Trouble using Sample Compression VI in LabView

When I run my VI which includes the sample compression sub VI, I get no errors however I get no output onto the graph I am plotting to. WHen I take out the sample compression sub VI, my uncompressed data plots fine.

I have managed to get my data plotting using the sample compression sub VI. The reason I had no data showing up in my plot was that my input to the compression was a series of data points, so when it compresses 1 point by a factor of 10 I got zero points. So obviously nothing showed up on the plot and there were no errors. I had to change my input to a waveform format where the data was interpreted as a group of points it could compress and still be left with data to plot.
I do have one question for you. I have my data plotting, and I am trying to plot it vs degrees. It is a radiation pattern of an antenna I am working on. So I would plot the voltage data (which is turned into the original power levels in dB by a ratio given to me by the receiver I am using) vs degrees ranging from -90 to +90. Into the graph I have both of these sets of data. Ok..now to the problem When I plot, the voltage data only covers from -90 to -80. I am not sure why it is doing this. I thought it was because I am compressing the points so there are not as many, so I need to space them out by the same factor as I am compressing them. I tried this but it didnt change anything.
I have attached the VI. If you could help me out that would be great.

I am Having Trouble Copy and Pasteing Local Variable in LabVIEW 2010 in s subVI.
I have a VI that has a Local Variable called "Node Addr". I can select it OK, and it appears to Copy OK, But when I go to paste it, nothing appears. It doesn't matter if I use Cntrl-C Cntrl-V or the Copy and Paste from the Edit menu, I get the same results. I tried many times and got the same results. I made sure that I had click a paste location. I can insert the Local Variable if I use the Data Communication panel.
On one of the Paste, I got an error in the error list that said that a Local Variable was not connected to anything. When I clicked on the error, it took me to an insible item in the lower right corner of the block diagram that had nothing but a select box around it. I couldn't select the invisible item, but I could delete it.
Why does the copy and paste of this local variable not work?

The Data Communication panel is one of the panels that shows up in the Functions pop up list when editing the Block Diagram. It is the panel that includes the Local Variable function.
I don't know if the invisible item that was inserted in my block diagram was hidden or not. All I know is that the Errors List said that it was a Local Variable and that it was not connected to anything. I couldn't select it to get more information. All I could do was delete it.
You did not address my questions about why the Copy and Paste does not work properly for my Local Variable. Maybe it's a sign from the Software Gods not to use them LOL!..
So if I understand correctly, you are trying to copy & paste the Local Variable from within the same VI. How large is your block diagram? Did you try right-click on the variable and select "Find > Local Variables"? If it's a block diagram larger than 1 single screen (which it shouldn't), then it is possible that the Local is hiding beyond the screen. You should find it as I described earlier.

I am having trouble connecting to the RAM database. The error I get is
"In stored procedure XWD_RAMSTARTUP: The following Express Server error occurred: Database GLB must remain current becasue the TEST program is still executing it."
The express database GLB is the global computing sample given by oracle doc.
My Test program defined in Express Administrator for GLB has the following code:

You can select table name dynamic way , but you have to write ABAP code (Selection screen).

I'm having trouble using Adobe Reader

I'm having trouble using or uninstalling Adobe Reader, i get a message when the programme has been anitiated which says Adobe Reader has encountered a problem and needs to close, i went on to Adobe's website and it said try uninstalling Adobe Reader and then re-install it as this sometimes works, i tried un-installing it from the Add or Remove programme but that didn't work either as i got another message telling me that the patch package could not be verified and to make sure i have permission.

i am currently using the pixelink camera pl b741 f, however i am facing a problem when i use the "get frame dll" in labview.
my program works when in highlight execution mode, however when i run it in normal mode i get the following message:
Labview: an exception occurred within the external code called by a library node function node. This might have corrupted labview's memory. Save any work to a new location and restart labview. VI "amol_getimage.vi" was stopped at node "" at a call to "MEPU- acquisition-getframe .vi"

It's simple! You made an error in the configuration of your Call Library Node. It could be a number of reasons but the two most likely ones are that you get a variable wrong to be passed by Value while it should be by Reference or vice versa, or that you call the function which expects a buffer it can write in the results (the image frame is a likely candiate) and didn't create a large enough buffer in LabVIEW to be passed to the function.
I actually think this last one is by far the most likely reason here and in fact the number 1 error done by most people that try to interface to a DLL through the Call Library Node. DLLs come from the C world and want to be called like that and one important rule there is that memory buffers to be filled, must always be created by the caller. This is different in LabVIEW itself since LabVIEW manages all the memory for you and allocates it whenver necessary but this can't work for calling DLLs as LabVIEW has ABSOLUTELY no way to know what a DLL function might need as memory buffer.
You can create such a buffer by either executing the Initialize Array function with the correct parameters or in LabVIEW 8.2 you can directly configure array and string parameters in the Call Library Node configuration to create the necessary buffer. I prefer the Initialize Array variant since the other one is a LabVIEW 8.2 only feature and creates a fixed size buffer while for your frame buffer you will likely have to allocate a memory buffer whose minimum size depends on the bitmap format and bitmap size the function is going to return.

HEEEEEELP - trouble using Apple ID

Some time ago i changed my e-mail adress and therefore i had to change my Apple ID to the new e-mail. So far so good.
I now have trouble using my Apple ID on my iPhone. It automatically logs on the old Apple ID, but there is no code for that Apple ID anymore. When i use the password i used with my old Apple ID, it will not accept (i have not changed it - only the "username")
When i go into my Apple ID account, the old e-mail adress is deleted (only the new e-mail adress is in my account), so how can it be, that the old Apple ID is the one my phone wants to use?
I have tried changing my password on the old account, by pressing "fotgot password", but the mail to reset my Apple ID is sent to my new e-mail and therefore it is the password to my new Apple ID i'm changing.
I hoped it only was a problem because the old phone had already been logged in with the old Apple ID, but i have just recieved my new iPhone 5s and now i can't get all my previous purchases and stuff to the new phone, because it also wants to use the old Apple ID, and i still have no password.
It is also causing my iCloud to not work proberly.
What to do? Hope someone can help me.

I just skipped the part of the setup with my old e-mail, and did the setups manually when my new phone was done setting up. Now I can use my Apple ID and iTunes and iCould account for the first time in months.

Trouble using AirPlay between iMac and AppleTV

I'm running OS X Lion 10.7.5 and I'm having trouble using AirPlay between iMac and AppleTV (2nd Gen). It used to work fine, but for some reason it just stopped responding. I can see my media on my iMac from AppleTV and I can see AppleTV from my iMac when attempting to use AirPlay. However, when I try to pull or push media from my iMac to AppleTV it just stalls and never loads. AirPlay works fine from my iPhone and iPad with AppleTV - it's limited to my iMac only.
I'm using a Netgear R7000 wireless router and a Netgear AC120 WiFi Extender and as such, I have 4 available wireless networks (2 from the router and 2 from the extender / 2 - 2.4 GHz and 2 - 5 GHz). My internet access is great and my network performance is good across the board. All of my software/firmware is up to date (iMac, AppleTV and router/extenders). I've tried all combinations (mixing/matching) all of my wireless networks between devices (iMac/AppleTV) - nothing makes a difference (again, AirPlay works fine between my mobile devises/AppleTV). Netgear Genie has been making changes to my network settings as new firmware has been installed in both the router and extender. I'm guessing there is something screwy going on with the network settings on the iMac, but I can't figure it out.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm glad you got it all working. Out of interest, how do you (or your son) connect to the internet now? Is it just a dial-up connection? If it is, I am sure you know that, even if you get the Apple TV to share the connection, the speed will seriously limit the use of many of the Apple TV's features.
The Airport Extreme is a great router but you will need a DSL or cable modem as well as it won't connect to the internet without one. There are many great (and cheaper!) combined modem/routers available if your son wants to get a high-speed network up and running at lower cost. Any other computers, phones, games consoles etc that you may have in the house can then all connect easily.
I hope that I have helped a little and I will look out for future posts in case I can help again.

Trouble using facetime on another device with same apple id

I am having trouble using facetime with my wife. I have an iPad 2 and she has an IPhone 4S. When we try to facetime, we are able to connect for a few seconds and then it drops off. We are then unable to reconnect. We both have the same apple Id and e-mail address although I am trying to contact her via her mobile number. Any suggestions would be grateful received.

Trouble using Safari on start-up with pop-up error

Hi,
I'm having trouble using Safari. Every time I open up the application, a small screen popped up saying "Error- Failed to load the FastBrowserSearchPlugin plugin.* -[BrowserWindowController currentWebView]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x7aa570". What can I do to get rid of this issue. I am assuming it has something to do with the Fast Browser Search engine located on the top right of the safari app. Help me please! Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

I've got probably the same problem. Got a MacBook (2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, black) and did the Apple Migration App to get all data from a PowerBook (with Leopard on it). Did all updates.
Safari and Firefox don't want to show any JavaApplet.
Is there a problem between old PowerPC and Intel-Plattform.
Maybe it would be a good idea to reinstall Java, but how?

YES! I am having a lot of AppStore problems since iOS 6. My 2 main issues are:
1. AppStore crashes constantly or will just sit & spin then does nothing at all.
2. If I search for a specific App, making sure my spelling is correct, AppStore will NOT bring the app up. Instead, it will bring up unrelated apps.
Podcasts app does the same thing, as well as jumbling up dates. Very impossible to find the correct episode.
APPLE, please tell me you are reading this and that a fix is quickly under way!!

Did you try downloading the movie from iTunes on your iPad? I know it takes longer but I'd try that.
Also try to reset all settings.
Settings > General > Reset. Reset all settings.

Let us only work only with sampling procedure with sampling scheme.
I have taken one inspection characteristic. It is quantitavie characteristic. It has lower limit as 10% & upper limit as 15%.
what I have done
1)
I have created one sampling scheme = ABC
Valuation parameter = variable inspection by S method
sampling table = severity/AQL
For normal inpsection (4) I have taken AQL as 2.
Lot size = 100
Sample size = 15
K-Factor = 3

I created one sampling procedure = XYZ
Sampling type = Use sampling scheme
Valuation mode = Variable inpscetion S - Method (two limits)
without inpsection points
assigned sampling scheme = ABC
No multiple samples
Inspection severity 4
AQL value 2.000
3)
I assigned the sampling procedure in the plan with the characteristic.
4)
I did GR for 100 & sample of 15 generated.
why I have done
1)
In sampling scheme
valuation parameter = variable inspection by S method (because my characteristic is quantitative)

In sampling procedure
Valuation mode = Variable inpscetion S - Method (two limits) (because my characteristic is quantitative with lower & upper limit )
My issues:
1) Is my settings for a quantitative characteristic with lower & upper limit correct?
2) During results recording system is asking to enter StdDev. What is standard deviation?
3) How characteristic is accepted & rejected? I am not getting any pop up to select accept or reject?

We built up a LabVIEW RT environment with LabVIEW 7.1 and relating drivers. There is a problem that we use some non-NI cards in this system and we did not know how to install the dll driver.
Could you give me some ideals?

As it states in the LV RT User Manual - Appendix A (7.0) you might get more info on ni.com/info with info code RTDRVS.
What kind of instrument/io-/bus-cards are you using?
As I thought the VI calling the DLL would download the dll to the RT target automatically when run the VI. However, there are probably some restrictions (e.g. Call Library Nodes that access an operating system API other than Pharlap).
In the 7.0 release notes it is mentioned: When building a start-up application that uses shared libraries (DLLs) with the LabVIEW Application Builder, LabVIEW opens the DLLs Used by Application dialog box and lists the DLLs used by the application. Some DLLs might report the following error:
Target OS fails to load this DLL
Ignore the warning and click th
e OK button if you already transferred the DLL to the RT target. If you have not transferred the DLLs to the target, FTP the DLLs to the /ni-rt/system directory of the RT target.
