Trouble with 6300 wireless presenter

I have been trying to connect wireless presenter from my 6300 to my computer. Its a toshiba laptop with Vista basic i have installed pc suite and and the wireless presenter and the icon is in the task bar running and says 'waiting for connection'. The phone is paired with the computer and bluetooth is on both devices, in the presenter on the phone shows my computer but when i press connect a message on my phone says 'connection failed. make sure bluetooth device on the pc is ready and try again. I have hit a brick wall and dont have a high technology knowlege can anyone help!!!!

You need to disable BT connection on PC Suite Connection Manager as it will reserve BT COM port so Wireless Presenter is not able to use that port. After this, create connection using phone (Wireless Presenter application).

Trouble with Apple Wireless networks

I have aan extended wireless network in our house, across four apple wireless devices: Time Capsule (which is the lead device), an airport extreme (dual-band), an airport extreme (dual band II) and an Airport Express 802.11n.
The dual-band II is a new device and since I have incorporated it i have had issues with the wireless network that only seem to be solved if we turn the Express off. The Express is in a Kitchen, which is beneath a study where the Extreme dual band II is.
Does anyone have any idea why there might be a problem (seems like some kind of wave interference) and how i solve it. I put the express in the kitchen so I could connect it to a Sonos device, which then allows me to use airplay with the Sonos.

Since all of your AirPorts are 802.11n models, you can only have one base station that will be extended. You can have more than one to extend it. So, in this case, the two 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Stations (AEBSn) & the AXn would be attempting to extend the wireless range of the Time Capsule (TC).
Think of it as the TC is at the hub of a wheel and each of the extending base station would be on individual spokes of that wheel. The issue here would be the farther away an extending base station is, the less bandwidth that will be available at that part of the extended network ... and possibly why you are getting the results that you are.
By default, the AXn (or any AirPort will not be set to extend a network. You would have to set this as an option within the AirPort Utility. If you didn't already do this for the AXn, then it would be in its default configuration of a wireless router that would be broadcasting its own wireless network ... and NOT extending the TC's network.

Trouble with printing wireless

Can anyone help. Up until recently I have had no trouble printing wirelessly with iPad and HP photos mart B210 series. Recently it has become a nightmare.
Printing jobs are left in a que. it connects to the printer, but will not complete print task. The same problem occurs with mac book pro. Printer is connected
To router and so is iPad and MacBook. Iphone4s also a problem sending print jobs. Have spent long hours trying to sort this out .but to no avail.
Then suddenly I van print with iPad and mac book but not phone!,

Did you happen to make any changes to your WiFi network at about the time your trouble started?
I suggest you unplug your WiFi router for a few seconds. Then reset the network in your iPad and iPhone. Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will need to reconnect each to WiFi.
Is it possible you have a neighbor whose Wifi router happens to have the same name (SSID) as yours? It is possible for a printer, an iPad or a computer to jump to a different WiFi base station with the same name. This happened to me a few weeks ago when I had trouble printing. (There are a LOT of WiFi base stations out there named Linksys!)

Trouble with my wireless and cable internet connections with S05

I got a Lenovo S205 last month and have been having trouble connecting it to the internet.
I connect wirelessly to my internet box and sit about 1m away from it. Even though I am so close and my connection shows full strengh on my computer when I am browsing the internet pages often fail to load or miss images or css. I can sit and hit refresh for a mintue before the page loads but my wireless icon never says it has lost connection or signs me out of msn etc.
I tried a different brower to check it was not that but it is still the same. I also find when speaking on skype that my video feed will stop and start again and the sound doesn't come through smoothly.
Because of the trouble and how close I am to the internet box I tried with a cabel but when I plug it in and turn off wireless the computer doesnt seem pick it up and says I have no connection. I tried the same cabel in my old laptop and it worked fine so it seems something wrong with my port.
What can I do to fix it? Thanks

hey steffi,
try uninstalling both the wired and wireless drivers for your unit.
let windows install its own generic drivers and try again on both wired and wireless connection at your home.
if possible, try it at a different location and see if it makes any difference. If you are able to connect and have no problems browsing the web on a different wireless/wired connection, then you will need to check the settings of your home's modem

Having trouble with multiple wireless users on WRT54G router

Basically, there are 3 of us wirelessly sharing the internet via a linksys WRT54G router. I have our router password-protected, to avoid randoms stealing out broadband. I am a Mac user (3 year old computer), the other 2 are on PC laptops.
At the moment, I have an excellent internet connection, and it's working just fine. However, if my room mate connects with their laptop (a fairly new model), my internet connection stops working. I still have a signal, but it just really slows down/often stops working entirely. It's as if their wireless connection takes priority and ignores mine (essentially nullifying the router's purpose).
Has anyone come across a problem like this before? Your assistance would be super helpful and appreciated.

Hi, perhaps you may try the following steps to improve the performance of your router:
• Upgrade the router’s firmware
• Reset the router after the firmware upgrade
• Optimize the router’s wireless settings
• Use a wifi analyzer like http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/ to set a non overlapping channel to the router
• Relocate the router on a more central location for better wireless coverage
• Avoid placing the router on a glass or metallic surface

Troubles with Mac Wireless connection from a PC

Okay, I'm a novice with proper technical terms, but I'll try and describe the problem best I can.
Here's what we have: Mac desktop computer, hooked up to the internet. That Mac desktop has wireless, and is able to transfer that internet connection to other wireless computers. We also have a Mac laptop and a Dell laptop. When the security is turned off, both laptops can pick up the connection just fine.
However, we want the security on for obvious reasons, and when it is turned on, the Mac laptop logs in, no problems. The Dell laptop sees the wireless network, but when I try to connect, it asks me for the Network Key and no matter what we try it will not work.
Anyone know how to solve this problem - other than throwing the Dell out the window and getting a Mac laptop?

You can't solve this problem.
When using a Mac as a software base station (sharing internet via Airport) a non-Mac will NOT be able to connect if you use a password.
The only real option is to use a wireless router.

TS2634 I'm having trouble with my wireless keyboard, it isn't locating the iPad. I'm not seeing anything in my guide to help me.

You need to find a CDMA carrier in the UK and see if they offer iPad data plans. If not, you can sell it and get a GSM iPad the one that uses SIM cards (the AT&T version here in the USA).

Trouble with Canvio Wireless Adapter

I just received the Canvio Wireless Adapter and am trying to set it up.
First off, I thought it would be accessible via Windows, but I'm not seeing how that's done, so at least I thought I could use it with my iPhone. I connected it via the instructions, and then connected to the Toshiba wadp connection. It detects my Western Digital external drive, but when trying to browse, I get a message saying to check the device to make sure it has access to the wireless adapter.
I thought when connecting to the network adapter in Windows, it would then allow me to browse the folders on the external drive via explorer since it's on that network.
Do I need to enable something on the external drive? It's NFTS formatted, and I have sharing turned on.
Any ideas?

Yeah, I meant I was using a Windows explorer window, not Internet Explorer. The drive works fine when I plug it directly into the computer, but when I connect to the adapter in Windows, then try to access the drive, it's not even recognizing the drive.
The manual says if everything's configured properly, there will be two green lights and a blue light, the blue light signalling the drive is being read. There's no blue light on my adapter so I'm gusesing there's something not right in the settings. Just can't figure out what it is.
Too bad it doesn't work, definitely seems like a good product.

Troubles with loading wireless firmware

On the boot I get a error about loading the wireless firmware. Who can I find this error in the log?

Improper irony aside, I have the same problem on three different machines with latest udev (091-3). Downgrade to 091-2 (if you have still the package in cache) solves the issue and firmware is loaded again.

Troubles with IQ775 Wireless

I had my 775 at home plugged in to an Ethernet Cable. Originally it was plugged in and the wireless was turned on. I was told to only have one connection (it kept having issues). So I decided to just have it plugged in, as that was more reliable than wireless. All I did to the computer was Disable the wireless.
Now that I have moved my computer, I no longer have access to an ethernet cable, and I need to have it use the wireless. How do I go about turning the wireless back on?
When I go to Network connections, wireless does not show (it used to have an icon with an X through it).
I have searched my computer and it seems that there is no wireless driver. I have searched and searched. Does anyone know how I can go about getting the wireless up and running again?

From windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Network Adapters. Does your wireless device show up here ( with or without an error icon against it ) ?
What operating system do you have installed?

That is a non-postscript, USB printer. HP's driver is for USB only, because it bypasses CUPS (called a monolithic driver).
Easiest way to get a CUPS driver is install hpijs + foomatic + ghostscript:

I am having troubles with my wireless keyboard

I downloaded the software to my palm. I opened it up, put my Zire 71 on it, and I tried to type in my name in the "Test string here: line but it didn't work. I left my keyboard open all night. And it worked. After I closed it, it didn't work again. So I put in some new batteries in it, tested it out and it still doesn't work. I hope I didn't waste my christmas present potential on this keyboard. Please help me out!

How to use Toshiba BT with Nokia Wireless Presenter?

How in earth I'm supposed to do it? Nokia help file is very very bad. Toshiba finds my phone, but only as a modem, I have a feeling that it is a wrong protocol At control panel, I can find a Local Bluetooth COM-port, and LocalCOM-client says COM8.
Phone will find the notebook, but that's it, it will hang soon after, when trying to get connected. BT version is 5. something (newest)
