Trouble using facetime on another device with same apple id

Hi
I am having trouble using facetime with my wife. I have an iPad 2 and she has an IPhone 4S. When we try to facetime, we are able to connect for a few seconds and then it drops off. We are then unable to reconnect. We both have the same apple Id and e-mail address although I am trying to contact her via her mobile number. Any suggestions would be grateful received.

The lower mic is faulty, either due to logic board fault or lower mic itself fault. If lower mic itself, the replacement part is iPhone charging port assembly with flex cable, lower mic, and home button flex connector all a less than $10 single part. The reason the speakphone still works is because it uses the upper mic, which is at the small pin hole at top of iPhone next to headphone jack port.

Me and my fiancé both just got an iPhone 4 on the same plan when we try to use FaceTime we hear each other but can't see each other we had turned FaceTime off then back on and doesn't work. What else can we do?

Are you both on WiFi? If so, do both of you have a good, strong, fast WiFi connection? That's the most likely problem.

I am having a difficult time using facetime to call a friend in Europe I am calling from Canada Her phone number in France is 0607------
If I were to call using a regular phone call it would be 01133607------ (notice the 0 is left out in front of the 6)

We both have wifi, and when she calls me it works but when I call her even through the phone icon and not contacts, it does not work. I have used facetime to call Canadian friends in France with no problems. I think I have the number wrong some how.

The international number for France starts with 0033... or +33..., followed by the mobile number without the "0"

If i am making a normal GSM call on iPhone 4 and then i turn my WIFI and switch to Facetime.
Does my normal GSM call get cut off or terminated when i am on Facetime ?

Since no one here has received or used an iPhone 4 yet, and no user guide or details were posted yet, can't really say for sure how it works. My guess is that a FaceTime call has to be initiated from the outset, not added during a call.

TS4185 Trouble using FaceTime between a new MacBook Pro 13" and iPad2.

I recently upgaded my daughter's 2008 MacBook to a new 13" MacBook Pro.
Since the upgrade we are unable to FaceTime from her new MacBook Pro to my iPad2. Calls start OK but then after a few seconds video freezes at the iPad end and then goes black. Audio continues in both directions and video from iPad2 to the MacBook Pro is OK.
This didn't happen with the old MacBook and nothing else has changed. I can receive FaceTime calls from the MacBook Pro on my iPhone 4S in the same location where the iPad2 will not work.
I think the problem is the higher video resolution from the MacBook Pro. I have 100Mbps broadband, iPad2 shows over 35Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload on Speedtest.net. I have tried resetting the iPad2 a number of times with no effect.
- Is it possible to lower the resolution beng sent from the MacBook Pro ?
- Any other ideas ?

I'm hoping someone is able to come up with an easy solution to my problem. I recently bought a Macbook pro and registered my Apple Id, iCloud etc. on it, it all worked fine and I could use Facetime to other users. Today I then got an iPhone 4S and when registering it I used the same Apple Id and also password. It soon set things up on the phone, however I could not use facetime to our Macbook or to others. At the same time I could no longer use the facetime app on the Macbook. I can understand that I might not be able to register to Apple products with the same Id etc. and be able to connect between them, but does anyone know a simple solution to this. Can I set up a second Apple Id for the Phone and then use facetime between them?
I look forward to hear from anyone who's more into their Apple products than me ;0)

Yes it is possible.
After you activate the apps on all of your devices with your Apple ID - you then have to add another email address at which you can be reached on all but one of the devices - and then remove your Apple ID email address as the contact address on those devices. You can keep the ID on one device as the address at which you can be reached.
It is really very simple to do, but this user posted this some type ago and it explains how to do it. You can also Google it and find other sites that explain it. But here you go ....
