Trouble updating Photoshop

I´m doing some updating in my Creative Cloud, and PhotoShop will not be updated... Somebody knows why?? I just get the message «Updating failed»...

You could try re-installing Photoshop on top of itself from the direct install downloads. Once re-installed the will be back leveled to the first level. Then try Photoshop menu Help>Updates it may work. It worked for me with Photoshop CC . My Photoshop CC 2014 was OK. The direct download links follow. Pleas read their download instructions. Hi Dipesh,
You need to enter the admin credentials for the machine to run the updates available.
All Adobe applications require admin rights on the machine.

I am having trouble updating Photoshop Elements 12 to 12.1.

Adobe Updater notified me of updates for both my Premier Elements and Photoshop Elements. The Premier updated okay, but Photoshop Elements keeps giving me this error message: "Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.1 update There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210." I have tried downloading a trial version and re-installing but without success. I also get an incomplete web page load saying, "The header is too large."
I have tried updating numerous times to no avail. I'm stumped.

Thank you, Barb, for trying to give me the procedure for a fix. But, this one is not it. That link does not apply to Error Code: U44M1I210. It is a different error code. In the hopes that the one you refered to might also fix my problem, I followed the directions and found that the properties of the InstallLocation were already correct.
So, I'm still looking for a fix. BTW, I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit, on an HP quad-core desktop. My HP laptop updated just fine--both Photoshop and Premier Elements, which leads me to think it is something with this machine. A search on Adobe Community for Error Code: U44M1I210 turned up nothing relevant.

Trouble updating Photoshop CS3 & Elements 6

I am running Windows XP. I have Photoshop Elements 6 and Photoshop CS3 newly installed. When I try to run, from either program, "Help, Updates..." everything seems to be okay at first but before the update installation is complete I get a window titled "Installation Incomplete" and the instructions in the window direct me to "shutdown the following application: PhotoshopElementsFileAgent.exe" When I go to TaskManager I can't find that program listed in either the Processes tab or Applications tab.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Trouble with Photoshop Updates.

For about 3 weeks Photoshop will not update when message comes that new updates are available. I have the Creative Cloud subscription. All the other applications update with no problem. Any thoughts? A solution?

Finally - got the Administrator enabled successfully. Thanks for the
additional instructions. Restarted the computer after trying to update
Photoshop and getting another failed update message thinking it needed that
to make the Administrator enabling effective. After the restart, attempted
to update again and the got the same error I've been getting all along
that there was an problem updating Photoshop CS6 and to see the box below
for specifics. The box info stated "errors occurred during installation
(U44M1P7) and gave a link for more details. When I opened the link, it's a
listing of all the applications with various dates that something
occurred. There is an entry for Photoshop with today's date.
What is the problem here? I pay a monthly subscription for this service
that seems to work for every application other than the one where I'm
currently taking a class. This is crazy! This application update has
failed since June. I need a refund for not getting the services I've paid
for under my contract.

Trouble finding photoshop CC updates

when i signed up for CC i was told i would be able to download the updates for Photoshop CC manually as my main Photoshop computer is on a slow Internet connection and cant be moved. i have the main download page and noticed that updates for lightroom are posted but nothing for Photoshop CC my laptop also has CC installed and have updated Photoshop and CC regularly but you cant save those updates to install on a second computer...is there going to be a location that i can do this? do i have to download the trail version and go through that process every time Photoshop updates...hassle...

nothing is getting installed, copied or otherwise loaded onto my computer....first the program starts to load, then it asks for my serial number, then it goes out and seems to check the serial number then it says it can't be installed then it erases everything it just spent 10 minutes loading.
In view of the above and your prior descriptions, have you tried alternative installation files?
If you want to give a look to that approach, please download and install the tryout files for Premiere Elements 9 from the following web site and then insert your purchased serial number into them during installation.
With this route, you need to carefully carry out the web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" in order to avoid an Access Denied message.

Are you getting any Shared Technologies error message any where in the installation process that is failing?
If you follow the following path, do you find an OOBE Folder?
Local Disk C
Program Files (x86)
Common Files Folder
Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder should be the OOBE Folder which you rename from OOBE to OLDOOBE to disable it.
When you are forced into a roll back for whatever installation has taken place, do you ever see a message about Shared Technologies?
And, whether or not the program installs to any extent, does your computer have the OOBE Folder? If so, then please rename it to disable it before
you try for another 9 install.

Trouble Installing Photoshop 5.5

Hello,
I am having trouble installing Photoshop 5.5 on my PowerPC. I have the upgrade disk, and the required Photoshop 3.0 disk (however, it's in Windows format). It asks for evidence of a previous version, such as a disk. The screen also says that if necessary, I can eject the 5.5 disk in order to insert the disk, but it will not let me, saying that it can't eject because the disk is in use! Thus, I cannot install PS 5.5 because I need the 3.0 disk, which I can't put in! Please help!

Hi, Abby. I've never heard of anyone updating a Windows version of Photoshop using a Macintosh updater, and it would be a big surprise to me if that were possible. The Mac updater expects to find a previous Mac version of PS installed on the Mac, complete with a proper Mac serial number. Finding nothing of the kind, it will probably never be willing to do anything for you, even if you manage to get past the chicken-and-egg problem described in your post. In short, I suspect your Windows version of Photoshop can only be updated after you install it on a Windows machine, and then only to a higher version of PS for Windows.
If you could get Adobe to swap your Windows PS 3 disc for a Mac PS 3, 4 or 5 disc, then install the Mac version, and then run the Mac PS 5.5 updater, I think you'd be in business. But I doubt that Adobe will be interested in doing that.

Trouble reinstalling photoshop cs3 after computer crashed

my computer crashed and now i am having trouble reinstalling photoshop cs3 on my computer. prior to the crash, i had saved the software on a cd. when i try to reinstall the software by clicking "run", a new file opens titled "ahmbed.gz" and the setup menu does not open. i have never had this issue before. i am not interested in purchasing an update, i only want to reinstall the version i already have on my computer. if you can please provide step-by-step information on how to solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated!

I have troubles download Photoshop CC to my WIndows XP. I checked my Creative Cloud and it says that Ps CC is installed and updated but it isn't saved in any of my files. I didn't have any problem downloading Lightroom but Ps CC doesn't want to work. I don't know too much abut computers so maybe I'm the problem.
Is there any way to reset it and download it again?

Try signing out and back in to the CC Desktop Application manager. This will force a full system scan, and it should know for sure whether Photoshop is installed or not.
If it says it is up to date, hit the Start button and then All programs and it should be there (possibly in an Adobe folder).

I don't know OSX, but I am aware that there have been a number of issues since Mavericks was introduced. You'll find an FAQ covering that here:

I've just looked through that, and didn't see anything specific regards CS5 updates.
From what you say, you have downloaded the update file?

Can you describe how the installation failed? Did you restart the computer before running it, and with no Adobe apps running as background processes?
With Windows, Bridge CS5 used to run in the Status bar, and prevent updates. You could either find it in via the Status bar pop-up and close it, or in Task Manager processes tab, and End Process. Is there a Mac user out there who can advise how this might work with Mavericks?

Yvonne, you definitely don't have the update installed if seeing 12.0 so any and all information as to what you have tried, any error messages, if just plain freezes, or what? The more clues, the better chance of finding a solution.

Windows 8 will not allow me to Update Photoshop 5

I want to update Photoshop 5 to add the Sony Alpha 7R raw files conversion, but when I use the update comand in Photoshop it give me a message which states that the server may me down or my firewall is blocking it. I have no trouble updating Lightroom. I am using a PC running Windows 8. Would appreaciate help/information. Thanks.

you need cr 8.3 for that camera.
ps cs5 can only be updated to cr 6.7
either upgrade ps (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/buying-guide.html) or use the dng converter (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=106&platform=Windows)
