Trouble syncing outlook 2003 calendar via exchange

My phone will sync meetings that I put in via the phone to my outlook calendar but if I enter a meeting in outlook it will not sync it to my phone. My boss has the exact opposite problem. His phone will show the meetings he enters in outlook but will not send the meetings that he enters on his phone to outlook. Help. Thanks

what version of versamail are you using? is it 3.5.x or 4.0?
if you are using 3.5.x it doesn't have activity log under options. only preferences, sync email, sync all or about versamail.
it's 4.0 who has the activity log options.
most of the errors are caused by incorrect server, incoming/outgoing mail servers or ports.
just post the error messages that you and your boss are seeing since it can help in analyzing solutions.

Calendar Invitations Using iCal Synced with Google Calendar via Exchange

I have a very complicated system set up for syncing multiple calendars. I use CompanionLink to sync my work Lotus Notes calendar to iCal. I then sync my Google Calendar and my husband's Google Calendar to iCal via Exchange. I've recently added the iCal step as a way to get push notifications. That's the only reason I've gone to iCal as I have CalenGoo on my iPhone and it's been working great up to now. However, the only notifications it can do are through email. I have 2 questions.
First - using the iCal program on the iPhone, I tried to invite attendees for a meeting. No invitations were sent. Is there something that has to be set up to make this happen? Also, is it supposed to be sending them through Google or through my own email (mobileme is the primary email account on this phone)?
Second - Is it possible to mark events as Private or Public? I don't want personal events to show up in my work calendar so that others can view them.

Best way to sync Outlook 2007 calendar with Exchange on SBS 2003

I currently have Vista and Outlook 2007.
My email, contacts and calendar are all in a OST file, which syncs to our Windows SBS 2003 server and the Exchange installed on it.
How should I configure my iPhone and iTunes, in order to have my calendar in iPhone?
After trying for several times to sync through iTunes without any success (could never have any items imported to the iPhone) I did create an Exchange account on my iPhone with the IP address of our SBS server, and my account details, and now all my items seem to appear (however they all have Accept/Maybe/Refuse buttons).
Is this the correct way? Will I get alarms for my appointments, even if I don't accept them on the iPhone?

OK, I think I figured it out, with Apple's iCloud instructions and a little help from campus tech support. This only applies to people using Outlook with Microsoft Exchange.
Enable iCloud on your computer (running Lion) and your iPhone. http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html
Then go to your iPhone's Mail icon, click on Add Account > Microsoft Exchange and enter your login info.
Doing this transferred my work email and calendar to my phone wirelessly.

You may have to Reset the Sync history, as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692. This would force the Merge or Replace syncing options to be shown the next time you sync calendar events.

If you using on a windows pc, maybe you should reinstall the iCloud Control Panel. You can download the latest version from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455?viewlocale=en_US
If you cant see your changes on icloud.com than you have trouble between outlook and icloud. this is the part of the icloud control panel.

Unable to restore from backup as my iPhone was backed-up before I realised my calendar info was gone.
I found an old backup file in my old disk but was unable to move the old calendar data to the empty outlook after restore. It just keep wiping out after I sync.

I have managed to find an old back up to restore my iPhone. However even with at least one entry in my outlook, my calendar details on my iPhone was still wiped out and was not transferred to my outlook.

I had the identical problem. I still don't know how to sync the tasks, but here's how I did the contacts and calendar:
1. Connect the 4s to the computer.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Click the iPhone box in the upper right corner.
4. Click on the info tab.
5. Hit the checkbox Sync Contacts with... and choose Outlook from the dropdown box.
6. Ditto for Calendars.
7. Hit Apply.
My problem was that originally, I wasn't getting the checkboxes. I turned off the iCloud settings on the 4s. That did the trick.

Anyone had problems syncing Outlook 2003 to the iPod?

I have syncd it via iTunes and it thinks it is syncd, but when I go into calendars on the iPod, there is a calendar there but no appointments and i can't create new appointments in the iPod either! Please can anyone tell me what I doing wrong?

I am experiencing the same problem with Outlook 2003. No trouble syncing contacts, but calendar will not sync even though it appears to.
I have done extensive troubleshooting on this (different iPods, different computers, reinstalled iTunes and Outlook 2003, restored iPod, etc.) Talked with genius at local Apple store and tech support at Apple ... they created a "ticket" on this and sent it to "engineering" but that was 10 days ago and nothing hear back from them.
I did find a work around. There is a product called O2M from Little Machines which cost $10. It will sync to Outlook and transfer calendar info (as well as contacts, emails) to a file O2M creates in iCal format. You can then copy these files into your iPod calendar folder. To do this you need to enable iTunes to open iPod as an external disk. Then you can find the iPod in My Computer and within that is an empty calendar folder. Drag (i.e.copy) the files from the folder created by O2M into this iPod folder and you are set. Besure to do this after iTune finishes syncing with you iPod but before you eject the iPod. Otherwise, iTune will come in and erase the data you just put into the calendar folder. If you need more help on this get back to me on this forum.

You would sync Outlook via iTunes on the computer. Connect the iPhone to the computer, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes running, select the iPhone in iTunes and it will display the Summary page. Select the Info tab, and there you would select what you want to sync calendar and contacts to. Make sure since this is the first time you have done a sync that whichever of the devices is new to the sync process has at least one unique contact/calendar event to get iTunes to prompt you for a merge or replacement. Ever since I bought the Iphone, It has been virtually impossible to sync the outlook (2003) calendar. The first time I connected my Iphone it went well, but that was also the end. Since then it does not take any of the changes I do in Outlook (on my Lap Top). It is a vital tool for me, and hence this, I still have to use my old phone.

I synced my Curve to my Outlook 2003 calendar two days ago, and it worked great. Then I added a few items to the calendar on my blackberry and tried to sync so those new entries would appear on my outlook calendar. I stupidly just clicked through and didn't read the pop up screens because I thought it would just work fine.
Somehow, this move deleted nearly all of my calendar entries on my Outlook, but all of the entries are still on my Blackberry calendar (over 1,000 entries). Now, I can't get them back on my Outlook calendar. I tried just syncing one way from device to Outlook and it looks like it's doing it, but then nothing shows up on Outlook.
What do I do?

In the Desktop Manager > Sync > Configuration, make sure the calendar options are set to override Outlook.
Set it also to notify you of the changes, so you will have to approve any changes.

Not all appointments in outlook are syncing - Outlook 2003

I've seen a number of threads about outlook not syncing at all with the iphone. My issue is different in that I am able to sync but not all my calander appointments are making it onto the phone. I dont see any common factor in the appointments that arent making it. Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas?
After 2 dayt Im close to getting the iPhone to where I need to be. This is the last of the major issues. I guess thats why its called the bleeding edge.

Same problem here. Outlook 2003 Calendar only syncs some events, but not all. But, contacts sync both ways without any problems.
