Trouble syncing, lost music

Can someone help? I deleted my iTunes library from my hard drive thinking it would be safe on my external hard drive. While I've still got all my music on my ipod the computer won't allow me to sync it, as it says it is already synced to another user. Can I over ride this?

An ipod can only auto-sync to one itunes library ITL file. When you deleted itunes, I guess you deleted that.
You can either start over with a new library and add all your music back into itunes, or set your ipod for manual sync.

Ipod classic won't sync, lost music DESEPERATE!!!

Downloading new music that i had just bought from the Itunes store, my Ipod classic (30 gb) forze up and now it won't sync any music file. At first it stated a 48 error, then something about artwork error and now it posted that
there's a corrup file and should run Chkdsk utility (which I have no idea what it is), and lost all the music I had in the Ipod but didn't lose any photos. This happened in both machines I work on. What can I do about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well in the end you'll have to restore your iPod either way.

Trouble syncing all music

I'm using Windows Vista. I've done the newest update and my iphone5 has the new iOS 7 software. For whatever reason I can no longer sync all of my music to my phone. I dont want to sync certain songs or artists or playlists. I want EVERYTHING...with the exception of music videos. I made sure I checked sync entire music library and unchecked music videos. It's not set to manually manage songs. For whatever reason, I'm only getting some things. I even went into my music library and made sure that everything I wanted on my phone had a check mark beside it. When that didn't work, I went into the settings and told it to sync everything even if it didn't have a check mark. Still it only syncs what it wants. I'm sure i'm missing something so simple and right in front of my face. I just can't find it. I'm about to lose my mind!
Please somebody help me out before I throw a tantrum worthy of a 2 year old.

What happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?

Itunes does not sync Lost Music resent by Apple

Hi guys
I lost some purchased Music in the past. I wrote to Apple who restored it into my Purchased music on Itunes.
However since then Itunes does not allow me to put these tracks on the Iphone saying I am not authorized to play those in this Computer.
I emailed Apple again on this problem but they have been utterly useless. They gave me an US number to call when I leave in UK. Really poor support.
I hope you can help me with this.

Hi Hagrid,
Try finding one of the songs in itunes library.
Double click on that song to try and play it in itunes.
There should be a window that comes up asking you to authorize the computer to play this music.
Put in your itunes store account name and password, then click authorize.
Once the song starts playing, stop the song and try syncing to the iphone again.

Having Trouble Syncing My Music

Hi. I having been using Mac for like 2 years now and I just upgraded to Snow Leopard and upgraded to Itunes 9.0.1. I can't seem to get my Music to snyc properly. Everything else syncs just fine (meaning podcasts, apps, movies, etc.). I can't even get one song to sync to my Ipod. I have never had a problem like this in the past. Any Suggestions?

Check your sync settings. If you have 'manually manage' selected then you have to tell iTunes what to move to the iPod.

Trouble syncing selected music

I am using a 32gb 5S with ios7.1 and itunes 11.1.5.5.
I have a selection of music from my itunes library synced to my iphone, this evening I wanted to make some changes. I have no boxes checked in the options section of the summary screen. On the music tab I have "Selected Artists, Albums and Genres" ticked.
I have unchecked some artists and checked some previously unchecked ones and pressed sync, I then got an error saying I had a lack of space even though the bar at the bottom indicated sufficient space for what I was adding. I then decided to remove all the music from the phone and start again, I unchecked all the albums, the bar at the bottom showed no music to be synced, and hit Apply. The sync begins but still leaves the existing music on my iphone. If i check an artist that was not previously on the phone it will be added and if I then uncheck the artisit it is removed again but the existing stuff just stays there.
Next to sync music it says 0 Songs as in the screenshot yet once the sync completes the music is still there on the phone but unticked in itunes
This is driving me nuts if anyone has any ideas why this is happening I would really appreciate it.

I am experiencing the same thing as well. I have been trying to remove all the music from my iPhone 5 to make room for podcasts but the entire music library just keep syncing back to the phone even though nothing is checked or I have answered the question indicating I want to remove all music from the phone. This did not happen until the latest iTunes update, which I detest.

I am having trouble syncing a music video playlist from iTunes onto my iPad2. This playlist works fine on my iPod touch (3rd gen) but on the iPad it shows up as an audio playlist only with the videos going to the video icon; they all work but a playlist can't be made from this location. I have made sure that all the video files are saved as "music video" and not "movie", I'm not sure what else to try, any suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Of them, I recommend BUZZ Player HD by BUGUN Software the most - it's a decent all-rounder, albeit there certainly are better players (for example, It's Playing, AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, GoodPlayer etc. - too bad none of these supports playlists) with more efficient video decoders for some formats.

Somehow my itunes started a new library and I lost my old library. Itunes will not allow me to sync new music to my ipod without deleting stored music from ipod. How can I start using this new library and sync the new music without losing existing music.

Itunes wants to delete all my Ipod music before sync any new music. How do I work around this. I think this happened during Itunes Upates.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

You should use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod.
The ipod will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase teh content from the ipod.

Not if it isn't in your itunes library. If you sync with a new computer iTunes will delete all iTunes media (such as music) from your phone and replace it with whatever media is in the new iTunes library. Sounds like that's what happened.

I realize this is a dumb question, but as I said, I am not computer savvy. After the download was complete, no pop-up box occurred prompting the install, so as you said, I clicked on start to try to search for the download of it.
