not remove your pictures from the device. I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.^AB

  • Trouble sending MMS messages.

Recently it seems that people are not able to receive my MMS picture messages. I have an iPhone 3GS. I can receive theirs just fine. No red exclamation mark comes up with mine, it says it was sent just fine and I don't know that it was not received until I ask if they got it, to which they say no. It did work sending to my moms phone, but her phone was on the same wireless network as mine at the time. I can get pictures from pretty much any type of phone. I've tried sending pictures to other Iphone 3GS for 4 on AT&T and it does not work. It has not always done this, I've sent pictures before just fine. My AT&T plan is unlimited so that should not be the problem.

This is not a problem with your iPhone. As with email, after an SMS or MMS is successfully sent with your iPhone or with any cell phone, what happens to the message after that has nothing to do with the phone used to send the message.

  • Can't send mms, telling me mobile data not turned on

I have went to my att and check to make sure data was enabled on my phone (samsung galaxy s5 active) & yes it was. We have 4 devices on 3G shared rollover. I have unchecked box for Smart WiFi. I have followed these instructions http://nerdynerdnerdz.com/2239/att-apn-mms-settings-android/. And between each and every change I made I rebooted my phone. So why hasn't any of these fixes worked for me?

  • Cannot send MMS on Xperia Z1S

    Hi!
I am new to this forum
All day today I have been having trouble sending MMS [picture messages] messages. I cannot send any photos to anyone. It immediately says "could not send" with the red SMS notification. I have tried turning on and off the phone repeatedly, turning on and off my WIFI, and nothing has worked. I even tried sending myself a picture and it fails. The only thing I can think of is I had my phone on my STAMINA mode from last night to this morning for the first time. I tried the mode because I kept getting a notification saying I should use it, and I tried it. But then this morning I couldn't send any MMS this morning. I took it off and it still won't allow me to send any MMS.
How can I fix this? I send a lot of MMS and I am pretty shocked at this.

The Dutch site has a help for setting up mms settings. I cannot find that on usa site.
T-Mobile has a service to send all the correct settings as sms, so that you configure it with one press on a message, but this seems unavailable on Sony devices (I think only on apple/samsung/blackberry).
I cannot find a mms settings help on your region:
    support.t-mobile.com/community/phones-tablets-devices/android/sony-xperia-z1s/content
But i do have a link from the Dutch site. But their config is different from what uliwooly wrote above.(possibly because it's for Dutch users)
I'll deeplink to start of mms settings, step by step. (volgende = next in Dutch) it has a good to understand animation:
    www.t-mobile.nl/toestelhulp#/sony/c6903-xperia-z1/mms/usecase/handmatig-instellen/2
(use googletranslate if nessesary (Dutch to English)
Best way is to call t-mobile in your country and verify the settings of Uliwooly above this posting.

  • Cant send mms messages over 25kb

I am with A T and T and have a blackberry curve 8310.  I just now started having trouble sending mms messages most notably pictures that are larger than 25kb in size.  I have unlimited everything on my plan.  Can someone help?

I do believe the hard cap is around 300kb for AT&T, and I know i routinely send those near that mark. Have you done a battery pull on your device to see if that resolves your issue? With the device powered ON, remove the battery for 10 seconds then put it back in. Let it boot normally and give it a go.
If you are the original poster (OP) and your issue is solved, please remember to click the "Accept as Solution" button so that others can more easily find it. If anyone has been helpful to you, please show your appreciation by clicking the Star on the left of their post.

  • I cant send mms since i updated to ios 8 with wind mobile

i cant send mms since i updated to ios 8 with wind mobile

    Hey beastlyhippo,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you are having trouble with MMS messages. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
If you can't send and receive MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
    An iPhone 3G or later
    iOS 3.1 or later
A cellular data connection (MMS isn't available if you're using only Wi-Fi)
A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You might need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact (Contact your carrier for more information.)
A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network that is different from your billing cellular provider's network (Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.)
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps
Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you're roaming on a cellular provider network that is different from your billing provider's network.
Make sure that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar of your iPhone.
Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
Make sure that you can send and receive SMS. If you can't send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above. MMS might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
    Restart your iPhone.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
Remove your SIM card and insert it again.
If you still can't send or receive MMS, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you're sending a group message.
Make sure that you're using the area code with the contact's phone number. When you send messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
If you're using a "Pay as you go" MMS plan, make sure it has enough available balance. If you're unsure of your MMS plan or available balance, contact your carrier.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact from the Contacts app. Send a new message to the new contact.
Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process might not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
Contact your carrier to verify that you're provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
Contact your carrier to verify that there aren't blocks or filters on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
Your carrier might require modified APN settings to use MMS.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Mario

  • Can't send mms unless I'm on mobile data

I am mainly on my wifi at home and if I want to send or receive an mms message I have to turn on mobile data. I had the rezound before this phone and it would do it automatically. Is there a way to do it automatically on my note 3 without having to turn my mobile data on?

MMS requires a mobile data connection to send/receive unless you are using Verizon Messages.

  • I have the iPhone 6 plus. I have no troubles sending picture and text messagings but cannot receive picture messagings from anyone. Pic messages thru iMessage works just fine. I have t-mobile. Please help.

I have the iPhone 6 plus. I have no troubles sending and receiving text messages. I can also send pic messages but I cannot receive them. I have T-mobile and have been calling them for the past 2 months but the issue hasn't been resolved. Anyone has a similar issue, please help.

    Hello Soccergump,
For issues with sending and receiving text messages, take a look at the article below to continue your troubleshooting. You may need to sign out of iMessage and sign back in as well as resetting the network settings. One other thing to check is to make sure that your friends did not get blocked from being able to send you messages.

  • Trouble sending or receiving mms, sms and iMessage pictures

This is more of a tip than a question. My wife recently got an iPhone 4 and we had some problems with her appleID, which is what I think led to the problems with iMessage. I attempted first to reset the network settings, as well as following others advice of disabling iMessage, resetting network settings and then reenabling iMessage, but nothing helped. I could not send her a mms from my Android phone, nor could I send a photo from iMessage from my iPad. She also had trouble sending sms to other iPhone users. Something clued me in to her phone number as is it associated with her appleID. She had an appleID from before she got her iPhone, when we were living in the US. Turns out the country code and country setting in her appleID were still set for the US. After changing everything to our current country of residence, I did the turn off iMessage, reset network settings and reenable iMessage routine, and then everything started working normally.
    TL:DR
Check your appleID profile country settings, country code and phone number.
Disable iMessage, reset network settings, reenable iMessage. Good luck!
Thanks to eveyone else who has contributed troubleshooting advice here, and I hope my experience helps other people with their problems.

  • Trouble sending group texts

having trouble sending and receiving group texts on iphone 4 running ios7. also having difficulty seending photo messages.

I'm really sorry for this inconvenience with your group messages ba6yd1n0! Group Messages go through as MMS, (Multi Media Messages), which can only be transferred through our Mobile Network. They cannot be processed over WiFi. This is why you're getting this error. Regular messages, (texts/SMS), can be sent/received via WiFi, as you mentioned.
I hope this helps clarify what's going on.
