Trouble transfering phonebook via bluetooth to Alpine Blackbird B200 GPS

I recently purchased the Alpine Blackbird PMD-B200 and the first thing I did was to pair it up with my blackberry curve to check out the bluetooth.  It paired fine and a test call worked.  Then I tried to transfer the phonebook from the curve and it only transfered 3 entries.  Checked the settings on the phone and tried again same thing.  this has happened to a couple of other people who have posted on the web but I haven't found any answers.  Anyone have an answer before I start sending back the Alpine.

  • Trouble transferring photos via bluetooth

i bought a blackberry 9320 as normally i am use to nokia. thought nice little phone compared to seeing the 8520 curve someone i knew had. the phone links up with to my computer and shows on the phone its connected, but the blackberry desktop software version 7 does not find the phone even though it is connected in windows. my laptop has windows 7 home premium on it. any help to get this working via bluetooth would be so great. thanks in advance

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Well, first off, why bother with the Desktop Software for the file transfer? Why not just use Mass Storage Mode?
KB11879 What is mass storage mode
As for using the Desktop Software via BT, see this:
KB23386 How to copy files to BlackBerry smartphone from a computer
KB22387 BlackBerry Desktop Software does not detect a BlackBerry smartphone when the first-time connection is by Bluetooth
There may be other applicable KBs...searching there might be useful for you.
    Good luck!

  • Iphone (IOS7) wont download phonebook via bluetooth to RR Evoque

iphone (IOS 7) won't download phonebook via bluetooth to RR Evoque. Anyone had this problem?

    Carolyn,
Once again, I see you're giving out false information. Please refrain from replying to threads where you do not know the answer. It doesn't help anyone.
Photos CAN be transferred between iOS devices via Bluetooth. There are dozens of apps in the AppStore for doing just that. Just search the AppStore for "bluetooth photo" to find them.

  • Transferring photos via Bluetooth - LG VX8300

I've paired my LG VX8300 to my PC via Bluetooth because I want to transfer about 150 pictures to my computer before I upgrade to a new phone.  I see no options whatsoever that allow my PC to access the phone settings and DL the photos.  I'd rather not spend 6 hours sending them to myself one-by-one via email.
Any step-bstep process for doing so would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

The vx8300 can use a microsd memory card. Based on some discussions I found through google, it appears the initial firmware supported up to a 1gb microsd card and, starting with firmware version 3, a 2gb microsd card. I didn't spend enough time searching to see if firmware updates supported any higher capacity microsd cards like 4gb. And I don't know if it's still possible to take your phone to any place that is still capable of upgrading the phone's software.
I don't know if it's possible to still find a microsd memory card of that size at a store.
However, the good news is that small capacity microsd cards are still available on ebay. I think the smaller capacities are 512mb, 1gb, and 2gb. For the smaller capacities, our Sandisk cards continue to be reliable.
There's a chance the phone might still partially be compatible with a larger capacity microsd memory card because I've read that a phone will be able to "see" a certain amount of that capacity. So, if a phone's software was written to accept up to a 2 gb card and an 8gb card is inserted, then the phone will be able to use up to 2gb of that card. This is the experience that some have reported for some phones. I don't know if there are exceptions to this experience. Hopefully someone you know has a large capacity memory card you can borrow so that, if your vx8300 can't "see" any of it, then you haven't made a purchase that's of no use to you.
So, with a memory card inserted into the vx8300, transfer the photos onto it and then use a memory card reader that you'll plug into your PC to read the memory card. If you need further information on transferring pictures from the phone to the memory card, here's a link to the phone manual:

  • 3gs (3.1.3) trouble streaming audio via bluetooth to car

thanks in advance for the help. im kinda new to this kind of stuff, but im trying to get my iphone to stream music via bluetooth through my car (range rover with stock stereo). I have the devices recognizing each other, and the phone is working through blue tooth, but i can't stream audio. the blue tooth icon is lit up at the top of the phone, and im under the impression a blue tooth icon should appear next to the volume bar in my itunes for streaming, but this isnt appearing. anyone have any ideas? also, is it possible to stream from a thrid party app like pandora? again thanks for any help that can be offered.

still no luck. I have the phone working via bluetooth through the speakers perfectly, but have no idea how to stream my ipod via bluetooth. The bluetooth icon is lit up at the top of the phone, but one does not appear when the ipod is activated to start streaming. anyone have any ideas?

  • Trouble sending files via bluetooth from my powerbook to Blackberry Pearl

I didn't know who else to check first. So I'm taking a chance here. Over the weekend I made the big step of purchasing a Blackberry Pearl 8100. I was looking forward to trying the bluetooth feature. So I paired my phone with my Powerbook G4. Everything good there. I did a test by sending a photo from the phone to the computer. No problem there. Then I wanted to send a backdrop from my pb to my Blackberry. Problem: the computer displays" Device does not have the necessary services." I'm trying to figure out if this a Blackberry or an apple problem. At this point I'm stumped. Before I check with Blackberry I would love to find out if anyone who has a Blackberry Pearl is or had this problem.
    Thanx!

so, i did a little more digging with regards to this problem and found from this forum the answer

  • Transferring contact via bluetooth

    Hi all,
I just bought a new nokia E66 phone and trying to transfer all my contacts from the old phone (nokia 6300)to the new or at least to my computer by bluetooth but I couldnt figer out how to do that with the nokia 6300.
if anyone can help me with that i would really appreciate it

Best to use cable or Bluetooth and PC Suite to backup 6300 to the computer and then restore to the E66. Or use the Switch application from your E66 - somewhere in the Tools folder...
    Check that guide:

Its a tried and tested method
Get a laptop/pc with bluetooth and install the latest nokia pc suite on it.
Now contact ur phone i.e. by pairing the bluetooth or by data cable.
Once connected u can open ur phone brwoser thru my computer and there u can see the phone memory/memmory card.
Now see where ur contacts r and then copy all the contacts on pc as a VCF File.
Then simply connected E66 and copy the same on the memory card/phone memory.... and the job is done......(the phone must be connected in Nokia PC Suite Mode)

  • 6300's problem of transfer file via bluetooth

    Hi..i just got a brand new 6300
but i've got a problem with transfering file via bluetooth from my laptop to my phone
sumhow i can transfer file from my phone to my laptop, and i also can transfer image file from my laptop to my phone...
but a problem occured when i try to send MP3s file from my laptop to my phone...
i've already succeed to pair my laptop and my phone...but still i can't transfer thoose files...
    can anyone help me??
    please...
    thx a bunch

Make sure that you have enough phone memory available, even if you are transferring to the memory card.
When sending files by bluetooth they are transfered (cached) to the phone then the phone transfers them to the memory card.
Also you should transfer files one at a time.
If you are transfering lots of MP3's you would be better off using a data cable as it will be a lot quicker.

My iphone 3G has worked fine via bluetooth with my BMS 3 series (57 plate) until I updated to V.5.0.1 software and now only some but not all contacts are transferred and available - any ideas?

    Rodger,
Thank you for your gracious welcome . . .
and thank you for your swift response . . .
and thank you for your information (and encouragement!).
Yes, I read that too, but searched in vain for the specifity of, say, your direction:

    So I shall!

  • Trouble connecting iphone 5s to macbook pro via bluetooth

My MBP (OS 10.10) and iPhone 5S (iOS 8.0.2) (both late 2013) do not connect via bluetooth.
I want to use Handoff and file transfer between them, which is why I am trying to connect them.
    Steps taken:
    1) I pair the devices here:
    2) My phone says that they are not supported (see below)
Sometimes they connect for about 30 seconds, but then disconnect.
    What should I do?

Found a solution on this page:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5458?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Check the following settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
Go to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps and make sure Handoff is on.
Go to Settings > Phone. If you see Wi-Fi Calling, turn it off.
Check the following settings on your Mac:
Go to the Wi-Fi icon at the top of your screen and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Make sure your Mac and iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iOS device and compare the name of the network with the Wi-Fi network on your Mac.
Go to the Bluetooth icon at the top of your screen and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
In System Preferences > General, select “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.” If you don't see this setting, your Mac may not support Handoff.
Open the FaceTime app, go to FaceTime > Preferences and turn on “iPhone Cellular Calls.”
Go to System Preferences, and sign out and then sign in again to your iCloud account.

  • Transfering Phone Book via Bluetooth

Hello,  unfortunately the USB port of my 8330 Curve has broken and I do not have a backup of my contact list - over 100, not sure why I can't retrieve the back up, but my question is....  Can I not transfer from one phone to the other via bluetooth and if so, could someone please help me.  Thank you so very much!

You can connect your device via Bluetooth with Desktop Manager and have backup of your device. The transfer of address book via Bluetooth is not available.

  • Transferring/Receiving Photos via Bluetooth

Is there a way iPhone could send pics to another phone via bluetooth? Checked the manual, and it seems there is no indication this basic function could be done. Also, it seems iPhone could not receive pics from other phone.

  • I am new to iphone., want to transfer some files from my LG  KM900 via bluetooth, having trouble pairing, is it possible

    Hi there,
New to the iphone, and love it, but I would like to send a couple of files and photos to it from my previous phone via bluetooth... My previous phone was an LG KM900 and im having difficulty pairing with it... saying its not supported.,
Can someone give me a list of compatible bluetooth(able) phones, and i will do it through a third party...
Many thanks and I do hope there is a way to do this
    regards
    Debz

This is not a feature of the iphone or iOS.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone
devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the app
store and internet tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this it will not connect to a phone/computer/device.  (thanks to ckuan for the wording)
You could try emailing the files/photos from the LG and then open the emails
on the iPhone. Depending on the type of file, the iPhone should be able to at
least view the contents - editing will require an app capable of dealing with that
particular type of file. Photos should be viewable unless in proprietary format.
