Trouble setting link prop. for a slice
Hi there, new to fireworks (sortof) have been playing with it on and off and I am now trying to be dedicated to it wholely.
I am able to set links for some of my slices and can not on otheres. On the same page too. It just wont stick, when I click out of it, it loses the link property.
Cant figure it out. Help plz

Make sure the slice is a foreground image slice, and that you have the slice selected.

Trouble setting AD attribute for UserAccountControl
I am trying to set UserAccount Control value to 262658 so that Account is disabled and Smart card is required are checked.
But for some reason the user is getting created the useraccount control value is not updating.
This is simply what I am doing

Just a background on this. I am creating a user with all the other attributes updated and then checkin the user view then set user as disabled. After that is done I am doing a checkout and then setting the accountControl Value as above and then checkin the view.
Please let me know if you have any idea why I can't set the accountcontrol value.

Trouble setting time zone for new location in networking
When I try to set a time zone for a new location it sets this as the time zone for all locations. I must be missing something. Any suggestions?

Have a laptop pc. having trouble setting up account for the cloud. can some one tell me how to set up a account and where?

"To use iCloud, first set it up using your Apple ID on a device with iOS 5 or a Mac with OS X Lion."
You cannot create an iCloud account from a PC. -
I have trouble setting the trash mailbox behavior. I have had it set to delete the messages once a month. But lately it has been deleting my messages every 10 days. I have tried choosing different options to set the trash mailbox behavior but has not been successful. Is there anything I can do? Please help.

I linked through and submitted my info as a "topic not covered" in the iCloud section. After entering the serial number of my MBP it turns out I wasn't eligible for technical support (though I don't think this is hardware related support) and the final suggestion was to take my computer into an Apple store. I called my local Apple reseller and asked for assistance. The customer service rep was very nice but unable to help, so suggested I call Apple Support on 1300 321 456. I did so and, again, spoke to two very polite and helpful customer service people (I was transferred to security services). I didn't have to be on hold to speak to either rep for more than a few seconds! After trying a few different things, he worked out what was happening...
So, to cut a long story short, to solve the problem in my OP, all I had to do was log out of iCloud in my System Preferences and log back in using my current Apple ID. [Edited to add that I had to sign out of everything I was currently signed in to with my Apple ID before logging out and in again.]

Set link for main image in gallery
Hi, how do you set link to the main image in the photo
gallery? I was able to add photo caption using the
spry:detailregion but cannot do use the same method for the main
image because Spry won't allow nested div.
I saw a thread that talked about changing the SetMainImage
function but I've tried that it doens't seem to work. Can you show

When the Mac was setup you had to create an administrative password.and account. Yo have to sign into that account to install apps/plug-ins like Flash. To reset that password.

Set links for a PDF in Illustrator
I am setting up a multipage newsletter in Illustrator CS5 on a Mac. After saving as a PDF I have been using Acrobat Pro to go in and set links to go to the next page, home, websites, etc. It is getting cumbersome to have to redo all the links every time I have to make changes and generate a new PDF. It seems like I should be able to set these in Illustrator, but I can't seem to find anything that works. Has anyone tried anything like this? Thanks.
You are simply using the wrong tool. You really should consider InDesign, if PDF interactivity is required. You are not considering that artboards are just arbitrary tiles of a larger work canvas, not pages, so there is nothing persistent to establish a page logic on. The conversion to pages for PDF is jsut as arbitrary and only happens thne and there...

Acrobat X, where can we set the defualt for Open, Link?
Step 4, Open File, New Window or Within.... We would like to set NEW WINDOW as default. (Please see screen shot also)

Choose Tools > Content > Link. The pointer becomes a cross hair, and any existing links in the document, including invisible links, are temporarily visible.
Drag a rectangle where you want to create a link. This is the area in which the link is active.
In the Create Link dialog box, choose the options you want for the link appearance.
Select one of the following link actions:
Go To A Page View
Click Next to set the page number and view magnification you want in the current document or in another document (such as a file attachment), and then click Set Link.
Open A File
Select the destination file and click Select. If the file is a PDF, specify how the document should open (for example in a NEW WINDOW or within an existing window), and then click OK.
Note: If the filename is too long to fit in the text box, the middle of the name is truncated.
Open A Web Page
Provide the URL of the destination web page.
Custom Link
Click Next to open the Link Properties dialog box. In this dialog box, you can set any action, such as reading an article, or executing a menu command, to be associated with the link.

We see this when adding a link in a PDF.
Go to Tools, Content, Link. Highlight something, Creat Link, click Next. Pick somthing to Link too. Like another PDF and the Window in the first screen shot comes up.
I ran a Regshot and here are the results. Looks like all user keys which would be normal but there must be a way to set the default in the Preferences? This does not seem to be a setting that stays if you will so there must be something over-riding it. -
I am having trouble setting up my time capsule. the amber light is flashing. i have a Verizon FIOS network that i use for the internet (WiFi) and do not want to configure the Time Capsule to do that function. I just want the Time Capsule to back up.
Simple.. bridge the TC.. in the apple utility in the NAT and DHCP area.
Plug it into the FIOS router.. you can turn off wireless in the TC if you want.. or use it.. it can work faster if you are nearby and can select 5ghz.. but up to you. -
I am having trouble setting up my Yahoo! e-mail account on my phone...it asks for my Password and I type it in carefully and correctly, but I get an error window, "MF Message Error Domain error 1032" -what does this mean and how can I get around it? My password is long and convoluted, but it works when I type it in on my main Mac workstation, just fine.....what gives?

This is likely because you have the AirPort Extreme connected to a modem/router, or gateway device.....and not a simple modem. Can you provide the make and model number of your "modem", as we previously asked?

I want to set up the time capsule. I have a D-Link router for WiFi to laptops. Do I connect the time caps to the D-Link or in place of it? thanks
You've posted to the iPhone forum rather than the Time Capsule forum, but to save you some time, you can either replace your D-Link with it since it is a wireless N router, or you can set it up on your LAN as an additional wifi router with its own unique SSID. If you do the latter, be sure to connect your mac to the Time Capsule rather than your D-Link so it will support your Time Machine backups.

I am having trouble setting up icloud on MAC. In system preference it is listed as mobile me, it asks for member name and password. It also has a learn more button under "try mobileme for free". I am not getting anywhere
It's evident that you are using Snow Leopard or earlier (or very early Lion) since you have the now obsolete MobileMe preference pane.
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mountain Lion preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:
OS X v10.6.8 or later
2GB of memory
8GB of available space
and the supported models are:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)

If you are running Leopard on an Intel Mac you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to access the Mac App Store - it's available in the online Apple Store. However if you have a PPC Mac you cannot run Snow Leopard and cannot proceed further.
