Trouble with a study course portal - buttons are unclickable...

I have a sage accounts e-learning course i am doing - its an online course. When you go to the site you have to log-in - up to this point all works fine...
Once you are logged in you have to then click on a button that says lauch site, this then tries to launch a site in a seperate screen....
Google Chrome; Screen opens, site doesnt it just sits with the timer on the screen
Internet Explorer: does the same as google chrome
Firefox: Opens the screen and the site, lets you work through most of the course but in parts where you have to click on buttons to do things it doesnt let you click on them... when you clikc them nothing happens...

Problem still works in safemode.
Checked out that link... its not an extensions or theme issue. But went on to look into the plug-in issues... tried disabling them one at at time and problem was always there. By doing this have discovered the programme is using Shockwave flash 10.1.102.64 to work. As when you disable that plug-in it stops working altogether.
So im figuring its a problem with that... ive tried re-installing it but its made no difference.

BI content with folder structure in portal Content Area

HI Dear Friends,
I have a requirement in my current project where i am integrating the BI reports with SAP EP.Iviews are associated with BI Reports.In the portal on clicking workset it should display folders in the portal content area with Icons instead of in Detail navigation .On click of the displayed folders it should display its sub content with Icons.
I tried in all ways but later i came to know there there is a SAP BI business package which would come up with predifined iviews associated with BI. By importing this business package we can dispaly the BI content in the portal in a folder format .
I am using BI and EP 7.0 versions.

   Let me understand your requirements, correct me if I understood it wrong. You need to display BI reports in Folder structure that is similar when you log on through BEx analyzer or WAD. If this is correct, then you need to upload the BI Role which contain all the required Folder structures and it BI Queries or BI Queries url assigned to that role.Once you upload this role on to portal , you will see folder structure on PCA.
Example
BI Reports - Folder 1
I--> FI reports -- Subfolder 1
I            I--> AP reports 1
I--> CO reports -- Subfolder 2
               I--> Cost Report 1

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

I'm trying to login with LoginProvider, and I want that users after login going to another page,
in the file display.template i wrote

You may specify the module the user have to authenticate with adding in the url parameters module=LDAP for instance.
Another solution is to specify an authentication level in your authentication module like 0 for anonymous and 1 for LDAP or any other module you are using. Then in the login url, you add the parameter autlevel=1 (require to authenticate against a module for which the level is at least 1).

Trouble with Fixed Pixel Width Portal

I'm working on a portal for the University of Tennessee Martin, and I'm trying to make it a fixed pixel width(800). We tried setting the width for each region, but it would always revert to a percentage. We then tried adding empty regions out to the side. It worked for IE 6, but when we looked at it on Safari and Netscape spaces between regions had been added, things weren't aligned; it was a mess. Could someone tell me if this is possible and how?

Trouble with the home and lock button

I was on google translate on my ipod touch and then when I clicked the home button to go to the homepage, it didn't work. Then I tried the lock button but it didn't work either and when I pressed it down for a long time it doesn't turn off like it usually does. I tried clicking both of them simultaneously for about a sec and I was able to take a screenshot. Also, I can still use google translate but if I try to go to YouTube from one of the buttons there, it doesn't work. Can someone please give me some help? I really can't afford to buy a new ipod touch nor can I pay for it to be fixed at the stores.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

Newbie - Trouble with movie embedded in a button

How do I get it to not play again after clicking? I realize
it is responding this way because after I click, I am technically
"mousing over" because my mouse is still there. Do I need to do
this differently or is there some simple text I can add so that it
doesn't play again?

Acrobat 8 and earlier depend on QuickTime to handle SWF files. But QuickTime now only supports very old versions of Flash. Hence SWF support is broken.
However, Acrobat 9 and Reader 9 use Flash Runtime and handle SWF and FLV files natively. They don't require QuickTime to handle these formats.

PPT action buttons are not present in pdf file upon conversion

Am using Office 2003 (SP3) and Acrobat 8 (version 8.1.6).
Have been using action buttons in the presentations for several years, works fine.
When converting existing files, action buttons in both PPT show and pdf file just works, no problems.
Newly generated presentations work fine as PPT show. But when converted to pdf file, the action buttons are simply missing.
Have verified that all action buttons are "at front", same result.
Have tried to avoid corporate templates by creating a blank presentation and building a small and simple navigating presentation. Again, works fine as PPT show. And again, upon conversion there are no action buttons present in the pdf file.Corporate changes thereby should be ruled out.
Have checked all settings (including "Adobe PDF, Change Conversion Settings") between a working and a non-working PPT file, can't identify any differences.
A colleague helped out (using Acrobat 6), same result. But upon activation of "Adobe PDF, Change Conversion Settings, Restore Defaults", the action buttons worked for him. Tried it with Adobe 8, no such luck.
Have trialed the "Prep 4 PDF" tool, then the PDF file is complete and the "go to slide" keys appear and work again.
All new updates available are installed, anyone experienced the same and found a fix for this trouble?

Have tried both ways, same result.
When working with new presentations, the pdf file is viewable, but the action buttons are not present.
When working with past presentations, the action buttons are present and do work as expected.

Trouble with Griffin's Roadtrip

I love my new ipod with video, but I can't listen to it in my car. I am having trouble with my griffin roadtrip. There are only two fm stations that have nothing on them and when I tune to either of them and hold the "quick start" button nothing happens. It charges my ipod fine and the light changes from red to green. I have never used this type of adapter before and don't know if I am missing something basic, or if this is a common problem.
I would appreciate any suggestions!

I too, am having the same problem and have had trouble for several months, close to a year now. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease if anyone knows, I will beg. I generally have to search for the Gold dot that shows the new message by scrolling up and down to find it. For example, todays date of February 6th. The response I get from some people may be August last year, or yesterday or last week. Very very frustrating and tough trying to run a business when you depend on Skype so much. Anything I can do? Running on Windows XP if that helps. Thx in advance.

Ok, let's attempt to explain what you are doing here. My
reference is the example we discussed in the other thread so keep
that in mind.
In the example you have a button as a movieclip in the
library and linked that to a class - in the example the class is
called CategoryButton.as. The combination of that visual asset in
the library and the class defines ONE object. Think of it this way:
we could have used the drawing API's in the class to define the
visual aspects of the button, in which case we would just have a
class that makes up our button as a whole. Having a asset in the
library and linking that to a class is basically the same thing. In
the end you have ONE object.
So, let's look at that 'object' thing a bit more, a real life
comparison: the engine in your car is an object, but the parts that
make up the engine are also objects. Because every object in the
engine has certain properties the thing in the end does the job we
expect it to do. When the engine doesn't start, obviously something
is wrong and we need the car doctor. He/she analyzes the problem,
takes out a part (one of the objects in the system), fiddles with a
screwdriver and a piece of cloth, puts the part back in and there
you go again, happily polluting the air while you're at it. Now you
have to know, in the beginning the engine only had a few parts. But
it was hard to repair! So they decided to split up the system in
several subsystems and the subsystems in parts. Now it became very
easy to repair the thing. Back to programming. What do you know?
It's the same stuff all over again! We actually learned something
from history. In the beginning we wrote zillions of lines of code
in just one file. Then ancenstors of the famous engine builders
decided that they could do the same thing here! Smart guys... So
what exactly is there to learn here. Well, it's probably better to
have more classes than trying to cut down on classes. It's just
easier to repair something when you can isolate the problem to one
tiny part in the system!
Now looking at your class, here is what you are doing: you
create a part of the engine and are trying to stuff 5 of the exact
same parts in there! Highly creative and probably something that
David Copperfield could do but you are Big Mama In The Mud!
The buttons are individual parts that together (as a
collection) make up a subsytem, called Menu. The Menu is the casing
of the parts and we attach some wires to it to communicate with
other subsystems. The buttons are 'switches'. In the example, when
they are clicked they can switch themselves off but they just don't
know when to switch to 'on' again. That is where the Menu comes in.
It receives a signal from one of its parts so it can decide to
switch a button on again.
Good luck and now I'm gone because my copy of Flash CS4 has
downloaded!
