Trouble with Activating Trial vs CS5.5
My hard drive crashed and I lost my CS5.5, thanks to the community I was able to download a trial version on my new hard drive. The problem is that Adobe is recognizing my serial number as an upgrade version, which at the time I purchased it was not what I thought I was buying. I was running CS2 and they could not or would not up- grade from that series. So when I try to activate the trial verson with my CS5.5 serial number, I get a window that opens and doesn't recognize my CS2 serial number as valid,( there is no option for CS2) So trying the other option of clicking the buying button, I 'm informed that It's no longer availabe.
I tried calling Adobe and the women I spoke to, told me that they did upgrade from CS2 and that's why I had that product. She tried to turn me over to the tech support, but after a long wait on hold, I gave up waiting. So how do I resolve this loop? I no longer have CS2 on my new hard drive because of the crash, and I'm not sure if I still have the software. I'm sure I paid for the full version of CS5.5. And the days are counting down on my trial version.
I'm not sure how this helps. I went to the web page found the cs2 serial number. when the window came up to activate the trial version, it looked for an older versions to upgrade, and of course mine has been lost, and it dosen't have CS2 on the activate window. I inserted the new serial number from the sight but nothing happened.

Troubles with activating trial version of illustrator CC

I know this question came up many times, but none of the answers posted fix my problem.
I'm using CC account from my work, we have a business pay monthly plan. Therefore we don't have actual serial number, but various CC programmes have been installed on various work computers and they work in full version, as they should on a monthly subscription basis. However when I downloaded Creative Cloud on my computer and then proceeded to download Illustrator I can only choose trial. I initially did download the trial, thinking it will activate once I open Illustrator but it asked me to activate the product by inserting serial number. Proposed solutions I found, like clicking 'License This Software' and then clicking sign in and signing with my account, don't work and every time I just get taken to the insert serial window. We thought it might be some error so I uninstalled Illustrator and downloaded it again and then it didn't even give me trial, it straight away tells me that trial has expired (earlier I had 26days left) and I should buy the product, which, when I click it, takes me to the website with subscription plans. Now I tried uninstalling and installing again, uninstalling whole creative cloud software and installing again, downloading Illustrator from scratch and it doesn't fix anything. I also tried logging in on another account and the same thing happens. I'm on mac, running OS X 10.9.5.This is an open forum, not Adobe support... you need Adobe staff to help

Trouble with activation after upgrading to iOS 7.0
This is ridiculous. Still having trouble with activating my phone after upgrading to iOS 7.0. How does Apple expect us to make / receive phone calls???
It may take a while becuse millions of people are doing it at the same time. Patience young grasshopper. Try restarting the phone and then try activating again. It took mine a good long time before the activation completed successfully

Having trouble with Color Swatches - InDesign CS5 to CS6
This may be a repeat - I'm not sure I posted properly the first time.
Having trouble with the Swatches in CS6. When I add our institution's colors, they look dull/gray in CS6. I know it's not just my screens because I created a quick EPS in CS5 for comparison. When I add the EPS file to my doc, the colors pop into the Swatches box but they are clearly different colors. The most remarkable is Pantone 484, which used to be a bright scarlet. Now it's a strange, dull mauve.
I took a screen shot to show a colleague with more experience, but he's stumped. There are very few of us that use InDesign on our campus and we're all self taught. Our tech folks usually come to US for solutions.
I did try the instructions under "Display or Output Spot Colors Using Lab Values" in the Help menu, but nothing changed. That seemed to be the only applicable FAQ that I could find on my own.
Here is the relevant chunk of the screenshot I took - can anyone see what's gone wrong? Color blocks are "old" colors, next to Swatches which show the "new" hues.

Trouble with CS6 Trial, Error codes #4960 and #102
Having trouble w CS6 trial, first #4960, now #102. I have been trying to install CS6 Master Suite trial and had to pause installation when I had to leave studio for home. When I got home, resumed installation and it took a while, but everything seemed to be fine until I got an error code #4960. I submitted a question earlier and finally managed to throw away folder where program had been stored, threw away all .dmg files in downloads folder, threw away ADA program in applications folder, cleared browser cookies, restarted computer and now i am getting error code #102 (which the trouble shooting says indicates not enough space for file, but this is a brand new macbook pro). I also tried downloading each program file seperately (photoshop, premier, illustrator, etc.) and my computer tries to open the file from the corrupted folder (which i'm certain i tossed). please, someone help!!!
This error ususally comes up if the extraction of files was interrupted or the installer package is incomplete or corrupted.
Try downloading it again and check.

Trouble with captivate trial download for mac
im trying to download the trial version of captivate on my mac, the akamai netsession interface is now on my desktop, i go through installation, it makes that happy sound and says the installation was successful, but nothing actually happens, no new folders or documents, or applications, seems like sort of a dead end.
To investigate i clickedon Akamai in "other" of my system preferences is tells me the status is "forbidden" but I am the administrator and i have never used this free trial before, so why am I "forbidden?"

Having trouble with Adobe master collection cs5
I have tried to download this file SO
many times. I have put probly 30hours + into downloading this file which is like 4.25 g or something.
I am running windows 7 64bit.
Had no problem downloading adobe photoshop cs5 for a trial.
Ive tried
internet explorer many times.
Safari
Opera
and none of them worked.
I even tried a turrent of the trial! (Which is way bigger than it should be so when it got to about 6 hours and only like 10% done I gave up and deleted.
Just a note. I can't have my internet on for 20 hours straight. With other downloads of this size I just have to pause over night and resume in the morning.
But this one...I pause, over night, I don't even turn my laptop off, And 10 hours later, I resume, and guess what? It starts over.
Same problem everytime.
Can someone please help or at least tell me what I am doing wrong with the pause botten?

Trouble with second+ lunching Photoshop CS5 under Windows XP 32-bit
I install trial version of Master Collection CS5. All right. Start the Photoshop CS5 Extended, change preferences and restart it. After second lunch of program, see critical error.
I try reset settings, without result. After full reinstall of Master Collection, Photoshop start normally again, and after restart program, without changing setings in this time, error showing again.
Window XP 32-bit SP3
2,4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 Gb DDR2
Radeon 1950 Pro 512Mb
Don't understand where can be problem with it.
Thanks.Yes, i tried enable and disable firewall, i Administrator. I install Master Collection without After Effects and Premier, also Contibute and OnLocation. I used default path on system drive C:/
I think PS somthinka create after first lunch, somthing with conflict in my progrmas or DLLs. But what it may be.
P.S. Also i tried fully reinstall Visual C++ 2005 and 2008. Someone write about this solution on a forums. -
I have just gotten a Iphone 4 16gb from my friend because I lost my droid. I went through the activation process, and when I got to the last page it said "Cannot load page"I reloaded the page and it still wouldn't load the page.The phone still says its not activated. Anybody know what the problem is.

If it was a 4G LTE droid, then you would likely have to have us assist with the activation since the iPhone 4 is not a 4G device, we would have to deactivate the SIM card that was in your android device. TROUBLE WITH FREE TRIAL EXPIRING
I downloaded a free trial of Acrobat Pro- It has just expired I now no longer open any pdf saved documents. Every attempt generates a message from Adobe telling me I can or must purchase the software formely under trial.
I am not interested in purchasing @ this time,and want only to restore the conventional Adobe software I had before I agrre to the trial offer.
AdobereaderxxxI had the same problem and followed the instruction to remove Acrobat and reinstall Reader.
I am now able once again to open my computer PDF files with the newly downloaded Adobe Reader BUT when I try to open PDF files in emails or on home pages the following message appears. "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running please exit and try again [ 1:1 ]." Can you advise please. -
I'm trying to cover up text that i don't want to be seen in a public audience with a white box inside of Indesign. Low and behold, when i make the pdf you can still copy the text that has been covered up. Any ideas what would cause this? The original file is made in Indesign, and exported to a pdf.

Perhaps we should be looking at alternate strategies. Can you palce the PDF twice (or perhaps 4 times) and crop leaving a hole? Are you actually placing a PDF, or could you be using conditional text and turning it off? Casn you put the text in a non-printing frame? What's the reason for hiding the text? -
Trouble with the trial download.
The trial download installs the start over and does this again and again but never goes any further. What is wrong?
Jwalker03 what Adobe software title are you trying to download and install? Do you receive any specific error messages? Finally what operating system are you using?

Trouble with activation Twitter in Mountain Lion
Hello,
My twitter accounts won't activate on Mountain Lion, I get a message saying that my credentials are wrong (I have tested them twice on twitter website and they are correct).
The only time I got Twitter working is when I did a clean install after the upgrade from 10.7.
With the upgrade, twitter didn't work, same error message.
With the clean install, I managed to activate my accounts, but when I tried to send a tweet from Safari, I got the same message: my credentials are wrong.
Any ideas?

Not necessarily. It means that the device cannot connect to Apple's activation server.
There is another user on the discussion site currently having the same problem. It is quite possible that the activation server is busy or down right now.
Have you tried rebooting your router just to see if that helps or maybe disable your firewall and antivirus software and see if you can contact the server?
