When i connect my Canone EOS 500 its ok, and i can transfer via EOS utility.
When i connect Ixus 80 the machine says camera not found??

Did you ever solve this problem? I get the no camera found message with my new canon ixus 220. The camera is useless if it doesn't work with the computer!!! I am hating this computer. Every single thing I try to do encounters some compatibility problem.

Trouble transfering pictures from PC to nano

I followed the instructions and examples given in apple's manuals and websites. itunes shows that it is 'optimizing file' for nano. after it is done, the bottom right corner of itunes still shows ZERO photos and there is nothing for me to choose to view when i choose 'Photos' on my nano.
I'm using windows XP.

Hi , i have found transferring photos to the nano to be flawed, firstly i need at least 50mb free to transfer any , when they are on if i reconnect the nano with less than 50mb spare itunes deletes your photos and then complains it doesnt have any room for them on your nano!!!
I now just put them on and switch off photo sync, works for now.

Transferring pictures from Digital SLR?

I'm going on a photographic trip to Africa soon and will be investing in a Canon 350D digital SLR.
But I'm wondering what my best option is for transferring images and storing while I'm on the move. Ideally I would like to also get an iPod nano and just use it for storage on this trip, but I can't figure out if I'll be able to get the pictures from the Canon onto it. Any advice much appreciated...

I got the 350D in the middle of June and I must say you won't be sorry. It's a fantastic camera.
If you're looking to use an iPod for picture storage, get the 60 GB. At lowest JPEG compression setting (highest resolution) the pics are 2 to 3 MB in size. If you keep the RAW images too then you'll need even more space. I went to the beach for 4 days and shot enough that it would have filled my 4 GB nano and then some -- and that was just the beach!
For a photographic trip to Africa you'll want to make certain you take enough film and the iPod will be taking the place of film canisters.

If you have a mac, transfer the photos from your camera to iphoto. Then, open itunes and connect your ipad. Under your ipad, go to the photos tab, and select albums/photos from there, and click sync. Hopefully this Helps!!

Can you see the Canon EOS camera and image files using Windows Explorer? If not disconnect the camera, close all applications' shutdown Windows, and TURN OFF the power to your system and ALL connected devices. Disconnect all phones, iPads, and any other USB devices and restart your system.
Retry Windows Explorer and see if your camera is showing. If so try LR import again.

If you get to the point of seeing the message ready to send and then click on the send button, do you see an uploading message?
For an image that you have just emailed, go to the Information panel on the right hand side and look at History - does that end with an emailed message?
Most errors I have seen have occurred before the email is actually sent.
It could be a problem with the Adobe server but I have just managed to send myself an image.
The other possibility is that the email is being blocked by a spam filter somewhere.

I have trouble transferring audiobooks from Overdrive Media Console. Sometimes the book does not transfer. Sometimes it winds up in music.

I agree that transferring audiobooks to an iPhone using Overdrive is very flaky. My biggest issue now is that when I do a transfer, about every 3rd or 4th segment doesn't transfer successfully. I have to go back and select those and transfer again and then they are out of order with no apparent way to put them in the correct order. So when I start listening to the book, I have to closely monitor when I am at the end of a part so that I can manually select the next part.
My latest transfer of a book with 14 parts placed 2 versions in Audiobooks with the order 5, 12, 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14. (missing parts 4, 7, and 11)
When I went back to Overdrive and selected parts 4, 7, and 11 to transfer, my iPhone then had a playlist with the book with the order 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 4, 7, 11.

I Have PSE 8 for many years and never had an issue transferring pictures from my cellphone to PSE 8 until I upgraded a month ago to PSE 13. I didn't like this new version so I contacted customer service to cancell the recent upgrade. Then, I went bank to my PSE 8 and I can't transfer pictures from my iPhone to PSE 8. I usually see this error reported when the iPhone connected has not been unlocked prior to being connected. Disconnect the phone from the computer. Unlock the phone with the passcode and make sure it is "awake" when you connect it to the computer. This seems to be a quirk under Windows 8.

I'm having trouble transferring songs from my laptop to both my iPad 2 and iPhone 5. I just added a new album to my library, and where before I used to select the songs I wanted to add to my devices, and then drag and drop them, this doesn't appear to work. I watched the tutorial and it says there is an 'Add to' option when you clkick on the device name in the top right hand corner. That doesn't appear on mine at all. Completely confused and nearing the end of my tether!
