Trouble using FME twice on same computer

I've tried for two weeks to run FME twice for two separate streams and get intermittent crashes, even with reconnect set at 5 minutes, one second so that the server can release the "old" stream name. I am now running one instance of FME and one instance of Windows Encoder Expressions 4 and no problems at all. Any ideas? Thanks.

Ok I had a look at the FMLE manual which can be found here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashMediaLiveEncoder/3.0/Using/flashmedialiveencoder_3_help.p df
On page page 14 it says that you can configure a Backup streaming server:
Backup URL
Specifies the fully qualified URL of a backup server and application (optional). If you specify a backup server, Flash Media Live Encoder streams to both servers.
So if you want to stream the same stream to two different servers, just specify the 2nd server as your backup server.
The FMLE manual also tells you out to run multiple instances from the command line and how to control those instances, so I think if you want to do anything more than 2 servers, using FMLEcmd is the way to go.

They can, but not at the same time.
If one user left iTunes running, and another user tries to use iTunes from a different Windows user ID, that second user will get an error message. If they really want to use iTunes, they either have to beg the first user to log in and close iTunes, or else they have to restart the computer.
If you are asking the technical reason why, it is something about context switching.

Is there a reason this is happening? iPad one is an iPad 1 and the second is an iPad 2 not sure if this has something to do with it. I just tried to upgrade to IOS 5 and when it went to back up it gave me an error code (-5000). I tried to back up using iTunes and it told me that my backup was corrupted and to delete it and try to back up again. When I went into the device portion where I was instructed to go to delete the backup I found that there was no backup for my iPad just the iPad 1.
I have synced many times and all of the apps, podcasts, music, etc... show up in iTunes, and iTunes recognizes that is is the second iPad but there is not a backup for it.
Any Ideas?

It's no problem. I hope this explanation simplifies the information in the Link Demo gave you. It's how I think most people do it...
To avoid having to pay again for apps you have already purchased, use the same Apple ID (likely the current one) on both devices. You can adjust this in:
Settings > iTunes & App Store.
So that you can communicate with each other, use separate Apple IDs for iCloud, Messages, and FaceTime. Adjust those in:
Settings > iCloud
Settings > Messages
Settings > FaceTime

Our daughter has loaded her iPod onto our family computer and created an account. I now have my own iPod for which i want my own library, which will include photo's. How can I use my iPod and sync to my library without syncing to my daughter's.
I also need to download the library on my iPod onto my own library. I somehow had a library but it has been wiped clean due to a restore. Is there a way of reverse backing up from my iPod to my computer.

Transferring tracks from an iPod back to iTunes has been covered here a number of times already, but again:
First, you need to prevent automatic synchronzation with a blank copy of iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer, hold down the Shift and Ctrl keys in Windows. This should stop the iPod from auto synching with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 3 and 25 seconds depending on your computer.
Then if you're using iTunes 7, you can then copy music that you purchased from the iTunes Store back to iTunes directly (use the Transfer Purchases From iPod command under the iTunes File menu).
If you're not using iTunes 7 or want to copy back other tracks, the easiest way will be to search VersionTracker for "iPod". You'll find a number of utilities that can transfer your tracks and your playlists from your iPod back to your PC.
It's also possible to do this manually, but the procedure is rather involved. If you're interested, though, see this thread:

Trouble using 2 ipods on 1 computer.

I bought a new ipod touch and my gf is now using my old one. We share the same computer and I set up a separate itunes account for her and a separate admin user id on the computer. I registered my new ipod but the old one still shows up as being a registered devise on my account. How do I remove it? The problem seems to be that, unless we constantly switch users, when she plugs in to charge up, and happens to be on my user name, my info ie: when purchasing apps my apple id shows up and my password is requested for purchase.

- If there are iTunes purchases on her iPod that were purchased with you account, the iPo d will ask for the pasward for your account to update those apps.
- If you go to Settings>Store, you can change the the iTunes account on the iPod. Just sign out of the old one and sign into the other one.

I am using same FND_REQUEST to send email, log is getting printed in view_log.
But email is not send ...

The second submit is within an elsif so both programs will never get fired.
It will be either first or the second.
Also check if the program is getting launched but some other issues are preventing email. Try to submit some other program in the ELSE part.

Using 2 iPods on same computer

I have an iPod already registered and in use on my computer. Now I need to add a nano as well. When I go to register the nano the info for the iPod shows up. Do I register the nano by typing the new information over the iPod info?

I ended up registering the nano by phone. However now that the nano is connected to the computer and on itunes, I dont get a "Mary's ipod" listed in the itunes source list. Now my nano is connected to the computer with a "do not disconnect" on it. I dont have an "eject ipod" or "safely remove hardware" choice on the computer. How do i take care of both issues?

If Pages and the other applicatioins installed in the Applications in the root directory they can be used by everyone. By default all programs installed by the App store are installed in the Applications folder in the root. In other words, your family members should be able to use the programs. Can they not?

Hello....I have 8500 pictures on my laptop. The majority of them are family, etc. but, alot of them are pictures made for one of my hobbies. Is there any way I can have 2 iphotos...for example, iphoto 5 and iphoto 6 and use one for personal photos and one for hobbies? If not, do you have any suggestions for separating them. I have them in 'albums' but, I would like not to have hobbies in the same library as personal.
Also, is it possible when editing photos in iphoto to be able draw (circles, squares,etc.) on the picture? If not, could you recommend a good inexpensive program that will do it?

With iPhoto 6 you can have more than one library, which should solve the issue for you.
Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'. Give it a distinctive name - Hobby Library or whatever.
To select which library to use simply hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto, this time select 'Choose Library'.
When working with multiple libraries many people swear by iPhoto Library Manager for managing and moving pics between libraries. It's well worth the small investment.
As to editing and drawing on the pics, no iPhoto won't do this. Depending on budget your options stretch from Photoshop Elements (Check Amazon for the best discount price). However, a new entrant on the market is the lightweight and very easy to use Acorn.

Hello i am having trouble using camera raw on my computer.

I have have an Imac desktop computer and am currently running on CS5. I own a Canon Rebel T5i and when I try to edit my photos in camera raw I receive an error. I tried to call customer support and they told me that I needed to download an update version 7.4, however the newest one I am able to fine is 6.7 which is the current version I am using. Is there anything that I can do because the 7.4 DNG converter is the only thing available and I an unaware of what this does.

The DNG converter is a standalone program that will read your raw images and create DNG (digital negative) copies of those raw images. The DNG files contain the original raw image data. And you will be able Open those DNG files with your older version of Camera Raw and use all of the features in the version that you have. The DNG converter is NOT a standalone Camera Raw. But it creates a copy of your raw images that contains the raw image data in a format they can be used with older versions of Camera Raw.
