Trouble syncing with Yahoo

Hi all. I changed my password on my Yahoo account yesterday and I think it's fouling up the sync process with my 8330. I'm receiving an error message during sync which reads "Yahoo server is temporarily inaccessible. Try again in a few minutes". i've been receiving the message for two days now.
I updated my Yahoo password on my 8330 also. Is there something I'm overlooking? Please help.

What, exactly, do you mean by that statement? Where you needed to have updated your Yahoo password is inside of BIS...using this procedure:

Yes, it does not state Yahoo...but it's the same procedure for all integrated email accounts. BIS stores your credentials for your integrated email accounts...when you change those credentials, you must change them inside of BIS as well.
If that still does not work, then I'd suggest deleting and re-creating the BIS conduit to your Yahoo email.

my friend, your iPhone settings will always have precedence....anything you want to delete, delete in the phone and then sync with Yahoo and everything will be as you want.

I just received my new palm pixi (switched out my old blackberry) and thought I was moving up in the world. Now I see there are all kinds of issues syncing with yahoo contacts, calendar, etc. I only use Yahoo, and don't have a gmail account. My pixi keeps asking me to re-enter my password for contacts. My battery drained very quickly last night. I saw on the forum that there was lots of discussion about yahoo, but no resolution. What's the latest on this? Is there a fix?
I'm totally annoyed that I had to sign up for this forum in the first place - seems I should have stuck with my blackberry.

Have you tried completely removing and then re-adding the account? Very often a variety of glitches can be resolved that way.
Other thoughts are that it could be a bug related to having "special" characters within your password (such as ampersands or asterisks.)
As for signing up for the forum, why be annoyed? It's a good way to report problems and get questions answered by knowledgeable users as well as some of Palms paid tech support staff (whom I suspect contribute to these forums by and large voluntarily.)
Battery performance is something that Palm has been improving through over-the-air updates since the Pre was first released on Sprint almost a year ago. However not all battery issues are necessarily a problem with the phone. If for example last night you were in an area with poor signal the radio will constantly be attempting to find service which will drain the battery EXTREMELY quickly, but this is something which occurs with all phones smart, dumb, or otherwise.

TS4009 I need to get a message to Apple, iCloud...having so many problem with it. I just went in and deleted all of my iCloud emails, that just stay stuck there. What has happened now is that it was synced with Yahoo. I've lost all my yahoo mess. HELP!

I am so sorry that I ever signed up for iCloud. The only thing that ever worked is that I had two messages drop into iCloud when there was an open wifi connection. It is synced with Yahoo. It was taking up so much space as I had a lot of attachments, nothing sent, they just sat there, I had to cut and paste them into my Yahoo! account and send them.
Last nigth were were looking at the reason that my brand new Mac Air had ZERO memory. It was the iCloud messages that were stuck. I then went in and deleted everything. I have tried to turn iCloud off via a pull down menu. Did not work. I have now lost all of my sent and received messages in my Yahoo Account. My inbox is completely empty. I believe I still have sent messages though. These were messages that I had cut and pasted into Yahoo! to get them sent. Now my Yahoo! is wiped out.
I am a writer. I need those messages recovered. I am an end user. I need instructions in English on how to recover this. If there is anyone that can help me, I am desparate. I imagine Apple could retrieve them for me though there is no where to contact them.
I thought it was cool until, such time as I LOST EVERYTHING.

Lord K. Thank you. Yes I am within the 90 time period, however I travel Intertionally and I can not receive not make a call to Apple. I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue. This is suing EXPEDIA and Tripadviosr.com

Crash in YahooSync when trying syncing with Yahoo Address Book

My iPhone (fw 1.1.1) works fine. I tried to syn with my contacts on the Yahoo address book. When I click on "syn contacts with Yahoo! Address Book" in iTunes (latest vesion 7.4.3.1) it pops up the login dialog.
Then it crashes (login on the website works fine).
iTunes says: "unknown error (6)".
Any idea how to solve this?!

While researching I found the following doc on Apple called

Currently I just have telephone numbers in my contacts, no e-mail addresses. So that can't be the problem. I also replaced special characters like ö, ä and so on.

In recent weeks i have been losing my contacts which are synced with yahoo. Is anyone elese having the same problem? How to fix it?

I have the same problem. Contacts in Yahoo disappear and then reapper back again several times per day. I have the impression that it depends if there is a connection to internet to synch with yahoo.
As I have some of my favorites number on the yahoo contact list, I found that I go to favorites and there are just the numbers and no name. After few minutes I go to the favorites list again and the name appear again.
It is very annoying problem.
Especially as when the contacts are lost and I get a phone call, it appears only the number and not the name of the caller.
Is there any one with a solution to this defect?

I am a PC user so cannot help with your Mac interfaces. I can sync (crudely) my Windows 7 Address book with iTunes. But, I cannot sync my Windows Mail or Calendar with iTunes (unless I have Microsoft Exchange).
Microsoft Exchange is not available to me. This is why I use the iPod to sync with to Yahoo for email and Calendar.
The best I can tell, iTunes does NOT support an interface with Yahoo.

Mountain lion contacts won't sync with Yahoo

Just upgraded and the option in Contacts > Accounts > On My Mac . Sync with Yahoo is missing. Also, sync with Yahoo is not working. Has anyone found a fix for this or is Apple responding with a patch?

nqk, I also get that error message frequently, and just tried Jennifer's suggestion of turning off the firewall and virus protection temporarily, my results were I still got the error a couple of times, but was able to sync the contacts without the error many more times than before. Happy to say I've got an iMac on order and am looking forward to it. Thanks Jennifer B for your suggestion.

got it fixed! My Son had both files on his Win7 iTunes installation. Never mind he had no issues whith ths iTunes and iPhone Sync. So I checked my other Win XP PC, where I don't have this problem syncing my ipad, and surprise. Both files do NOT show up on this PC. So I renamed the iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe I found under c:\program file\iTunes and synced again my iPhone and it went through without any error. So the problem might be and unremoved iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe or the missing iTunesPhotoProcessor.dll under the iTunes install root folder and this even if I had checked that the folder was completely removed during iTunes unistall.
Please try yourselve and just rename the iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe to iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe_ under c:\program file\iTunes or get a copy of the missing iTunesPhotoProcessor.dll and cp to c:\program file\iTunes.

go to Settings -> iCloud -> Account make sure you are using the same account on both devices. then you can select what you want synced to the cloud. once you have chosen what you want to sync the devices should update to match each other. this may take a few minutes for the devices to sync up.

Hi My iPhone does not sync with Yahoo Address book. iTunes comes back with an error

This make no sense as I am conected to the internet. iTunes can acess the iTunes Store without a problem. I can also access the Web.

I ran into this problem just within the past couple of weeks. I found someting on another discussion group on the net about someone with the same problem. They said that it was because one of their notes was too long.
I looked at my notes and wouldn't you know it, I created a couple of extra long notes a couple of weeks ago! I deleted them and I am able to sync without errors again. I didn't know there was a size limit for a note on the iphone.
PS. I have an iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1.1, iTunes 10.6.3.25

since upgrade to ios8 /new itunes (?) my yahoo contacts don't sync with my 4s anymore. Tried everything like switch sync on/off; reinstall account; reboot phone etc. does anybody have a solution to this problem? thx for helping!

OK; this is pretty flippin' funny. I hope an Apple geek stumbles over this and can carry the multiple levels of irony back to the hive.
I found this thread while searching for solutions to the same problem on my iPod touch. The strong sense of "duh, I am connected to the 'net" really. Goes double for you 'Phone guys.
You guys can't even leave the store without being connected to the 'net; right?
So the first bit of irony is that the sweet and helpful Apple (1) hasn't made the configuration requirement clear and, even more, (2) why it's an issue at all. These are computers; so they could just program it to insert the (painfully) missing "@yahoo.com" automatically. (Can I get a "hellooo?")
But the second bit of irony is that the "sync with Yahoo" procedure is tied exclusively to iTunes. (Need another, "hellooo?" here.) Too bad iPhones aren't autonomously connected to the 'net 24x7. Oh, wait....
I guess this is where Apple gets a reminder that they make the koolade in those commercials -- but they're not supposed to drink it too!

When I first pluged in the iphone 4 it transfered the contacts ... I since updated them and now get the message ....
