Trouble using an N96 with CK-7W

Hi All,
I have just updated my phone from N95 to an N96, I now find that I'm having trouble with some calls giving the other person an echo. (not all calls)
The other problem is the sound goes all pixilated (if thats the right word) every few minnutes for 5 - 10 seconds.
I;m aware that some non Nokia phones have the echo problem with the CK7, but it is usually all the time, I seem to have an intermitant problem, and sometimes hanging up and redialing the call fixes the problem.
The kit is quite a few years old, and I have used it successfuly with 6230, 6230i (both wired and BT and N95 with a Carcomm cradle and problem only surfaced with N96.
I have my eye on the CK-15, but would like to fix comatability problems with CK-7 to utillise it in my wifes car.

The software on the N96 is still pretty early with updates coming quite regularly.
You can update the software on the phone using software updater which is attached to pcsuite.

With regards to a new kit, the Ck-15W is being replaced by the CK-600 shortly, however the CK-300 or CK-100 might be a better option for you unless you really want a separate display.

Trouble using external iSight with MacBook Pro (which has built in camera)

Have a question for you. I have a new MacBook Pro 17". I also have a 23" Cinema Display, and a left over Firewire external iSight camera (which I used to love).
Frequently I "dock" my MBP with my 23". I either use the dual-screen between the two, or I close the lid on the MBP, let it go to sleep, then wake it back up with a BT keyboard or mouse, letting it go to a single-screen mode on only the 23" Cinema Display.
So, I'm trying to use my external Firewire iSight with my MBP, and I'm getting mixed results -- the best of which is where I am getting some video with regular, occasional freezes with the picture being split (like a v-hold problem on an old TV). After a pause it goes back to smooth video.
I guess primarily, I'm wanting to know what the world of two iSights (FW and built-in) look like, and can they work together? I cannot for the life of me get this FW iSight to work consistently, but I know it works perfectly in another G5 tower (which has no built-in camera).
Any suggestions or guidance?

You can have two iSights connected at one time, but, as explained in Apple's iSight "Your camera is in use by another application" message, iSight can be used by only one application at a time. (my emphasis)
Different apps select between multiple connected cameras in different ways. For instance, iChat > Preferences... > Video settings can select which camera to use with the iChat app, but iMovie 6 uses a drop-down menu as shown in this picture:
The suggestions in How to Troubleshoot iSight should help you determine whether one of your iSights is causing trouble. I suggest you test each one separately and without your external display or other peripherals to rule out possible conflicts.
After you are certain that your iSights are working individually, test them when both are connected. After your system successfully passes these tests, you can add your external devices back one-by-one to be sure one of them is not causing the problem.

Trouble Using Push Addressing with Junk Mail

I would like to push mail receiving a tag2 ("* JUNK MAIL *") to a user's mailbox called "Spam" rather than having it go to the user's inbox.
I have tried to use "push addressing" to achieve this; however, I am having trouble.
I think the trouble I am having relates to the fact that all of our mail uses postfix style aliases. The postfix push system doesn't seem to want to handle postfix style aliases.
For example, as a test ...
if I send to [email protected]
... the mail gets correctly pushed to the Spam mailbox (joelmcintosh is my user name)
if I send to [email protected]
... the mail goes to my inbox (jmcintosh is an alias).
Any ideas how I might go about solving this?
Below is some added background about my setup that may (or may not be of value):
(1) I have set the "Spam" mailbox to receive posting from "anyone" using SirAdmin (i.e., I've added an ACL of "p" for anyone).
(2) The main.cf file included this:

I'm using Acrobat XI Pro. I don't have Reader installed on my laptop. The form is for a client who sends it out to patients to fill out, so I need it work with both mail clients and web mail. Is there a way to do that? I don't think changing that preference in my Acrobat will solve the problem, as that will just effect my Acrobat. Is there a setting I can apply to the actual document? Trouble using AVCHD-Lite with iMovie '08

I am using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 to import AVCHD-Lite video into iMovie'08. Having trouble with playback running faster than normal. I've heard from another post that iMovie '09 will solve the problem, is this true? Also, am using Final Cut Express 4, this too is running the import faster than normal, any recommendations?

Understand your problem. It is said that iMovie 8 can import Avchd video, but still will bring problem. To save time and in order to get good quality I now still always convert the AVCHD file to DV, MOV formats and then import to iMovie for editing. The converter i used is Moyea HD video converter for Mac, can download free for trial.

Trouble using DIO write with ELVIS

I am a student currently learning how to use LabView 7.0 with NI ELVIS. I am having trouble getting the DIO lines to work. I first tried using the example programs that LabView offered but all I get are errors. Next I tried using the bypass on the ELVIS and the proper NI VI's in LabView. I still get no respose, I just don't know if I am setting my VI's up properly. My initial goal was to access the LED array on the right hand side of the board using the DIO lines. I know my LED's work but I cannot seem to get any respose from the DIO lines. Can anyone offer suggestions?

Do you have
the NI ELVIS driver? If not, you can download it by visiting our Drivers and
Updates page here. Once you have the driver I would recommend that you try the Digital Writer express VI
from the NI ELVIS palette. This VI can be accessed by going to your Function
Palette and selecting Measurement I/O>>NI ELVIS. If you place the Digital Writer VI onto the Block Diagram in LabVIEW, an NI ELVIS soft front panel should open to allow you to configure the VI. You can also run this soft front panel on its own by clicking on the Run button. With the application running you should be able to toggle the digital lines by clicking the radio buttons labelled line0 through line7.
You can click on OK and the express VI will become part of your Block Diagram. Now, you should be able to programmatically control the digital outputs. I hope this information is helpful. Let us know if you continue to have any problems.

Jsp newbie having trouble using JSP's with Jdev 10.1.3

Have been bashing my head for about two hours with this, if anyone can help will substantially improve my life.
First off apologies if question is stupid or obvious I am a jsp newbie.
Have been experimenting with using the Jsp Taglibrary for tabbed panes in a browser.

I'm having trouble using Firefox 4 with Tor Project software. Please help. Will there be an updated Tor Button add-on for Firefox 4.0 soon? If not, how can I get rid of 4.0 and go to an earlier, but stable Firefox version?

I'm trying to use Tor Project for anonymous browsing. I updated my Firefox to 4.0, but I can't get a Tor Button to download, because it isn't available for Firefox 4.o.
Will it be soon?
If not, how do I go back to an earlier, stable version of Firefox that supports Tor Button browsing?

See if the "stable" version released on 30 June is compatible with Firefox 5.0. That page doesn't mention which versions of Firefox it is compatible with, a serious oversight, IMO. <br />

Trouble using USB keyboard with GarageBand

I have a Yamaha DGX-305 keyboard with a USB out. I want to record the real instrument using GarageBand, rather than using MIDI input. Is this possible? GarageBand isn't recognizing the keyboard when I simply plug it in. I've downloaded what looks to be the appropriate driver form the Yamaha site. It sounds like some keyboards are set up for plug-and-play. Is there a way I can get this to work where GarageBand records the real instrument via USB? Thanks.

I am still having trouble using my 551L with Mac OS X. Any Advice?

For a little while I was able to get it to work by Unplugging everything else from the 4 USB Ports on my Mid Year 2010 Mac Mini (the $699.99 Model at the time, NOT the $999.99 Model at the time), but it has now Stopped working again. I do have access to Apple Mac USB Diagnostic Tools, as I am in the Paid Apple Developer Programs (the $99 a year Memberships at http://developer.apple.com/ by the way) and I will Download and Run the Tool if Necessary. I was just wondering if anyone else here is having the same problem as me, and I have actually talked with Verizon (on the Phone) about this issue once before, by the way. TIA.

I can only imagine how tedious this has been for you. I use my usb modem all of the time and I want yours to work just as easy as mine!
I triple checked my resources and I found that having the most current Apple OS as well as the most current version of VZ Access Manager by visiting www.vzam.net.

Is anyone having trouble using Dreamweaver CS5 with Windows 7?

I've just started using Dreamweaver and thought I could import source code from an HTML newsletter template I had and just update it with the new text and pictures. I started a new HTML page, imported the source code into the workspace, then started updating it. However, all I get is code when I try to preview the file in the design view or a web browser. What am I doing wrong? I've attached a screen cap of what I'm seeing.

Just a nit - you are not *importing* anything. You are just copying and pasting. I'm just sayin'.
When you paste HTML code into Design view, all of the HTML brackets ("<" and ">") are converted to HTML entities ("<" and ">", respectively), which makes the result look like code in Design view, but there is no 'display' to be rendered other than the text.

Trouble using Photoshop CC with Surface Tablet with Pen input.

I installed Creative Cloud in my Windows Surface Pro 8.1 Tablet. The software works well, but I am unable to use Photoshop with the pen input device provided with the tablet. I'm trying to draw freehand using the Pencil command in Photoshop, but the pen only draws diagonal lines from the left edge of the drawing. This does not happen when I use the computer's mouse, with which I can draw freehand as usual, no problem. The pen device also works well with Adobe Illustrator. I installed all the available updates. I would appreciate any help.

There are supposed to be new software announcements tomorrow... I'd watch to see whether what you're hoping to do will be better supported.

Trouble using JMXMP Security with TLS example

I can get it working fine, but only if the first private key entry in the server side's keystore is the one that matches a certificate in the client's truststore. This leads me to believe that there is no way to select a particular private key for use with a JMXMP connection across TLS, i.e. TLS always chooses the first key entry it encounters in the keystore. Is this true?

Trouble using external iSight with MacBook Pro

So I bought a macbook pro and 23inch external display, decided to go on ebay and get an isight camera, found one brand new in the box....the problem Im having now is it will not work for audio, video works just fine but no audio, I have set up the proper resources but no dice, is this an issue or is it the isight?

So external iSight can give both audio and video if the application you are using to operate the iSight supports both functions. Many applications have preferences or menu items that can effect iSight operation, so check your settings.
Connect your iSight directly to your Mac and use the suggestions in How to test your (external) iSight to ensure it is functional. If you continue to have problems, the suggestions on that page will help you troubleshoot to find the source of your problem and fix anything that is user-correctable.
There are no user-serviceable parts in iSight, so if everything you can do fails, your iSight will need professional service unless you can exchange it for one that works. If the external iSight you bought on eBay is not covered by warranty from either Apple or the seller, see your local Apple Service Provider for service.
If your iSight needs parts that you or your Service Technician cannot locate, http://www.synaptech.com may be able to help you obtain those that are still available.

Your Mac Pro does not have a thunderbolt port. It will only work with the Cinema display.

I am having an issue using my Iphone with Bluetooth in my car. If I am driving, and my wife uses her phone to access google and type in anything, it activates the phone feature, and "Talking" appears on our Navi screen. Can anyone help?

We are having trouble using our Iphone with the Bluetooth system in our 2012 Highlander. When I am driving and my wife, using her Iphone, uses Google and types in anything at all, letters of numbers, it activates the phone on our Navigation system and initiates a call. It goes away after a few seconds, but happens every time.
No problem pairing the phone with the car's bluetooth, and no problems making calls.
Just returned from our Toyota dealer, who had no answers.
Can anyone help on this?

This happens when I am driving, and my wife, using her Iphone, accesses Google.com. Once she is on the web site, and she types in her search, it activates the phone on the Navi system, and the screen on the navi system says "talking".
I have a Blackberry, and it is also paired with the car, but we make sure only my wife's Iphone is connected when the happens.
