Trouble setting up Outlook 2007 Calendar & Tasks with Icloud

When trying to set up Calendars & Tasks with outlook I keep getting the message "Restart Outlook with Mail enabled before turning on Calendars and Tasks or Contacts - You need to add your icloud Mail account to Outlook before Calendars & Tasks or Contacts can be set up."  I've set up the mail account as instructed.  Mail and Contacts have been transferred to Icloud, Calendars doesn't work.  When I click "OK" on this message to restart Outlook nothing happens.  Any idea what's going on?

We have this issue at our company as well.  We have Exchange 2010 on the back end, execs with latest-model iDevices (iOS 8.1.2, iPhone 6S, iPad Air, etc.)
These execs have several monthly and weekly recurring meetings. Sometimes, they will adjust one meeting up or down a half-hour.
If done on the CEO's iPhone, it does not change his iPad or Outlook. If on his iPad, it doesn't change iPhone or Outlook.
If done via Outlook, either by him or his executive assistant (delegate editor access to calendar), outlook updates but neither iPhone.
Our Exchange admins have verified that they see the updates go from Outlook clients to Exchange and out ActiveSync.
We finally have a SyncDiagnostics profile on the iDevices, but we have to wait for the execs to make meeting changes that don't sync.

  • Can't get Notes from Outlook 2007 to sync with iCloud

I have Outlook 2007 running on Windows 7 pc.  I have just upgraded to os5 on ipad 2 and iphone 4s.  Can't get Notes to sync between Outlook 2007 and the ipad or iphone.  Notes does sync between the ipad and iphone though.  I have set @me.com account as the default email account in outlook and icloud control panel worked with outlook and setup.  Calendar syncs between all three as it should.  Just can't get Notes to sync between icloud and outlook.  Does anyone know of a way to get this to work?

I fell your pain and no thereis no good solution to this nasty issue. However you can view your Outlooknotes on your iOS devices but I had to do a sync via PC iTunes and sync cable to each device (iPhone 4 and iPad 2) not a very good solution (no support for OTA iCloud sync, LAME!). Then when the Outlook notes arrive on my iOS device in the Notes app its under a separatefolder "From My PC". All notes generated on your iOS devices are in the folder [email protected] or iCloud folder.  Further more if you go to your iCloud webpage you will only see the notes you generated from your iOS devices (if youhave Notes sync turned on) and you can't edit them nor can you create new notes from the iCloud webpage interface! Extremely sad and downright terrible migration from Mobile Me.  These are simple text notes this should not be so difficult but Apple chose to treat them the same as email messages basically and made a flashy "Notes App" just like the new iOS 5 "RemindersApp" same thing.
If you’re like me and your looking to go away from your Outlook Notes and just want to put all notes into the Apple Notes then you need to use one of your iOS devices and manually cut and past the notes one at a time from your "From My PC" folder then create a new one on in your iCloud folder. This is also so darn ********! You should be able to select all do a copy then go to the iCloud folder and past, done (but you can't)! With hundreds of Notes collected over the years you’re not likely going to manually open each one select all, copy close and create a new note in the iCloud folder....  and by the way I'm not looking to load Evernot at this time so stop suggesting exporting my Outlook notes to Evertnote, this is not a solution to this issue.
    Apple are you listening!?

  • Outlook 2007 calendar - problems with recurring appointments

In general sync appears to work. However, when amendments are made to recurring appointments I am seeing two types of problem:
    1) If I DELETE one instance of a recurring appointment in Outlook it is not deleted on the iPad.
    2) If I AMEND one instance of a recurring appointment the revised appointment appears, but so does the original one (eg if the appointment was for 10:00-11:00 and I move it to 14:00-15:00 in Outlook for just one week I end up with appontments at both times on the iPad for that day.
In summary the iPad seems to have the simplistic view that recurring appointments will happen EVERY time period and doesn't seem to allow for the fact that there may be individual changes.
Is this a known bug or does this work correctly for other people?

  • Outlook 2007 , calendar issues with creating meetings  - any ideas?

    Hi All
My boss has a Mac and has installed office 2007. Configured Outlook to connect to our office exchange, all ok.
Now, to book meetings we use the resources field when added someone. This is not visble in the mac version of office.
Now, also a issues he has seen which I have witnessed, that if he creates a meeting via his Windows machine in outlook, as soon as he opens Outlook on his mac, all meetings become unbooked. They are still there, just all marked as provisional and hence what happens, he goes to the meeting, to only find the room booekd out to someone else as its only marked as provsional.
Any ideas, anyone else seen this?
    Cheers
    Scott

Since this is software issue with Outlook, and not one related to Macs or Mac OS, you should probably post your question on an Outlook forums:

  • Outlook 2007 Not syncing with icloud (ios5).

If I add or change a contact on my ipad or iphone they sync without issues.  If I merely update a change of information on my contact list from my iphone or ipad these changes make it to icloud just fine- but they do not sync with outlook on my PC.  I can make changes on outlook on my pc and they will make it to the cloud and onto my iphone & ipad.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Did you ever figure out what to do?  I am having the exact same issue.  All syncing between Outlook - Icloud - Iphone-Ipad work fine EXCEPT if I edit an original contact ON Icloud or any of my devices.  Those edits or changes sync on the devices and Icloud, but NOT back to Outlook.  A newly created contact or one that I've added after the initial download will sync everywhere fine.
It appears from other threads I've read that others are experiencing this also.  Anybody - any thoughts? Fixes? Ideas?
    Thanks

  • How to synchronize Outlook 2007 Calendar and Tasks with my iPhone through use of iCloud

How can I synchronize Outlook 2007 Calendar and Tasks with my iPhone through use of iCloud?

    Hello farar,
Thank you for the question.  It sounds like you are trying to synchronize your Outlook Calendar with your iPhone using iCloud.
If you have not setup iCloud, the following resource has steps you can take to set up iCloud on your computer and your iPhone:
iCloud -Learn how to set up iCloud on all your devices
    http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Once you have iCloud set up, you can enable the Calendar setting in the iCloud settings on both your computer and iPad to sync your Calendar events.  Use the following article for steps to enable this feature:

  • Outlook 2007 Calendar not syncing any more with Blackberry Bold

I am looking for possible causes to a problem that started some time over the last 2 weeks. My BB has been running 4.6.0.162 (put out by Rogers, my provider) and I'm using the 4.6 Desktop Manager.
Until then, whenever I'd sync my BB Bold with my Outlook 2007 Calendar (on Vista), everything (Calendar, Memo, Contacts & Tasks) would sync with no problems.
Since that time, (although I didn't realize it at first) calendar appointment items that were entered on one side would not be synced on the other side, i.e: BB calendar appointment items would stay on the BB, Outlook 2007 calendar appointment items would stay on the PC. Everything else syncs OK. In fact, new tasks that have a due date will be added to the other side's calendar with no problems!
I've tried different things, including rebooting both sides, deleting the calendar file on the BB, etc., but to no avail.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!
    Thanks.

  • Help getting Outlook 2007 to sync with proper calendar on Blackberry Curve

Hi I'm new to this forum and have looked for specific answers but not luck as of yet. I'll try to explain what I need to happen fully so it may seem like I'm rambling.
I've recently been issued a new computer with Vista and Outlook 2007 for work. Previously I had Win XP and Outlook 2003. Always I had my blackberry set up to recieve all my emails from my personal email accounts as well as my work email.
My problem is that now when I place items on my Outlook 2007 calendar and sync to my blackberry, my Outlook items don't show up on blackberry and vice versa.
If I inititiate calander item from blackberry, making sure I am using work email address, it shows up as appt on blackberry calendar but doesn't show up on Outlook.
If I recieve email invite for appointment on Blackberry, it does show up as appointment. I believe when I set up Outlook 2007 it must be placing the items in a different default calendar, but even though I've selected on blackberry to show all calendars, it still doesn't show up.
Syncing is working properly between the phone and outlook as far as connection, just not showing up.
What I want to happen of course is, enter an item on phone and have it sync to outlook, or enter item on outlook and show up on blackberry..but that's not happening. I've tried all settings I can see and am at a loss.
How can I change what items are in my Outlook 2007 are set as default? It's so screwy I can't even explain what's going on...I'm very tempted to reinstall Outlook 2001 just because it doesn't recognize different calanders so at least all items would show up on blackberry. Help. Thanks.

Okay update. I've deleted all personal address CICAL files in blackberry except for the one I want to use. I cleaned the service records, did a hard reboot, the resynced my phone.
All worked well except for Calendar. My Outlook calendar is full on computer but nothing happened to phone calendar. This makes me think that Outlook 2007 is storing all the calendar entries as a different default, rather than my work email address, but I don't know how to change.
Also, I don't know how to covert entries from one default address to another in Outlook. Probably something in initial setup that I clicked or didn't change properly.
Another question, I sync via cable (not wireless). One of the options in the intellisync setup is Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings or Outlook. I'm using outlook of course but since the MS Outlook Internet Settings is default choice, I've just left it at that (although when I change it nothing seems to happen anyway). Should this be one way or another?
    Thanks.

  • Outlook 2007 calendar events font changes after syncing with iTunes

I use Outlook 2007 on a Windows XP PC. I have no problems syncing Outlook calendar events with my iPhone 4 other than for one highly annoying detail. My default font in Outlook is set to Times New Roman 12 pt. Whenever I sync, all of my calendar events' text in Outlook is changed from Times New Roman 12 pt. to Calibri 11 pt., and sometimes more recently, to Arial 10 pt.
It's driving me nuts as I find Calibri to be hideous-looking. In addition to the font change, all other special formatting such as bold and italics are removed.
Has anyone experienced this before or know what's going on? Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Has no one experienced this issue? I can't understand why this happening. It's been almost two months since I posted this.
To reiterate: After syncing with iTunes (the newest version), all custom text formatting in Outlook 2007 calendar events are changed to Calibri 11 point, and sometimes more recently, to Arial 10 point. My default font is set to Times New Roman 12 point.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How to sync outlook 2007 calendar with Iphone 4?

How do I sync my outlook 2007 calendar with my iphone 4? It used to happen, now it won't work. Thank you.

    Howdy there Connie,
If your Outlook 2007 is still not syncing to your phone I would like to recommend the following article to help you troubleshoot the Sync Services between your the two devices, named:
Troubleshooting Sync Services on Windows with Microsoft Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2010
First backup your data, THEN proceed with the articles troubleshooting step by step until it is resolved:
    Back up your data
Refer to this Microsoft article for steps to back up the data in your PST file used by Microsoft Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook 2007. This Microsoft article explains where the Microsoft Outlook 2010 data files are located.
For information about backing up the data in your OST file, contact your Exchange Administrator. Your OST file should be on the server and backed up when the server is backed up.
Before troubleshooting, it is recommended that you make a copy of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch backup in a safe place. For more information about where to find the backup and what information it contains, refer to About backups.

  • Outlook 2007 Calendar Appointments have stopped syncing with iPhone 3GS and Vice Versa.

Outlook 2007 Calendar Appts have stopped syncing with iPhone 3GS and Vice Versa. Only noticed in last month or so. Help required please.
May have been after an iTunes update.
Have upgraded to latest version of iTunes and iOS but to no avail.

  • My Outlook 2007 Calendar stopped syncing with my iCloud Calendar

My iCloud Calendar no longer syncs with my Outlook 2007 Calendar.  When someone sends me a mobileme invite it shows up in my Outlook but not my iCloud.  When I click refresh iCloud, it doesn't.  What do I do?

I upgraded to 8.1.1 and thought this might have solved a problem, but the syncing between outlook.com and the IOS device is not robust, and can be broken pretty easily.
Here is a repeatable problem that causes the syncing to stop if there are 2 outlook.com calendars being synced with an IOS device:
    1) Reconfigure Outlook.com Account on IOS device.  This downloads all existing outlook.com calendar entries and starts clean.
    2)  Create "appointment 1" in "calendar 1" on outlook.com (This will sync with Ipad without a problem)
    3)  Create "appointment 2" in "calendar 2" on Ipad (This will sync with outlook.com without a problem)
    4)  Edit "appointment 1" on Ipad to switch it from "calendar 1" to "calendar 2".
The appointment will NOT switch on outlook.com, and all syncing between outlook.com and the IOS calendar appears to stop after this.  There may be other edits/changes that would cause this problem, or perhaps the syncing would just stop on its own anyway.
This is a pretty desirable workflow/process.  (i.e. Person 1/Calendar 1 switches responsibility for an appointment to Person2/Calendar2.... or... Person 1/Calendar 1 makes an appointment on the IPAD, and then later wants to modify it when they are at their PC.

  • Syncing with Outlook 2007 Calendar

    Hi All,
I guess that there have been loads of topics raised against this subject. If anyone can help ....
iPhone 3GS (4.1 loaded) with iTunes 10 - attempting to sync with Outlook 2007 calendar on Windows XP. Getting the following error :com.apple.Outlook.client.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
No problems (so far) with Contacts.
    Help please !

Just got my first iPhone a few days ago. I use it to sync to Outlook 2007. The first few syncs went fine, but now changes in either the Outlook Calendar or the Calendar App are not synced to the other. The sync completes without problem (or success).
I guess I'm not the only one having this problem, which is worrying. Even more worrying is the fact that no one seems to be able to resolve this. If it's broken, tell us, and let us know when it's going to be fixed. The fact that we're being ignored is extremely poor...
There's also no documentation I can find about where to look for logs for possible errors, what else might be happening.

  • Outlook 2007 Calendar Reminders Still Making Sound on IPhone

I recently got an Iphone, and synch to my Outlook 2007 calendar. Although I set the Calendar Reminder (can't remember exactly what it's called) in the iphone 'Settings' to 'Off', my iphone still makes a sound when a reminder is generated by Outlook. Do you know how to turn this off without muting the entire phone?

Picked up my iPhone last Friday and am running into the same trouble syncing iPhone with Outlook calendar. Calendar Sound Setting is off, but unless phone is on silent mode, the calendar alerts remain audible. Met with Mac Genius and was advised to restore iPhone, which I did. However, this did not fix the problem.
Perhaps try restoring your iPhone through iTunes and see if you have more luck. Make sure you have all iPhone data backed up on your computer, as it will erase all data and media.
