I AM HAVING TROUBLE UPLOADING PHOTOS FROM PC TO IPAD. I GET SOME PHOTOS UPLOADED AND THEN TRY TO ADD MORE.. AND ALL THE PREVIOUS ONES DISAPPEAR! THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING. CANT I ADD NEW PHOTOS ONCE I  UPLOAD ANY!

If you REALLY want to use the stock Photos (I wouldn't as it has major problems as is also explained both at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/all-one-photo-viewer-roundup-70-price-drop-bes t-image-viewer and in the https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3812013?start=345&tstart=0 thread here - look directly at the first two messages), you need to ceate subfolders in parallel to the original ones. Then, the previously synched pics won't disappear.
But, again, I do NOT recommend using the built-in Photos. Using third-party apps like Photo Manager Pro is the way to go until Apple fix the issues with Photos.

I am having trouble uploading photos onto a website from iPhoto.  It will allow me to upload certain photos but others it doesn't give me the option to click "Open" - it is greyed out.

Why am I having trouble uploading photos from iPhoto on mac after update

    Good day!
What does this have to do with Photoshop?
Wouldn’t the question better be asked on a Macintosh Forum?

  • Have a message of an error while uploading photo on to a site

Wondered if anyone else has had this problem.  Tried to upload photos on to a selling site and while uploading an error flashed up in red.  Error while uploading. This was while using my Pro Mac laptop.
Can anyone advise please?  Thank you

What service are you trying to access?

  • Unable to upload photos to any hosting site since upgrading to Tiger....

....while using Safari this is the error message that I get when trying to upload photos to any site (http://www.PictureTrail.com or any other site like it):
    Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.scubadivingsingles.com/members/profile.jsp?a=upload”. The error was: “POSIX error: Invalid argument” (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:22) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
When using FireFox uploading photos to any site is no problem so I'm wondering if there is something in Safari's preferences that needs to be addressed to correct this minor problem but I haven't been able to locate it.
    Anyone have any ideas??

    Hi
this problem is almost always due to Safari's web cache being disabled, either manually, or after using some 3rd party Safari add-on or enhancer app.
Use Finder to view the folder /Home/Library/Caches/ & ctrl-click on the Safari folder & choose 'get info'. you may see that the Folder is 'locked' or set to 'Read only' ..... Uncheck the 'locked' box if it is checked & change the Read Only to Read & Write & your problem should be resolved.
You could also quit safari & trash the entire /Home/Library/Caches/Safari/ folder. Safari will create a new folder with normal read/write access when it is started next time.

  • Trouble uploading photos

    Hi,
I have only just moved to a mac a month or so ago and am having some trouble.
The computer does not like me uploading photos on either one of my cameras.. sometimes it works (rarely) but most time it freezes.
On image capture it comes up with 'waiting for device' and will stay like that. On iphoto it searches for them but never finds it, I end up having to force quit it. if i open it in finder they don't appear.
Like i said sometimes it works but only once in a blue moon. It seems like lately it doesn't work at all. and more often then not i have to turn the computer off by pressing and holding the button cos everthing has frozen up. If anyone can help me that would be great!!
    thanks
    Jess

    Hi Jess,
We need more details please. What kind of camera? How are you connecting the camera to the Mac? USB? A reader?
Try repairing disk permissions: Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select FirstAid, then click: Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot.
Also, if you complete your profile it would help. I assume you are using an Intel based iMac, but which OS? 10.4.x 10.5.x ?? To view this information, click the Apple logo top left in your Desktop, then click; About This Mac. The information is displayed there.
Also, make sure you have sufficient disk space to upload images to. Right or control click your MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black arrow next to: General so it faces down. You will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you always have a minimum of 10% free disk space.

Run Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities) once a week and Repair Disk Permissions:
Launch Disk Utility. Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select FirstAid, then click: Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot.
*Tip... very important: Run Disk Utility BEFORE and AFTER all software updates. That will save you headaches

  • Firefox crashes when I try to upload photos onto a Snapfish site or when I'm in email I try to open or attach a document.

For a couple of months, I have had trouble with Firefox crashing anytime I am using Hotmail and I try to attach or open a document, or if I try to upload photos onto Snapfish.

In the address bar, type '''about:crashes'''<enter>.''' Note:''' If any reports do not
have '''BP''' in front of the numbers, click it and select '''Submit'''.
Using your mouse, '''mark''' the most '''resent 7 - 10''' crash reports, and
'''copy''' them. Now go to the reply box below and '''paste''' them in.
Start '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Firefox in Safe Mode]''' {web Link} by holding down the '''<Shift><br> ''(Mac Options)'' ''' key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

  • Trouble uploading photos to Photoshop Album Starter 3.0

I an trying to upload photos from my iphone to an old version of photpshop album starter 3.0 which was working last week beautifully. Now however, it retrieves the photos and says the application must shut down. The pictures never get uploaded! what do I do??

Hello. Because this forum is for people learning the basics of Photoshop, I'm moving your post to the Photoshop Album Starter Edition forum, where it can receive specialized attention.

  • Since I downloaded Firefox 12, I am unable to upload photos to a web site. Works fine in IE. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to upload photos to web page to display and the photos will no longer upload since I loaded Firefox 12. I can upload in IE with no problem.

    Hi CarolPre,
What website is it that you are referring to? I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.
You could also try [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles?s=create+a+new+profile&r=2&e=es&as=s#w_creating-a-profile Creating a new profile].
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Trouble uploading photos from iPad 2 to Blog?

    Hi Everyone,
After submitting this question to the forum...and reading many responses, I took matters into my own hands.  (Apple was unable to offer a successful solution.)
    Apple has an ap:  BLOGPRESS
This works perfectly with Google's Blog...also known as BlogSpot...
So, pass the word....I called Apple to let them know that this solution was previously offered on this forum.  Even though some said it didn't work, it sure does.  Any/All photos downloaded to your iPad absolutely WILL be accessible to you when you want to post them to the blog.
I am new to the iPad and took it to Italy last week.  Though I was able to blog, I could not add photos.  Thanks to BlogPress, now I can.  I will be going to Spain & France with a group of students and be able to post their photos on the blog.
    Hope this helps

You can also use the Google+ App to upload photos to BlogSpot. When inserting a photo in your blog, select From Phone, and the photos on Google+ will be available for posting in your blog.
It takes a few minutes for the photos to show up, but once they are there, you can use them. Just be sure to have Gooble+ App running while updating your blog.
There is also an App called Blogster that is supposed to work with the iPad. You can find it on iTunes.
