Trouble updating PS CS6 on Windows 7 machine
Several of the operations out of LR 4.2 say I need to update to ACR 7.2. When I go to the Updates screen in CS6, I get a message saying the servers are busy, or possibly there is a problem with the firewall.
I logged off as my normal user and logged back in as the Administrator and tried it again and got the same message.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I checked the link for the link Camera Raw 7.2 Windows. I just don't trust links like that, and worse yet, the download file is called Setup.exe.
Not for me! It's Setup.zip and it opens as a zip archive via Explorer. Specifically:

If it looks like Setup.exe to you, you're right to be suspicious!

having trouble installing ProIX on new Windows 8 machine after XP crash. Get almost ll of the way through and get an error box ... contact system support. Only way out is to abort and then it un-installs. Wondering if a licensing max issue since we didn't get an opportunity to uninstall off of crashed machine?
Hey robr72339266,
With a single user license, you can install Acrobat on maximum two computers, say, your laptop at work and desktop at office.
But, you cannot use Acrobat on both the machines simultaneously.
You will first need to deactivate Acrobat from the old machine, then install and activate the software on the new OS with the same serial key.
Please Contact | Adobe to seek help on the same.

Why am i having trouble updating itunes on my windows 7 (64 bit) computer?
Why am I having trouble updating itunes on my windows 7 (64 bit) computer?
Doug
Thanks for the update.
nothing is getting installed, copied or otherwise loaded onto my computer....first the program starts to load, then it asks for my serial number, then it goes out and seems to check the serial number then it says it can't be installed then it erases everything it just spent 10 minutes loading.
In view of the above and your prior descriptions, have you tried alternative installation files?
If you want to give a look to that approach, please download and install the tryout files for Premiere Elements 9 from the following web site and then insert your purchased serial number into them during installation.
With this route, you need to carefully carry out the web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" in order to avoid an Access Denied message.

Back to my questions from post 3
Are you getting any Shared Technologies error message any where in the installation process that is failing?
If you follow the following path, do you find an OOBE Folder?
Local Disk C
Program Files (x86)
Common Files Folder
Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder should be the OOBE Folder which you rename from OOBE to OLDOOBE to disable it.
When you are forced into a roll back for whatever installation has taken place, do you ever see a message about Shared Technologies?
And, whether or not the program installs to any extent, does your computer have the OOBE Folder? If so, then please rename it to disable it before
you try for another 9 install.
Looking forward to your results.

Add On....Please remind me....since you purchased Premiere Elements 9, have you ever installed and used it successfully on any computer? -
When will you actually updated Dreamweaver CS6 for Windows 8?
Dreamweaver CS6 in Windows 8 becomes corrupt overtime. Last month I tried to update a PHP file and it crashed. After a few attempts, the program would not reopen. I went through tech support and they removed the .dat files. as suggested (as they could be corrput) and it did not work. I had to reinstall the program. Now the Find and Replace feature does not work and is currently crashing the program. Also, your current online documentation support is all under Vista and older window platdforms, nothing that mentions Windows 8. So as an FYI, They are not the same operating system. As the some of the locations of files within your documentation etc. are inaccurate. So as far as I can see, your online support and program is not current for Window 8 users.
Thanks. I don't have any of the operating systems mentioned below though. Whys is Windows 8 not mentioned? Should I follow the instructions for Windows 7?
Remove existing preferences
To remove existing preferences, follow the instructions below that are appropriate for your operating system and version of Dreamweaver.

Thanks !
DenisGo to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ and select Encore for Windows
Then click either of the two updates that show for CS6
Each update has trial as part of the file name... most odd -

Trouble installing Adobe CS6 on windows 7 desktop
I have the Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection on CD and I'm trying to download it to a Windows 7 desktop. When I place the CD in, it does NOT bring up any window. I opened it in file explorer but I can not find the Setup.exe. PLEASE HELP!!!
Are you sure the CD contains a Windows version? If it does, you can download the installation files and use the serial number from the disc to activate the installation.

I'm having trouble updating Fireworks CS6
Can't seem to get latest update in the cloud to take. It downloads then fails the install.
Hey George,
As Extension Manager is a shared component you may not find a seperate uninstaller in the control panel.
You have to either uninstall any single product like Photoshop or fireworks or uninstall the complete suites.
Re-install shall fix the corrupt file.
Having said that you may also try the below suggestion which will not require you to uninstall and re-install any product.
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS6\Adobe Extension Manager CS6.exe"
Rename the existing version "Adobe Extension Manager CS6, e.g. to AEMCS6-old.exe
Open the media, Download install files:
Navigate to Adobe CS6\payloads\AdobeExtensionManager6.0All\Assets1_1.zip
Sort by name, and pick file 1 (full name _1_22e262c67d75893f0c113606faee3e48)
Extract it to Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS6
Rename it to Adobe Extension Manager CS6.exe
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Second, you're crashing in an OS DLL.
My guess would be a corrupt OS install (due to disk damage or malware). -
I have Photoshop CS6 Extended windows version. Is there an update to allow me to also use it on my Mac laptop?
The disc you used would have been the install disc that came with your Mac. These can only be used on that as they are made for that specific model.
Make sure your machine meets requirements
Macs with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core i3, Intel Core i5, Intel Core i7, or Xeon processor.)
At least 2GB of RAM
Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later (Mac OS X 10.6.8 is recommended)
7 GB of free hard drive space is recommended
Once you've purchased it would be a good idea to create a bootable DVD or USB

But you can also go into the purchased section and download again -
I just updated iTunes to the 11.1.4.62 (as the pop up directed me to) on my Windows 8 machine. As a result iTunes will no longer recognize my 5th generation Ipod Nano (yes two). I receive a pop up saying "Ipod has been detected but could not be identified properly" I've followed the recommendations seveal times: a) disconnected and reconnected. b) rebooted computer c) unistalled and reinstalled iTunes d) tried different cables e) tried different USB porst f) rebooted Ipod.... the window keeps popping up like a middle finger (you get the point)
iTUnes WILL however, recognize my 4th gen Nano and my 80gb Video (classic) without problem
Needless to say, I'm frustrated and ticked off over all of this wasted time.
Anyone solved this issue yet?
Any good suggestions?
Please advise
Kindest regards,c) unistalled and reinstalled iTunes
Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

ICloud will not update on Window 7 machine
For several months, iCloud updates will not install. I get a 2343 error on my Windows 7 machine. The iTunes updates work if I download and manually install. This is not the case with iCloud. I used the MS Fixit without success. Can someone assist?
Same problems here!

Windows 7 crashed after Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium completed an update. The only Windows restore point that worked was pre-installation of CS6 software. Now when trying to reinstall I get the 'installer failed to initialize' message. Have tried using the CC Cleaner Tool but nothing works? Any solution please. Was new computer and newly purchased CS6 software downloaded 2 days prior to the upgrade.
make sure you follow all the steps here, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

C309g disappeared from Windows 7 machine after HP update ran
We have had a c309g attached via the LAN to a Cisco-LinkSys E3000 since December. Several computers have the printer installed, including a Dell desktop running XP SP3 (connects via LAN), a Dell laptop running Vista Business SP2 (connects wirelessly) and a Dell laptop running Windows 7 (connects wirelessly).
Last week we got a popup advising HP updates were available and applied them (this occurred on the Windows 7 and Vista machines; not sure aboit the XP machine). After doing so, the printer was no longer accessible from the Win7 machine, and the HP Solution Center on that machine indicated the installation was not complete. The other computers were OK.
I corrected the problem on the Windows 7 machine by going to
All Programs -> HP -> PhotoSmart Premium c309g-m -> Add a Device
then completing the wizard.
The first question is, why did applying the HP updates corrupt the installation, and only on the Windows 7 machine? Have others had this problem?
A second question is, how can I view the update history? I have no idea what got updated - was it the Solution Center or the driver (on each individual machine), or the software on the C309G itself? The web interface shows version numbers but no history information, and Solution Center doesn't even have a Help -> About option - you have to re-launch it and write the version down "real quick like a bunny" as my first COBOL instructor used to say way back when Hector was a pup (yes, he used to say that, too).+You can always rewrite the internal BIOS regardless which version you have now. Just make sure you checked all the settings in this program.
Go back into the BIOS settings, then find the optical drive. Make sure it is not disabled there, select IDE-ATA or maybe SATA. Don't forget to save the settings on exit.
After you will start the Windows, go to the Device Manager, right-click on your PC name, and select Scan for hardware changes.+
I have tried to rewrite it with the .exe BIOS file, which I got from the official link. But when I start that file it stops, saying that the version I try to install is not newer than the actual one. If there is any other way I could use this .exe BIOS file to rewrite my BIOS, please let me know. I couldn't figure it out so far. In the old times I just made a bootable floppy disc with the BIOS files on it and it worked, never told me not to install an older version or anything like that. But now this InsydeFlash doesn't let me do that.
I can't find the optical drive in the BIOS. Anyway, there is a setting there, so I tried to change that setting from AHCI to IDE(Compatibility), but no result.
The Device Manager in Windows still not able to find it.
By the way, what could that yellow light on the DVD drive mean? It turns on as soon as I switch my laptop on.
Edit: I managed to extract the individual files from the 7-Zip .exe, I changed the flag, so it didn't check the BIOS versions anymore, then I did rewrite the BIOS to the original version (which was active when I bought the laptop), the DVD drive is not visible anywhere, everything else is fine. So I guess it is a hardware problem afterall, it wasn't a BIOS, so it has to go and get repaired.

Help updating cs6 in windows 8
I try ad open a photo in cs6 and it locks up every time I can only open them from bridge sometimes.
when i try and update CS6 in windows 8 i keep getting a error message.
Here is what the message says:
Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.3
Done with Errors. Error Code: U44M1P6
I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3-4 times and its the same issue every time.
Can someone please help with these issues. For John's information, I tried a Legacy Driver. Made no difference. When trying to record in CS6, I could see the video, but when trying to record, message received that no frames recorded. Nothing would happen. Left everything the same, same hookup, closed CS6, opened CS5.5 and recording happened. My guess is that Windows 8 may have changed a file in CS6 that prevents recording. I haven't tried recording to tape yet.
