Trouble trying to install Creative Suite Standard Design 6. It stalls at around 20% when installing "Adobe Help" component. Install time increases but does not go past 20%. Tried several times with same result. I am running Windows 8.1. regards Thomas

while installing, when installation starts to stall, open your running processes and terminate the adobe help process. installation should then continue.

Amyjoan50 I am sorry but I don't have any experience with attempting to run Creative Suite 5 in a virtual box. You will want to make sure that the applications have access to the necessary video drivers. This can often be an issue when trying to run a virtual OS.
You may also want to check with the Ubuntu or Virtual Box community to see if others have had success trying to install using Virtual Box.

Ok, so I am trying to install Creative suite 6 Design Standard for Windows. I have downloaded the two files that were provided, and one of the files leads to nothing because my computer doesn't know how to open it, and the other file tells me that I don't have all of the files necessary to do the installation. Please help, I have successfully installed other downloaded cs6 programs but for some reason this one isn't working. -Nicole

Im trying to install Creative suite 4 production premium and i can only get as far as entering the serial number, it accepts that i press next and then the 'upgrade check' screen comes up
It asks me to select a product i already own and enter a serial number , i have no product that i already own and this is not an upgrade version i am trying to install
can someone please help it wont let me continue unless i try and install a trial version

Uninstall each and any piece of Adobe software you may have on the system then run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and tafter that try again.

It means what it says. It's simply old software that doesn't run on contemporary Macs. You need to come up with something else like buying a current version or joining Creative Cloud.

Good luck, I have tried every method the Adobe tech support recommends; I have also tried every suggestion I have found online to no avail. I have a CS4 installation that does not include Dreamweaver, Acrobat and Illustrator, three of the apps I use the most. I have spent weeks trying to install on a Vista Business laptop and am mad and frustrated. Microsoft problem or Adobe, I don't care. Till Adobe support addresses this issue they get a big thumbs down from me. Think twice about purchasing CS4!

The hard drive on my laptop is failing. I was able to actually uninstall Adobe’s Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium.
Now I am trying to install on my new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite S50-A running Windows 7. The processor is Intel® Core ™ i7-4700MQ CPU @2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz. RAM: 16.0 GB. 64-bit Operating System. 1TB hard drive.

So, following the instructions, I did a clean boot and turned off the antivirus program and the firewall (as well as disconnecting from the internet.)

It says "display requirements not met", which means your screen resolution is either actually too small or misconfigured in such a way that the installer can't detect its settings...

Setup.app freezes when trying to install Creative Suite 4

HI, I can't seem to get to the install window where you pick which programs to install. I click the setup.app file and it freezes seconds later. It doesn't crash and no error messages pop up. The only thing i can do is force quit and try again. All other programs are closed.
I have 10.4.11 Tiger on my MacBook and the system meets the minimum requirements
I've tried:
-Creative Suite Cleanup (uninstalled flash plugins etc)
-Adobe Support Advisor (it found no errors on the disc)
-ran Disk Utility to repair permissions
-restarting computer
People i've talked to think it is a font issue, but when i ran the support advisor no errors came up. I unlocked disabled fonts.
Also found this in console.log: executing /Volumes/Adobe CS4 Design Premium Disc 1/Adobe CS4 Design Premium/Setup.app/Contents/MacOS/Setup

Is Creative Suite 6 and Captivate6 are windows8.1 compatible? Inform them of the errors you received when trying to install Captivate6 and the attachment has the errors I received when trying to install Creative suite 6.

I already had Photoshop CS5 - after installing the Creative Suite 6, the CS5 is still on my hard drive. Should I uninstall the CS5 or do I need to keep it for some reason. What is the best way to uninstall the CS5.

There is no requirement to uninstall CS5, but feel free to do so. Just be aware that you will have to reinstall CS6 after that to fix file associtaions and shared components...
