Trouble setting up type of keyboard after migration
Hi everyone,
I just migrated all my hard disk from a MacBook to a MacBook Pro. Now, I used to have a US keyboard, and now I have a Spanish ISO keyboard. But it seems to have kept the US keyboard setup, so that when I hit certain keys, I get some other sign on the page.
I went to System Preferences>Keyboard and Mouse, but there isn't any option for selecting another type of keyboard, though the Help says there should be.
Any idea what to do? Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
Bonnie,
Open up System Preferences-> International and scroll down near the bottom and check "Spanish ISO". Check the box a the bottom that says "Show input menu in menu bar" Close International preferences. Now next to the clock, change the flag from US to Spanish.

I am currently testing our website with CF11. It is currently working with CF8 however after migrating it to a new server running CF11 I have encountered the following error.

Setting up Photoshop CS 4 after migration MacBook air licensing error 150:30
On my previous computer, I deactivated the license before migrating because that it what you are supposed to do in order to activate it on a new account/machine. Basically like a transfer. The error tells me to restart, which I have done several times, to no use. Then it said to get help here, so obviously I'm asking this question.
What do I do to make the license begin working again?
I also could not find that root folder in my library, so please do not suggest that as a solution.
Thank you for your help!REinstall the software properly. You cannot find anything because nothing is there. That's the whole point why migration isn't usable with Adobe software.

ActiveSync is not working properly after migrating to new Exchange 2013 SP1 server?!
Few weeks ago we have added new Exchange 2013 SP1 onto our existing Exchange 2007 environment. I have migrated my mailbox to the new Ex2013 server. Everything (send/receive - internally/externally, OWA, OutlookAnywhere) for me and the existing Ex2007
users works fine. The only thing I have trouble with is the ActiveSync! After migrating to the new Ex2013 server my phone stops getting new emails…, existing Ex2007 users don’t have any problems with their mobile phones.
I did ActiveSync test for my user account with ActiveSync Tester and here is what I have:
As you can see from the error above ActiveSync Tester detects ActiveSync on Ex2013 server however something wrong there with form-based auth?! I can’t see any differences in settings for ActiveSync virtual folders in Ex2007 and Ex2013
virtual folders?!
What I’m missing here?! Please help.Check if the Exchange Servers group does not have the appropriate permission to the mailbox object in Active Directory.
To check whether inheritance is disabled on the user:
1.Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
2.On the menu at the top of the console, click View > Advanced Features.
3.Locate and right-click the mailbox account in the console, and then click Properties.
4.Click the Security tab.
5.Click Advanced.
6.Make sure that the check box for "Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent" is selected.

Problem with Java Native Type after Migration from 7.0 to 7.1
Hi,
after Migration from Netweaver 7.0 to Netweaver 7.1 I get following error:
FileDownload 'FileDownload.data': Context attribute 'PrintSelectedView.PdfToDownload.resourceInputStream' has the Java native type 'com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDInputStream' and cannot be bound to this property. Hint: Remove the binding or bind a context element matching the property's type.
What have I done wrong?
How could I fix this problem?
Best regards,
PeterHi,

My password is long and convoluted, but it works when I type it in on my main Mac workstation, just fine.....what gives?

Trouble setting up keyboard shortcut close tab groups
Have tried at least three different key combos using workspace, keyboard shortcuts.
Have set them up successfully but they don't seem to want to close tab groups.
I have set up other special keyboard shortcuts (like flatten image) which work greatDoes it work if you use Insert Menu Item and choose Window>Properties for an action?
Then you could assign a function key for the action. -
Serious problem after migration assistant - any ideas?
Hi folks-
I bought an iMac this weekend and for various reasons did not configure with data from my MacBook Pro when I first turned it on, but waited until two nights ago to use Migration Assistant to transfer all but users.
I updates both machines fully with Software Update first. MigAsst went fine until I hit the begin option and after a few minutes the iMac told me there was a problem with my MacBook Pro (MBP). I quit MigAsst on the iMac but even after an hour I couldn't escape it or quit the MBP, so shut down using the power button.
When I restarted, I had a black screen with lighted keyboard and startup chime. I hard-restarted, same thing happened. Third time, I got the grey apple window with no apple for about ten minutes, then a light blue screen with the spinning spokes (not the rainbow) and a slightly darker window with no spokes. The two blue windows alternated back and forth for maybe 8-10 seconds each endlessly until I restarted.
Since I live about 4 hours from the nearest Apple store and tech support was already closed for the evening, I restarted from the Snow Leopard disk and repaired permissions (there were many repairs) and repaired the disk (was told it was fine). I restarted and got the grey-blue-blue cycle again.
I reinstalled the OS from the Snow Leopard disk and everything worked fine - I ran as many tests as I know how to, even perturbed the casing slightly wondering if it was a loose video card wire or something. Nothing. It all worked fine for several hours until after the second Software Update (which as I recall was only Java and iTunes), and now all I get is the black screen again. Also, now the green light on the power cable is not glowing even though the battery reads as fully charged and the keyboard and startup chime are all hunky dory.
I'd think it was a video card issue, but there are too many incongruous symptoms. If I could at least start up from the OS disk again I could get my data off... Any ideas, diagnoses or suggestions would be much appreciated.
With gratitude and blessings. The problem is described in a different post as well, and it is considered to be answered. However, the answers are not very satisfactory because they are complicated.
The underlying problem is that MacOS is looking for a FileVault user, while after migration the user files are actually not within a FileVault bundle.
I believe that there must be a setting to change the login properties for the user to not look for a FileVault user, but for a plain, non-encrypted user. So please, somebody from Apple answer this questions!
Command line very welcome, because I only have a command line user right now. And oh, my MBA didn't ship with a boot DVD so I don't even have the chance to reinstall my system easily. Also, getting my data out of the FileVault on my current machine, transfering everything again (almost 250 GB) and then putting them back into FileVault seems a bit too much effort for what appears to be a simple bit set somewhere… -
Testing of SAP BW system after migration from OS Unix to windows
Hi Experts,
I am working on a project wherein testing of BW system is required after migration from OS Unix to Windows.
If any one has done same set of activities in past or has any idea of this, please share all major test steps required after migration.
Thanks in advance.

File associations after migration
Hi
I'm using ADMT 3.2 to migrate Windows 8 machines to a new domain within the same forest and I know that it's not 100% supported but I wonder if anyone
got the same problem as me.
The Migration finish successful without any problems but when the user logs on the file associations are lost and even after choosing program the
question question turns up again the next time the user tries to start the program by clicking on a jpg file or an xls file
And yes the user profiles are migrated.
Any ideas?
Will there be a ADMT 3.X that supports Windows 8 and Windows 2012?
Thanks
MagnusHi, Sorry for resurrecting an old post, but I wondered if you ever found a way round this - We are performing an ADMT 3.2 (updated month or so ago to allow support for 2012 and win 8) and running into similar issues....
The ADMT migration runs perfectly, without issues, but upon completion when a user logs into their PC all their file associations are broken - reg keys under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts all seem intact, but until
I go in and delete the UserChoices reg key I cannot set these file associations again!
Looking at a PC before and after migration, there doesn't seem to be any changes (other than the new user is added to the permissions obviously)!
Interestingly, after deleting user choices, I am still not prompted to set "default program" when I double click an affected file type...I have to right click and "Open With" before I see the checkbox to set the default!
Very strange behaviour and must be something to do with the security translation of the registry as part of ADMT if you ask me?
I would be interested to hear anyone's view's on this issue as you and I (so far) seem to be the only ones affected!
Thanks

Does anybody know how I can fix this?
Any help Appreciated...I had this problem too after migration. I also could not save contacts. It turned out to be a problem with home folder permissions screwed up after migration.
1. Turn off filevault if it's on, wait until decryption is done.
2. Restart your computer into Recovery partition by press and hold cmd-R after the chime
3. Launch the Terminal app from the utility menu at the top of the screen.
4. Type in “resetpassword” and hit return (all one word)
5. Password Reset Utility launches
6. Select the volume containing the user account
7. Select the user account from the popup list
8. Click the “Reset Home Folder Permissions and ACLs” button in the lower right.
9. When it is done, restart your computer. -
Hi, I'm able to programmatically refresh my UI components in ADF 11.1.1.0.2. After migrating my application to ADF 11.1.1.1.0 using the latest Jdev, I noticed that all the programmatically PPR no longer work. I'm using ADF Faces, managed beans and EJB. Data Control is not used.
In addition, I noticed in Section 7:Rerendering Partial Page Content of the latest Web User Interface Developer's Guide(B31973-03), a new paragraph was added, stating that the clientComponent attribute of the target component should be set to "true" to enable PPR programmatically. An earlier version of the developer guide(B31973-01) does not have this paragraph.
Given the huge amount of work required in going back to update the code, is there a way for me to set ADF 11gR1 to restore to the earlier behaviour in 11.1.1.0.2 by setting some parameter somwhere (e.g. in the web.xml)? No there is no such switch. If you don't want to go through your code (which should be possible by find in files with a regular expression), you have to switch back to 11.1.1.0.2.
This would not be an option to me because of the buds fixed in 11.1.1.1.0.
Think aoubt the next version which is scheduled later this year. There you will have the same problem. If you are not fixing the code you have to stay on 11.1.1.0.2 forever.

Hotkey (Ctrl+B) is not working after migration from Forms 6i to 10g
Dear Gurus,
Need your help regarding the following problem:
After migrating from Forms 6i to 10g (Rel 2), Ctrl+B (used to list the blocks in a form) hotkey is not working anymore (all other hotkeys are working fine). I've checked my FMRWEB.RES and it contains an entry for Ctrl+B:
66 : 2 : "Ctrl+B" : 70 : "Block Menu"
Additional Information:
OS: AIX
NLS_LANG = UTF8
fmrweb_utf8.res also contains the same text for Ctrl+B as above.
I tried to reproduce it on my Windows Machine (with NLS_LANG set to AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1) and its not working as well. I don't have right to put move files on AIX server but i can try anything (on my local system) suggested by the Oracle gurus.
Best Regards,Dear Gerd,
"are you sure, that it is the hotkey"
Yes, i am dead sure. Since:
(1) It was working fine in forms 6i
(2) If you run a form and select Help => Keys, you will see Ctrl+B on the top of list
The problem is its not taking into account the keys which i am defining in the file (although i am following the same procedure detailed on metalink.oracle.com).

But after applying the above the above patch we are still getting the same error.
but in the above patch instructions file - Post deployment instructions to create the Variable
Post Install Instructions:
- To revert to the 10g navigator behavior for handling conforming dimensions,
you must set the following session variable via an init block in the RPD:
NO_FORCE_TO_DETAIL_BIN=1
The default value for the above variable is 0.
- Restart all servers (Admin Server and all Managed Server(s))
but we didn’t find the process to create the specified variable and Initialization block in the RPD
