I have a hp 15 laptop with windows 8.1 I am trying to use time warner cable tv on my internet explorer I downloaded silverlite when I watch the tv my pic and sound cuts in and out bad if anyone can hel me with this I would appreate it

The fact that it works at all indicates that Silverlight is working.
I would guess this is download speed or connectivity issues causing your problem.
Is there maybe a lower quality setting you can choose to reduce bandwidth you're demanding?
Are you wirelessly connecting to your router?
Drop outs from poor reception could cause that.
Move closer to or in a more direct line of sight to the router.
You can also fashion a simple reflector from tinfoil you stick behind the router and it improves the signal a bit.
( I'm not kidding ).
Or plug a network cable in. Way faster than wifi.
Could you download the entire file?

If you are saying that after signing into iCloud it is telling you device is not found, it could be for any number of reasons. If the battery is dead, if the SIM has been removed, or if someone else has the phone and they have restored it, it will not be shown. Also, if you located it once and then sent a remote wipe, it disables the abililty to locate the phone with Find My iPhone.

I'm having the exact same problem. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what is causing it, but I can tell you what it isn't(at least in my case). I made an in app purchase yesterday using a MasterCard I had linked to my account with no problems. This morning, my card from my new bank came in so I switched it over(American Express), and all of a sudden can't make IAP. I thought maybe there was an issue with the card, so I tried it out on a .99 app, and it worked no problem. So I got with tech support and they had me reset all of my phone settings -_-, then my network settings. No change. I tried restarting the phone obviously, closing the App and trying again, no luck. They suggested I call my bank and make sure the address I had on file for the card matched what I supplied for my Apple account, and that didn't fix it either. I tried IAP on two different apps and it was the same, could not connect to App Store error. I'm still trying to figure it out, and I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I hope I at least save you some trouble of trying these things. If I find anything out I'll let you know.

Having trouble with music apps shutting down, even after I swipe them off the screen. They go off then come back on in a few minutes. This happens in my car either ubs plugged in, or bluetooth. ANy one else have that issue?

Having trouble with mail.app always cc'ing myself

Having trouble with mail.app always reply all is cc'ing myself. Solution was to add another address under the account so that it recoginzes aliases as well as the primary account that you are sending from. Then it will recognize all the addresses and aliases associated with the account.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

One of your kids made an in app purchase that you did not know about. Some apps include in app purchase and games do this quite often. The game itself is free, but you might have to purchase additional items to enhance the game or to unlock certain levels.
You can prevent this from happening in Settings>General>Restrictions>In App Purchases>Off.

Trouble with updating apps

Having trouble with updating some of my apps. You Tube esp.

Apps are tied to the account that downloaded the apps, not to the device that they are on, so any apps that your son downloaded can only be updated via his account and vice versa.
You can sign in and out of accounts via Settings > Store and tapping the account on the right-hand side. If you no longer use the apps that your son downloaded then you could delete them (or if they are free apps you could delete and then download them under you account) - you could always reset to factory settings (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Setting) and reload just your apps from scratch (apps can be re-downloaded for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519), which is a 'cleaner' way of doing it

Since uploading to iOS 7 I have been having trouble with TV apps

Hi has anyone having trouble with the TV apps like hd cartoon or cartoon world for a few days now I have been have trouble watching the apps all seem in slow motion the mouths don't move with the voices I hope this isn't because I upgraded to iOS 7 ? Is anyone having the same trouble?

I think I remember having a similar problem with that app a while back. I put it down to the developers server being very buggy. Sorry I couldn't of been more help!

Trouble with Facebook app

last week my iphone 4 FB app stopped giving me the camera icon on photo albums for me to upload pictures. Have deleted the app twice and reinstalled still no luck. the rest of the fb app works. But not this. also had alot of trouble with pandora too. When it wants to a new text message will kill it. I have had to delete it twice and reinstall to get that fixed. Callled apple today they had no idea how to help me. Any ideas?? bit mad as only had this phone a month.

Again, it's not the phone, or operating system. It's the App. Perhaps your gf, hasn't updated her apps in a while.
Mine changed about a week ago too. Other's have reported the same thing. It's just not worth crying about.

Sorry you still don't understand. There's no point in deleting one contact, I don't want to delete my Facebook contacts I just don't want them to appear in with my local contacts. And I wouldn't be able to re-add that one contact without deleting Facebook completely and reinstalling it since the contacts app gets its data from Facebook. I'm not "pushing any memory limits" I have a 16gb phone and a 32gb memory card and that's pretty sad if it can only handle 486 contacts ESPECIALLY if it's going to add your Facebook contacts and not enable you to remove them. The contact app is having trouble saving my preferences. I highly doubt it has ANYTHING to do with the actual contacts, i believe it is a problem with the app itself because I can still add local contacts and delete them but none of my preferences such as the Facebook contacts not appearing and setting it to the dark theme will save.

Troubles with Kobo app

I'm having trouble with the Kobo app on my Iphone 4. I loaded it into Itunes on my computer and it synced with my phone but when I press the icon on my phone it just flashes and doesn't open. Can someone help?

Mmmm...delete the app in iTunes, when prompted, move all files to trash. Empty your trash. Then sync your phone again. This will insure that all traces of the app are gone from both your phone & computer. Then, re-download the app to your iTunes library(you can re-download purchased apps for free). Then, sync it back to your phone.

Trouble With WSJ App

I have a digital subscription to the WSJ but when I access on my Ipad via the WSJ App it wants me to pay $22 per month and will only let me access articles without a "key" (which is most of the content). WSJ tech support says it should work for me. But it doesn't. Any ideas?
